March Apartment is a three bedroom, first floor apartment that has been newly refurbished and decorated by the owners boasting quality furnishings and providing spacious comfortable accommodation, ideal for families or couples.

With the advantage of private parking, there is a lift to the apartment; from the main hallway, there is an open plan sitting room with a bay window allow for lots of light, which has comfortable seating sofas and a Smart TV with basic Sky package and you can also access your Netflix account. The dining area, with a table and chairs for six, is ideal for enjoying meals together.

The smart kitchen is well-equipped with an electric oven and hob, dishwasher, tall fridge/freezer, washing machine, dryer, microwave and quality kettle, toaster and coffee maker.

The master bedroom has a king size bed, large built-in wardrobes with plenty of hanging space, dressing table and an en-suite shower room with wash basin and WC.

A second twin bedroom has full size single beds, a wardrobe and a long chest of drawers. The third bedroom is a bunk room with adult-size bunk beds and wardrobe. The house bathroom has a bath with shower over, WC and hand wash basin. There is a cot and high chair available.

To the rear of the property is a dedicated parking space, also to the front there are other visitor parking spaces available on a first-come, first served basis.

Located on the East side of Whitby in the Whitehall Landing development March Apartment is c. 10 minutes' walk along the harbour to the famous 199 Steps that lead to the Abbey grounds. On your way you’ll pass cafes, Captain Cook’s Memorial Museum and shops selling Whitby Jet. The historic swing bridge lets you cross to the Marina, supermarket, train Station and a number of outstanding restaurants, wine bars and pubs.

Fantastic apartment but would benefit from extra crockery, casserole dish for oven and a clothes -horse. A second set of keys would be useful too. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the apartment and would definitely book the same again.

We had a small issue with how clean the apartment was but I contacted the ladies at the local office and they got it sorted straight away. This is the 2nd time at March Apartment it’s perfectly situated a short walk and you’re in the old town. You have your own parking spot and the apartment has everything you need, a well equipped kitchen, 2 bathrooms and enough space to house 6. I would highly recommend the apartment and will visit again

There was no welcome pack in the apartment. Also no cleaning equipment, ie. dish washer tablets, kitchen surface spray. No toilet cleaning products. It would be much more convenient to have had a key safe at the property. We parked and walked to the office to collect the key. It would have added stress after a long journey to have to drive into the small streets and collect the keys. It is obvious that many other apartments in the block have key safes in the waste disposal room. This would have made things much easier. Regardless of the above comments, the office staff were pleasant and helpful and the apartment itself was very clean and comfortable. The parking space was invaluable and obviously a rarity in Whitby. The location was excellent with an easy walk to numerous restaurants and all the attractions of Whitby.

The double mattress needs replacing, it was very uncomfortable.

The tumble dryer needs looking at. It would go for so long then beep the filter needs cleaning even though we had just cleaned it. There was no TV in master bedroom as described. Also no welcome pack like last time. We left a potato masher there as there didn't seem to be one. Apart from that it was a lovely holiday apartment and would recommend to friends and family.

The apartment should have had a key box outside so that we didn’t need to go to the office to pick up and deposit keys. Never been on a holiday let before when you had to do that !!

Yes most definitely..... We arrived at Whitby pretty frazzled after a four hour journey and an hour in a traffic jam in Pickering. The last thing I wanted when I collected the key from Yorkshire Coastal Cottages was to be ‘greeted’ by a woman who came bustling out of the shop, full of her own importance with a folder under her arm, who said ‘help yourself to the key, the office is closed and I can’t stop I’ve got an appointment’. As it happens, I was able to get on my knees to access the key safe which was on the door at floor level but I can’t help but think that others may not be physically able. This woman gave a very poor impression of your company, and it is v unlikely that we will use Sykes again after this hostile experience. Thankfully, her colleague inside the said ‘closed’ office came out and kindly explained the best route to our apartment which given the fact that the bridge was closed was helpful.

Good holiday - lovely places to go. Enjoyed train trip to Pickering. Good places to eat in evening; Trenchers, Magpie and Star Inn the Harbour.
Lovely, well equipped apartment. The dedicated parking space is a real bonus. Nice walk into the town centre when the weather is good.
