A beautiful, stylish double fronted period cottage near the beach, boasting a lovely garden with BBQ, in this quaint and charming seaside village. This is a glorious Grade II Listed former fisherman's cottage which has been lovingly renovated with the comforts of 21st century living, whilst retaining original features such as wood panelling and exposed beams, to create a beautiful holiday cottage, just seconds from the beach!

Had a fabulous time

Children liked the bunk beds and the TV in the bedroom. We loved Robin Hoods Bay.

Enter this glorious cottage into a gorgeous, large sitting room with exposed beams and original wooden shutters at the windows.

There are two large, comfortable sofas and an arm chair - so you can sit back and relax after a day on the beach! - plus a flat screen Freesat TV and DVD and video players. A cast iron gas-fired log burning stove gives instant heat and a lovely, cosy ambience.

The kitchen is stylish and well-equipped with modern units and oak work surfaces, a double oven, electric hob, fridge/freezer, washing machine/dryer and microwave.

There is a dining area in the kitchen - you can sit with a glass of wine and keep the cook company! - with a large rustic dining table with a church pew to one side and farmhouse chairs to the other, an idyllic spot to enjoy meals together.

An under-stairs cupboard off the dining area provides a useful storage spot plus there is an I-Pod dock in the dining area, so you can enjoy your own music playlist.

The cottage has wide flight of stairs - unusual in period cottages - with an old lifeboat oar forming the handrail. At the top of the stairs is a small library of books for guests to enjoy.

This charming cottage has three pretty bedrooms. The first is a master bedroom with an original, ornamental fireplace, chandelier and a 4'6" brass bed with a deep mattress for extra comfort. An antique chest of drawers and an antique 'gentleman's wardrobe' provide plenty of storage.

A second double bedroom has a further double bed with floor to ceiling cupboards providing lots of storage, exposed floorboards and a cast iron fireplace (again, it's ornamental) with lovely sash windows to Sunnyside and beyond.

The third bedroom is a family bedroom with a triple bunk bed - the base bed is a 4' small double bed and the top bunk is a full size 3' single bed. This bedroom also has wonderful wooden floorboards and original timer shutters at the windows.

A lovely house bathroom brings together period and modern styling, with exposed stone stone walls and original wood panelling alongside a contemporary bathroom suite including a bath with a shower, WC and hand wash basin with beautiful blue-green Metro tiles.

To the side of the cottage are stone steps that lead to the outside space; this comprises a small clifftop garden with a bench and BBQ - perfect to enjoy a chilled glass of wine or even your morning coffee, as you plan your day. Through a white picket gate is an open space with fantastic sea views - why not take pre-dinner drinks and nibbles there and relax, taking in the glorious view?

Primrose Cottage is in a superb location in the heart of Robin Hood's Bay - within seconds you are on the lovely beach and close to the great inns, quaint shops and charming tea rooms that this picturesque and much-loved village is well-known for.
