The Cottage itself was perfect

. The only thing is in your listing for it, make it clear that the outside sitting area is not private... There was loads of Children around all week kicking footballs about in the part were we were sitting... Not really relaxing !!.... Overall loved the house, but that was our only complaint...

We very much enjoyed our stay at Captain's Cottage at The Bay, Filey

The site is excellent. It was perfect for our 2 children (one teen and one near teen) as we were all able to use the leisure facilities and enjoy exploring the holiday village. It's also a great spot for our chocolate Labrador! It was easy to both take a walk on the field (where Snoop enjoyed a morning swim in the pools!) and to walk down to the beach. The coast is beautiful. Easy to get to too so we had some lovely walks on the beach and some good times playing and relaxing on the huge sands. It's also a great spot to explore local places without having to go too far - Hunmanby, Flamborough, Bridlington, Scarborough, Filey etc. I enjoyed a few bike rides round the local areas too! And the cottage was brilliant. Clean, warm, spacious and a great set up for a holiday. It is well equipped, not only with kitchen equipment and bathroom facilities, but also having good Wi-Fi and a super TV, meant we could enjoy watching films or surfing the internet (a particular hit with our children!). We were all sad to leave. It's been one of the most relaxing holidays we've had for some time. We shall return!
