Great stay over the Christmas period, 2021. The cottage was clean and tidy, well decorated with homely touches and everything we could wish for including plenty of china, cutlery, pots and pans, etc. Parking was immediately outside the front door, so very convenient. Downstairs was the kitchen, dining area and lounge area, open plan so socialisation was good, even when meal prep was happening. There is a downstairs cloakroom and a hallway with plenty of space. The rear doors open onto an outside seating area with table and chairs and a barbeque (Not used at Christmas!). There was an efficient dishwasher and a washing machine (later not used). Upstairs, two good sized bedrooms with very comfortable beds sleeping five, crisp white good quality linen and duvets, a great bathroom of good size with full sized double ended bath and overhead 'rainfall' shower. Good local walks down to a long and safe beach and onto the village of Filey, plus an 'on site' shop, cafe, pharmacy and pub meant we hardly needed to use a car. Additional Covid secure measures were in place including hand sanitising dispensers. I would thoroughly recommend Brig Cottage to couples and families.
Mr Farmery
We had a lovely relaxing, peaceful week at Brigg Cottage . Very clean , tidy and covid safe with hand sanitizers available in all the rooms . Umbrellas and even some outdoor games are available. Great facilities at the Bay Filey and a lovely beach . Would not hesitate to book Brigg Cottage again .
Mrs Lane
Great cottage in a fantastic location and was blessed with the weather. Brigg Cottage is lovingly maintained to a solid standard. Couple of points to mention. The front door lock needs seeing too quite awkward to lock. The bath handle falls off. Gutted that the sauna and steam room were out of action - not sure if I was being fobbed off though. Overall really delightful and would revisit
Mr Harland
Although the cottage was great ,the outside space was rubbish. We asked for a pet friendly home but we couldn't let him out as there was no boundary and there was 2 other families which let their 3 dogs roam around all the time( and go to the toilet and not pick it up) we felt kind of trapped. Plus for the amount of homes you had on site the amount of play areas for the children were abysmal. We were not blessed with the best weather, which is not your fault, (but apart from swimming ) which had to be booked in advance, we had to leave the site to find entertainment. We have stayed next door at Primrose Valley and whatever the weather we didn't leave the site. We were really looking forward to the holiday, the information we read looked perfect but sadly we felt let down. We might try again at another site but will check more closely the amount of properties and what is available to do.
Mr Jones
Lovely child friendly holiday village. Beach at the bay very clean but would benefit from having public conveniences close by. Brigg cottage was very comfortable and clean , fair walk to the beach however. Overall great holiday made even better by the glorious weather.
Mrs Oliver
This was the perfect cottage for our family of 5! It was clean, well equipped and comfortable. I was expecting the cottage to be a bit small for us but it had plenty of space for all the boys stuff!! We are thinking of when we can visit again.
Mr Arthur
We’ve just returned from a weeks holiday to The Brigg cottage. Very comfortable and well maintained property had everything we needed. Great location for the beach and surrounding area. Will definitely visit again Many thanks
Mrs Ritchie
The house on first glance looked fine. However the longer we stayed the more unclean we found the house. Underneath the sofa was completely filthy with large amounts of dust and grime. The floors were not clean either and we ended up cleaning this as our daughter has special needs and often lies on the floor for comfort. There were several dead insects on the bedroom floors also. I feel the house wasn’t very clean at all and I don’t expect to feel that I should clean somewhere I’m staying in but I felt compelled to do so as it wasn’t up to my standard of cleanliness. The location of the cottage was good. We found some lights didn’t work at the property also.
Mrs Duce
Great location for the beach and dog walking, very tidy and well kept site of holiday houses. We were kept well informed and everything was perfect.
Mr Taylor
Great cottage, super clean and tidy upon arrival. Kids absolutely loved it. Great facilities and restaurant. The site itself is really nice. Would definitely recommend and hope to return at some point.
Mrs Minns
