A very pretty one-bedroom cottage close to the town centre, harbour and beach - the ideal romantic retreat! A cute cottage and an idyllic setting for a romantic retreat, Seashell Cottage is located in a secluded courtyard setting yet in a central location, just a short stroll to the shops, restaurants, beach and harbour. With chilled prosecco and chocolates on arrival to make it extra-special, enjoy the beach-inspired decor.

Had a lovely stay needs a blind or net on the bedroom window for privacy and unfortunately there were some renovations going on in the corner flat which did break the otherwise quiet environment

Very comfortable and quality furnishings.

Ground Floor

With lovely decor, which is inspired by the sea and beach in a soft pallete of creams, duck egg blues and soft greens, the ground floor is an open-plan living area which includes a comfortable sofa, TV with Freeview, a dining area to enjoy meals together and a kitchen with electric cooker and hob, microwave and fridge.

First Floor

The charming bedroom is on the first floor and overlooks the courtyard; it has a comfortable kingsize bed with crisp white bed linens and two built-in wardrobes with hanging space and shelves.

Second Floor

From the bedroom, stairs lead to a superb, good-size bathrom - we love the driftwod, shell and beach-inspired accessories! The bathroom has a bath with shower over, WC and double width wash basin with waterfall tap.
Outside the cottage is a pretty area with a bench and plants to sit and enjoy your morning cuppa or drinks in the evening.

This delightful Whitby cottage is located in the heart of the fashionable West Cliff area of Whitby, close to the town centre. Seashell Cottage is easily accessible by car, train or on foot.

The accommodation did smell of dogs upon arrival

Slightly overpriced for the accommodation.

Lovely small cottage but was advertised with private courtyard for our small dog. The courtyard was not private but shared with 4/5 other neighbours who we found quite rude during the stay and we felt quite unwelcome. We got the impression that neighbours were not happy with the cottage being available for short rentals and they did not want people coming and going. The bathroom was also freezing and didn't warm up when the heating was put on. We were also told we would be greeted with a bottle of bubbly and chocolates - a nice touch to look forward to but these were not there on arrival. A lovely location but very overpriced.

The accommodation did smell of dogs upon arrival. Slightly overpriced for the accommodation.
Mr Andrew
Beautiful cottage by the harbour in Whitby, we were welcomed with a hamper of cava and chocolates. The cottage was clean and cosy and there was everything that we needed, after the first night it felt like home. It was easy to book online, good value for money and we were well informed about directions and parking etc. We would highly recommend our stay at sea shell cottage and there is nothing we would change, amazing place!

Mrs Ward
A very tidy, well-presented cottage in a great location. Quiet but close to the main streets, shops, etc. Welcome pack was a nice touch! Would easily use this cottage again - perfect for our dog, close to the beach.
West Party
This cottage has everything you need to enjoy a holiday break in Whitby. We have never been to Whitby before, tending to holiday in Norfolk. We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay, expecially the dramatic beach/coastal area which we visited every day searching for fossils and other beach treasures. We walked to Sandsend and Robin Hood's Bay too but actually preferred Whitby!
