“This is a wonderful part of the world and Ellerby was a great place from which to explore it.”

We (a 3-generational family celebrating a Special Birthday) found The Old Dairy to be just perfect for us. The kitchen is a great size for all to gather in during the day, likewise the lounge in the evening. It was extremely, clean, comfortable and full of everything one could wish for - great kitchen equipment, lovely books and toys for the children to use and the Welcome Hamper and flowers were much appreciated. It was obvious that great attention to detail had been paid to the property. ...

The garden was also a bonus with beautiful far reaching views to the sea. As well as doing a couple of good walks, we also explored Runswick Bay, Staithes, Robin Hoods Bay and Whitby. The Magpie Cafe in Whitby didn't accept dogs but Abbey Wharfe (on the other side of the river) did and the food was great. The neighbours were particularly friendly and we really enjoyed our visits to the Ellerby Inn where the food was great and we were made to feel very welcome. All in all we had a perfect week (even the weather was pretty good for February!). Thank you Sarah, Richard and family.
