Courtyard Cottage can be booked by a party staying at The Manor for additional guests and enjoys all the facilities of the main house, including the fabulous large indoor heated swimming pool.

Ideally situated for touring the coastline and the moors

It makes Scarborough an ideal base for a fun-filled break.



Ground floor

The cosy sitting room has a log burner for the colder evenings, flat screen TV, and a DVD/Blu-Ray player. A large modern kitchen/diner includes electric oven/hob, dishwasher, fridge, microwave, Nespresso coffee machine and a dining table to seat six people in comfort.

In addition there is a downstairs WC with wash basin and a boot room/utility with washer, dryer and a fridge freezer.

On the ground floor there are two bathrooms, one with a large shower cubicle and free-standing bath, WC and hand wash basin, and a second with a large shower cubicle, WC and hand wash basin.

First Floor

Upstairs there are three bedrooms – one superking, which can be made into two full size 3′ single beds, a king-size bedroom and a double bedroom. There is also a single bedroom downstairs should a guest have mobility problems with the stairs.


Outside – parking for two cars, access to the stunning formal gardens, tennis courts, croquet lawn, 5-hole golf course, etc.



Courtyard Cottage is located on the Manor Estate, which enjoys 35 acres of glorious private grounds, including beautiful formal gardens with waterfalls, parkland and woodland just 3 miles from Scarborough and 20 miles from Whitby.

Scarborough to Whitby Rail Trail

This former railway line which closed in 1923 is now open to walkers and cyclists. Known as the ‘Cinder Track’, it takes you through the North Yorks Moors National Park with options to take several detours to visit places such as Cloughton Wyke, the Cleveland Way and Stoupe Beck Sands.

Scarborough Castle

The 12th century castle conceals over 2,500 years of turbulent history and is well worth a visit when in Scarborough. Specially constructed viewing platforms offers visitors wonderful views of the coastline and town.
