“There were areas of improvement with cleaning, not hoovered under sofas, cobwebs and some baking trays dirty.”

Not enough cleaning product around and the pantry needs cleaning out of all junk in there. For 10 people the fridge freezer wS quite small, particularly the fridge. Not having an outdoor space was a downfall as we had a couple of decent days where it would have been lovely to sit outside with a drink. Despite all this the house is lovely and comfy and an absolutely beautiful location. The beds were a bit soft and the pillows were too soft aswell, so some upgrades would improve the overall ...

Not having an outdoor space was a downfall as we had a couple of decent days where it would have been lovely to sit outside with a drink. Despite all this the house is lovely and comfy and an absolutely beautiful location. The beds were a bit soft and the pillows were too soft aswell, so some upgrades would improve the overall experience, perhaps a nest of tables to put drinks on in the lounge aswell. For the location and standard of accommodation the price was very reasonable for the time of year. If I had to pay more I'd be disappointed due to the things mentioned. I woukd stay in this house again at similar price without hesitation.

About the location

SANDSEND

Whitby 2.5 miles.

Lying on Yorkshire's spectacular Heritage Coastline, Sandsend is the ideal place for a family holiday with its award winning, wide sweeping beaches, rock pools and dramatic cliffs. Indeed this part of the coastline is known locally as the Dinosaur Coast because of the many fossils found here. Children will enjoy damming the little beck where it crosses the beach to form a freshwater lagoon - great (and safe) for paddling and boating! For the more energetic the village sits on the lovely long distance Cleveland Way Trail, which offers great off-road cycling along the disused coastal railway as well as breathtaking clifftop walks. The National Trust now own the nearby headland, Sandsend Ness, where there is a delightful nature trail in the old quarry pits. A special place offering something for everyone!

Free Wi-Fi included.
Cot and high chair are available on request.
Well-behaved pets welcome at a cost of £30.00 per pet per stay.
There is private parking for one vehicle with ample on-street parking nearby plus a Pay and Display car park a five minute walk away.
