“This property is in need of some TLC.”

The location is perfect, and the beds are comfy but that's where the good points end. Broken door handles, broken bannister which was dangerous. Quite a quirky house and uneven floors which adds to the character but falling apart and the windows are useless as you hear ever small sound outside. Very unclean, we had to ask for the cleaners to come around, table filthy and furniture had not been dusted for a long time. Very disappointing

Luxury and period features abound, with a decorative original fireplace, two sash windows and stylish wooden floor. There are two twin bedrooms with full size 3′ beds.

The rooms are tastefully decorated to create a tranquil feel, with smart roman blinds and cosy carpets. The house shower room has a corner shower, basin and WC. Whitby’s iconic Abbey and St Mary’s Church are in the immediate vicinity.

Meander over the swing bridge into the harbour and take a coastal cruise to see Whitby a different way.

The pretty fishing villages of Staithes and Robin Hood’s Bay are within easy reach.

A steam train ride from Whitby to Grosmont across the stunning North York Moors is a must.
