About

Layout

Situated just a 2 minute walk to many shops, restaurants and pubs, and a 5 minute walk to the beach, lies The Annex, Rose Cottage, a wonderful base for a family getaway. Settled on the North Yorkshire Coast, this homely abode can welcome four guests, and is an excellent choice for enjoying all that Filey has to offer. Set in a reverse level layout, the open-plan living space is on the first floor, and offers a charming spot to ease into the evening. Velux windows fill the room with natural light, exposed beams offer a sense of character and the wall-mounted electric flame effect fire produces a gentle warmth, allowing you to relax after an action-packed day. When you’re not dining at a fine local restaurant, the kitchen has all the necessities for home-cooking, whether you fancy a light afternoon snack or hearty breakfast. Choose to settle down for the night in one of the two bedrooms, comprised of a king-size and a twin, served by a contemporary shower room. During the warmer months, be sure to visit Filey Beach, with rock pools to explore and soft sands for sunbathing, along with ice cream shops and cafés for a lovely spot for lunch. Once you’ve enjoyed some time on the beach, then you can follow it up with a trip to the much-loved Cobble Landing with its picturesque collection of boats, kiosks and amusements. The attractions of Scarborough can be found to the north, whilst to the south offers the lighthouse and Flamborough Head or the RSPB Reserve at Bempton Cliffs where there is some of the best bird-watching in England, or take in the attractions at Bridlingotn, Hornsea and Hull. The Annex, Rose Cottage promises a splendid break to North Yorkshire, whatever time of year.
