“Lovely little flat completely spoiled by lack of general cleanliness, place covered in cat hair which I'm allergic to.”

Crockery was dirty and incomplete. Broken knives, only 1 cereal bowl. Only cottage I've stayed in that didn't provide basics like cleaning products and kitchen towels nor adequate bath towels, not even a welcome pack. Mattress and bedding had seen better days, all stained. Pretty disappointing on the whole. Only positive is that it was central.

We are very disappointed to hear that you felt the Mallard wasn’t up to your standard. We try very hard to keep it nice for guests. I am sorry you felt you saw cat hairs but only dogs are allowed in the apartment so this must have been a stray dog hair. I’m sorry you had difficulty in finding the cereal bowls, but we do in fact provide three There is also one pasta bowl, which I think you must’ve mistaken for a cereal bowl. We do provide tea towels and washing up liquid. I’m sorry that you didn’t find enough towels but we do provide two large bath towels which are left on the bed plus a towel in each bathroom. Thank you for taking the trouble to write a review . Suzie Property Owner

About the location

FLAMBOROUGH

Bridlington 4 miles; Filey 7 miles; Scarborough 18 miles.

The pretty village of Flamborough occupies a superb setting, perched on a picturesque peninsula on the East Coast of Yorkshire, 4 miles from Bridlington. Housing traditional fishermen's cottages and a small selection of welcoming pubs and restaurants, Flamborough also has much to offer the rambler, historian and birdwatcher. There are spectacular cliffs, which form an eight mile stretch of Heritage coastline, and at Flamborough Head, stand two historic lighthouses, one of which is the oldest one in Britain, built in 1674. To the north of the village, the magnificent 400 feet high cliffs are home to one of the largest colonies of nesting sea birds in England. Discover the puffins at Bempton, follow the fascinating natural trails at South Landing and the wooded ravine at Danes Dyke, or explore the smugglers’ caves at North Landing. Enjoy a spot of fishing or a boat trip to explore the sea caves. Flamborough Head is a wonderful place for anyone who enjoys beautiful coastal scenery and bracing sea air.
