“We realised the positioning was very close to the bus station, but did not appreciate its impact.”

It's virtually just over the road. The parked buses invariably left their engines running, so noise an issue, certainly could not have a open window and a conversation at the same time, I expect in summer this issue would be worse. To move around in the property you had to negotiate 2.5 sets of full stairs, this would be an issue for a lot of people. For people who wish to quickly explore all that Whitby has to offer, including the beach and a wide variety of shops, bars, and restaurants, this pet-friendly home is in a convenient location.

When you arrive, head up the lower flight of stairs to the kitchen/diner, which is a well-equipped room with everything the group's chef needs to whip up delectable treats.

After dinner, head up a set of stairs to the sitting room, which has views of the old train station, and unwind on the plush furniture while watching TV.

The apartment's fitted bathroom is on the second floor and includes a WC, a bath, and a separate walk-in shower.

Retire to the bathroom after a long day of touring and take a lengthy shower or soak in the tub while holding a glass of wine and gazing up at the stars through the Velux window (and if you look closely, you can see the Abbey).

Choose from one of the two attractive bedrooms, which include a king and a twin room.

Both rooms have crisp white linens and a wall-mounted TV.

The apartment is in a great position, with a tonne of restaurants and stores just outside your door, including The Station Inn, a welcoming pub where you can enjoy a filling lunch before exploring everything that the town has to offer.

These include visiting the Whitby Museum, which is located in Pannett Park, or climbing the famed 199 Steps to see Whitby Abbey.

Don't forget to also check out the town's lovely beach!

Visit Robin Hood's Bay for a tranquil adventure where you may taste a variety of tea shops and bistros, as well as a tiny beach and the fascinating Robin Hood's Bay Museum.
