I really don’t know where to start. This property is quite simply awful. It could be lovely but there are so many maintenance issues that need attention. It was also dirty. The showers are dirty with mould on the tiles and grout, the toilet seats are loose, one of the toilets leaks onto the bathroom floor. There is rain water coming into the upstairs bedroom and bathroom due to an issue with the roof. All of this is deemed not to be a problem by the owner. We were booked to stay for a week at a cost of over £3500 but the property was so grim that we left after 3 nights. The location is perfect and with some serious maintenance and refurbishment it could be great.

It is unfortunate that you did not take advantage of our 24 hour emergency service. Due to the nature of your suggested issues, we would have had someone attend the property immediately to address them.
As soon as we were made aware, after the bank holiday weekend when you had text to say there was a leak in one of the bedrooms. We sent the maintenance team round to investigate, and we called you to ask what else had happened. This is when you said there was loose toilet seats, the bookcase was wobbly and you wanted compensation. Upon arrival the team found no sign of damp and no water stains from rain coming in the bedroom and considering this was probably the wettest bank holiday of the year so far.... you’d expect to see something. They sent me evidence of no intake of water, however did say 1 toilet seat was loose and the bookcase was wobbly as you mentioned so thank you for bringing this to our attention so we can get them both tightened.
Having left the property early due these suggested issues, you did manage to stay the whole of the bank holiday weekend... when we asked for evidence of all the issues you had endeavoured, you were unable to produce any photographs or video’s to show us. We would expect that you would of had an abundance of images to prove that you simply couldn’t stay a moment longer. As mentioned above the maintenance team attended and could not locate most of the issues you have mentioned. All feedback is welcomed as it gives us chance to continue to improve our properties, but we do feel you have been unduly unfair considering the next guest staying after you gave us a very positive review.
