The property

Nestled in the North Yorkshire village of Lythe is Meadowfield House, a lovely, three-bedroom home.

Located paces away from a hub of amenities and a short distance to the coastline, Meadowfield House sits within the prime position of the North York Moors National Park, making it a wonderful base for touring the region; six guests are welcomed for a seascape.

Park up off-road before making your way indoors to your stylish new home.

Start your getaway in the homely sitting room, complete with a rustling woodburning stove, a plush corner sofa, and a wall-mounted Smart TV for entertainment.

Continue through to reach the handy utility room, where you can store your walking gear, and keep on top of your laundry, where you'll also find a convenient cloakroom.

Completing the ground floor is the well-equipped kitchen/diner, housing all the appliances for a self-catered stay, where you can rustle up tasty meals to be enjoyed either indoors or outdoors; take advantage of the rear decked area for an alfresco affair.

If you want to dine out, The Siddy is two doors down serving fantastic meals.

As day turns into night, retire upstairs to catch some rest from one of three well-appointed bedrooms; select from a king-size with TV and en-suite, a king, and a twin, all serviced by a bathroom.

Awaken to coastal views before preparing to travel the coastline, firstly stopping off at nearby Sandsend Beach, guiding you towards Whitby and its wealth of attractions; be sure to visit the Captain Cook Memorial Museum, climb the 199 Steps, tour the remains of Whitby Abbey, and grab an ice cream at Whitby Sea Front.

Nearby you'll also locate the remains of Mulgrave Castle, offering a countryside landscape for keen hikers, whilst Robin Hood's Bay Beach and Kettleness Beach offer further seaside settings to unwind.

Round off your break with a tour of the National Trust property, Ormesby Hall, a stroll along River Tees, and a visit to Dorman Museum, before returning home for sun set.

Head to the coast with Meadowfield House as your abode.
