A superb, detached bungalow, located close to the beach and town centre in a quiet residential area, which has recently been completely refurbished and re-decorated to a high standard. Offering light and airy accommodation all on the same level, this luxury property is perfectly situated for families or couples wanting to enjoy a traditional seaside holiday in this delightfully quaint seaside town.

We’ve visited Filey for many years and have found a real GEM in Admiral’s Rest. An easy walk into town and country park which has fantastic views of Filey bay. Hope the next visitors enjoy their stay as much as we have.



The accommodation has a beach-inspired colour scheme and decor and includes a sitting room with distant views of the Cleveland Way, a wall-mounted, 49 “ flat screen Smart TV with Freeview, wood burning stove-style electric fire, comfortable seating and a selection of books and games and toys.

The stylish kitchen has an electric oven and gas hob, dishwasher, fridge, freezer, integrated microwave and washing machine.

There is a conservatory with seating and a TV; it overlooks the enclosed garden which has a patio area and table and chairs to enjoy drinks or meals outside.

There are two bedrooms - a double bedroom with a king-size bed plus a twin bedroom, both with TVs. The shower room has a rainfall shower plus WC and hand wash basin.

Outside is an enclosed rear lawned garden, ideal for sitting and enjoying the sunshine or eating meals al fresco as well as a front lawned garden




Located just seven miles south of the historic resort of Scarborough, Filey is a great place to explore and was recently listed in Conde Naste Traveller Top 30 UK Beaches.

Filey is a popular choice and is reminiscent of childhood holidays – an elegant and tranquil seaside town boasting a beautiful, award-winning beach, charming shops and plenty of activities for all the family.

FILEY BEACH With miles of golden, sandy beach nearby – recently voted the UK’s Best Beach in 2018 – there’s always plenty of room for the little ones to let off some steam and for the adults to walk for miles uninterrupted.

Or try your hand at water sports such as sailing or surfing or just settle down in a deck chair with a good book and enjoy the sunshine.

THE COBLE LANDING Lined with boats and kiosks selling coffee, tea, seaside snacks and even those ever-popular bacon sandwiches, The Coble Landing is a must to enjoy the views before a walk along the spacious promenade, dotted with coastal themed sculptures.

THE FILEY BRIGG You can walk to the tip of this narrow rock peninsular during low tide and maybe see a seal, sunbathing on the rocks.

The cliff top above The Brigg forms part of the Country Park, which is popular with picnickers, birdwatchers and hang-gliders and is the start of The Wolds Way.

FILEY MUSEUM A past winner of Discover Yorkshire Coast’s Small Attraction of the Year award, is housed in a building dating from 1696, and is crammed with fascinating memorabilia, including an extensive photographic archive.

DALBY FOREST Cyclists can enjoy a challenge at Dalby Forest, or perhaps follow some of the Tour De Yorkshire route and tackle the famous Cote De Harwood Dale or just pedal village to village along the idyllic country roads of the nearby Wolds and admire the views made famous by leading artist David Hockney.

BEMPTON CLIFFS Bird Lovers will love the nature reserve at Bempton Cliffs to see the 250,000 guillemots, gannets and puffins who flock there to raise their young between April and August.

It is a haven for birds and animals, including an important colony of great-crested newts and has an interesting Visitor Centre.

STEPHEN JOSEPH THEATRE Scarborough is 20 minutes north of Filey where theatre goers can enjoy the world premieres of Alan Ayckbourn plays plus Scarborough Open Air Theatre attracts many world-class artists – recent concerts have included Britney Spears, The Beach Boys, Little Mix and Tom Jones! RESTAURANTS Filey has a number of restaurants including many renowned fish and chip eateries, good local inns, English, Chinese and India restaurants.

There are charming tea rooms to enjoy the gentle pleasure of taking afternoon tea SHOPPING Boasting splendid Edwardian architecture, Filey is home to many quirky shops – while away an afternoon browsing and collecting souvenirs.

There are many independent shops for groceries and provisions plus a Co-op and a Tesco supermarket.

Parking and Entrance There is private drive parking directly in front of the property with parking for 3 vehicles / drive is wide and allows easy access from vehicles

On the side drive there are 2 entrances to the property- at the front into the porch and at the rear into the kitchen which is accessible through a latched driveway gate

The rear door is 680mm wide and is accessed by 2 steps - there are grab handles for the rear door (which is the initial access door) the rear steps are 350mm high The front door is 760mm wide and accessed by 2 steps - the steps are 400mm high

On entrance the bungalow is all one level. The kitchen is 2.55m x 2.66m with a wide opening into the lounge 3.1m x 4.4m - a door 760mm wide leads into a small porch and the front entrance door.

The hallway is accessed by a door from the lounge 760mm wide. This hallway 760mm wide leads into the bedrooms, shower room and conservatory.

The main bedroom 3.3m x 3.3m is accessed by a door 760mm wide and has a low king sized bed with access to all sides.

Bedroom 2 2.4m x 3.1 is accessed by a door 760mm wide. There are 2 fixed single beds one is 6 ft long and one is 6 ft 3 long. The width between the beds is 600mm. This room has remote controlled lighting - the control can be found to the right of the door

The shower room 2.6m x 1m is accessed by a opening outwards door 690mm wide and has a 1000mm wide shower cubicle with over head and flexible head shower options. The shower has a step into it 20cm high

The conservatory/dinning area 3.1m x 3.4m is accessed by a door 700 wide.

PLEASE NOTE - from the hallway into the conservatory there is a 30mm drop/ step into the room

The conservatory has French doors 1055mm wide that open outward onto the rear patio which slopes downwards from the doors. The grass area is flat. By the rear drain there is a channel to allow for rainwater flow. Caution is required as this could be a trip hazard.
