A newly refurbished two bedroom cottage, with fabulous décor, ideal for families or couples, with private garage parking and a superb town centre location. With a fantastic location near the harbour and the advantage of private parking, this beautifully renovated and furnished cottage is a superb choice for a wonderful holiday. With really lovely decor this superb and stylish cottage is arranged over three floors.

Lovely cottage and perfect location

Our dogs were made to feel very welcome. The only downside was there was no garden for the dogs which I hadn’t realised when making the booking. I would have no hesitation however returning to this cottage if I didn’t have dogs.



Ground Floor
On the ground floor is an entrance porch, with a utility room and laundry facilities off the garage and is a good size - probably the first stop when you come off the beach! Also on the ground floor is a cloakroom and WC.
First Floor
On the first floor is a wonderful, open plan and good-size living area with TV/DVD and comfortable seating, ideal to sit and relax after a day at the coast. There is a dining area, perfect to enjoy meals together, either breakfast whilst planning what to do, or dinner, to sit and discuss the day's adventures. The immaculate kitchen has an electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer and dishwasher. The smart house bathroom has a bath, a large, separate walk-in shower, WC and hand wash basin.
Second Floor
On the top floor are two lovely bedrooms; the master bedroom has a king size bed, TV plus a charming dressing room. The twin bedroom has two full size single beds plus a TV.




This delightful Whitby cottage is within a short walking distance of Whitby town centre and is located in a quiet residential area with the advantage of garage parking with an electric up and over door. Springhill Cottage is easily accessible by car, train or on foot.

The front door to Springhill Cottage is in a small entrance porch which has a 14cm step. The door is 72cm wide, has a lever handle at 115cm and an 8cm threshold step. The door opens into a ground floor hallway with a tiled floor. There is a connecting door through to the garage, which is 72cm and has a key pad door lock/handle. The controls for the electric garage door are on the left as you enter the garage. The garage door measures 2.3M wide and is 1.9M tall. The garage houses the wheelie bins for the property. To the rear of the garage are doors that lead through to a utility and cloaks. The utility door is 70cm wide and has a lever handle at 1M. The utility has laminate flooring and contains a number of floor units, with a sink and washing machine. The door to the cloaks is 64cm wide, has a lever handle and a 7cm step up into the room. The room has laminate flooring and contains a WC and basin.

Stairs lead from the ground floor hallway. There are 14 steps at 20cm each and the stairs are 90cm wide. At the top of the stairs is the main entrance door, which has a key code pad and lock. The door is 70cm wide and leads to the 1st floor hallway.

The hallway is carpeted and contains an under stairs storage cupboard. Doors lead to the bathroom and kitchen/lounge. The door to the kitchen/lounge is 72cm wide and has a lever handle at 90cm. The room has solid oak flooring and contains a kitchen, dining and lounge area. The lounge area has 2 two seat sofas, side tables and a TV unit. The dining area contains a table with a height of 75cm and 4 chairs and a side unit. The kitchen has a number of floor and wall units. The laminate worktop height is 91cm. The built in appliances include an electric oven, hob and extractor, a dishwasher and a tall fridge/ freezer with full height handles. The bathroom door is 67 cm wide and has a lever handle at 90cm. The room is fully tiled. The room contains a WC, a basin, a bath and a separate walk in shower.

Stairs lead from the 1st floor hallway to the 2nd floor bedrooms. There are 13 steps at 20cm each. The stairs are 90cm wide and there is a handrail on the left at 85cm.

Both bedrooms are in the roof space and contain original beams and sloping ceilings. The master bedroom has a door that is 74cm wide and a lever handle at 88cm. The room is carpeted and contains a double bed with a mattress height of 60cm. The spaces around the bed are 50cm to the right, 80cm to the left and 80cm at the bottom. The room also contains 2 bedside tables, a single chair and 2 built in under the eaves clothes storage areas. A pair of double doors leads to a dressing area. The doors has a clear width of 90cm and lever handles at around 90cm. The dressing area also contains a dressing table. The twin room door is 66cm wide and has a lever handle at 85cm. The 2 single beds have mattress heights of 60cm. The space at the side of the beds is 1M. The room is carpeted and also contains a side unit and 2 built in under eaves clothes storage areas.

The cottage is ideally situated and was so clean and well equipped. Having a garage to park the car made all the difference We noticed in the visitor book that people were getting blocked in the garage as cars were parking opposite the garage. We found if you reversed into the garage then it was easy to get out again, even if there were cars parked outside (the cars were only blocking part of the garage).
