Church View

The cottage itself offered plenty of space and had some lovely additional touches, including milk, water, chocolates and snacks, which were very much appreciated but we were immediately told the dishwasher was broken.

Unfortunately, I was only able to stay for one of the three nights booked due to the large number of spiders and cobwebs throughout the property. I have a severe phobia of spiders, and the extent of the issue made it extremely difficult for me to feel comfortable and ultimately meant that I had to leave early. I appreciate that spiders can be difficult to avoid in a rural holiday cottage, but for me, the amount present had a significant impact on my stay. It was a shame, as the accommodation itself had a lot of positives and could have been an enjoyable stay under different circumstances. The cottage was in need of a significant deep clean, the density and number of cobwebs highlighted that this has not been done for a long time and is well overdue.

Lovely stay at church view, lil and bob were friendly nothing too much trouble.

When we arrived told dishwasher was broken no fan, no hairdryer.

Looked clean but on closer examination very dirty windows in and out (cobwebs in bathroom)crumbs in cutlery drawer. The shag pile carpet in bedroom smelt of dogs also rug in lounge. The settee in lounge was a put up bed, double bed was so uncomfortable had to sleep on bottom bunk bed in kids room. Out side seats were covered in bird poo also numerous thorns and bramble weeds coming through fencing. Plus noisy dog barking even when we spoke in the enclosed garden. It needs a good inspection by your people when visitors are paying good money.

Wonderfull accomadation, peaceful sight, lovely little village only 3 miles from shops and beach, Bill and Lil very welcoming thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Ideally located for visiting east coast and surrounding towns.

Fantastic place to stay , We were greeted warmly by Bob and Lil who were always on hand to assist with any needs during our stay.

The property was very clean and tidy and had all the facilities that we needed. It would be suitable for families and couples of all ages in an ideal location close to Hornsea and skirlington . No wonder the property is booked the year round. Thanks Bob and Lil.

Very pleasant, comfortable self catering cottage on a small CCC certificated site.

Nothing to fault it really. Car parking outside the door. Excellent weicome pack to keep you going to the next day. Very convenient for the English Coastal Path in East Yorkshire: buses north (to Bridlington) and south (to Hornsea and from there on to Withernsea) stop in the village. Very quiet, but there was no one on the site in early March. Take care of very hot water supply, surprisingly so for all electric property. Owners very helpful but not intrusive (they live in bungalow next door).

A very clean and comfortable bungalow in a very peaceful spot.

The welcome pack provided all that was needed for the first day and was mush appreciated. Would stay again if in the area.

When we arrived there was biscuits .

eggs butter .and milk . Church View was absolutely lovely.the owners couldn't do enough for you .very helpful and friendly.it was really peaceful and quiet lovely to hear an owl at night .would highly recommend this place .will definitely be going back sometime.

Comfortable, homely bungalow. Well equipped. Very peaceful surroundings. Close to Hornsea and the beach. The welcome items were much appreciated. Highly recommend a holiday here.

Lovely “welcome pack”. The bungalow is well equipped and comfortable. Despite being a holiday let next to a small caravan site, lovely and quiet, only disturbed by bird calls!! Would highly recommend. Brian & Sylvia

Church View cottage is an absolute gem.

Clean, well appointed, comfortable. The owners provided the most amazing welcome pack for which we were most grateful Our stay was most enjoyable and should we venture up to Yorkshire in the future, we would most definitely consider staying here again.

Churchview was lovely and clean on arrival.

The welcome pack was very kind with a lot of essential items. We had a good stay and went to some of the places recommended on the Sykes app which we enjoyed. Its a shame that the pub is closed down as it was one of the things that tempted us to book. Could we suggest a proper draining rack to make washing up easier while the dishwasher is out of action. Beautiful quiet place ,nice walks for our dog.

Only thing I’d have to say is to have a vacuum at the property. Hopefully we can get booked for next year.

Our second visit to Church view cottage, it’s in a lovely quiet village near to Hornsea and Bridlington.

The cottage is well equipped for your needs. Lovely welcome pack when you arrive. Bob and Lil are the most loveliest people you could meet, they leave you alone to get on with your holiday. But always there if you needed anything, we will definitely be going back.

Location excellent, good for dogs with a secure garden for them to play in. Kettle may need to be replaced soon very long boil. Would stay there again very friendly owners, will tell my friends.

The owners over compensated with there luxury welcome pack it was amazing !

In the listing it said there was radio and DVD player but there wasn’t so listing should be updated ! Also could benefit from an ironing board + iron . The bungalow was clean but could do with a deep clean!! But overall we had a lovely comfortable and very warm new year week at church view

Perfect location and accommodation for us

They are charming owners.

We had a warm greeting on arrival; We were shown around the property. Tea, coffee, butter, and milk were in the fridge, along with sweets, minced pies, and cleaning products. It was a great location.

This is a lovely, comfortable, clean and very conveniently situated holiday let.

Set in a pretty and quiet village it's only 2 miles from Hornsea with its shops, cafes and many other facilities. The private lawned garden is secure and just perfect for our dog. The owners provide a warm, relaxing home-from-home experience with modern decor and quality furnishings, towels and bedding. We loved it and hope to return for future holidays. Thanks to Bob and Lil, the owners, for a friendly, personal welcome and a generous Welcome Pack.

Very Nice Owners, Cottage very clean, Seating not comfy, Be very aware of dogs went to ring the bell for attention, one dog very aggressive, tried to get over the fence, had to go home early for personal reasons

A modern well equiped cottage , ideally situated to ' chill ' or explore the east coastal resorts .

Good location, rural and quiet, not far from Hornsea beach, the hosts are lovely.

I think the hot water needs to be turned down a bit, it does get exceedingly hot very quickly.

We have had the loveliest most relaxing week at church view ,we would highly recommend it,it was spotlessly clean and the welcome pack was lovely very thoughtful and very much appreciated.

Bob and Lil were lovely very friendly and nothing is too much trouble for them,we will most definitely be going back.Anyone wanting a quiet relaxing break will definitely love this cottage,it is in a lovely quiet village with a pub ten minutes walk down the lane,that serves lovely food ,everything you could want . We have stayed in quite a few holiday lets/cottages and this is by far the nicest we give the whole experience 10 out of 10 .

This was a lovely little cottage in a very pretty little village.

The owners were there to greet us on arrival and very friendly. The enclosed back garden was perfect for our dog and a nice little sun trap with seating area. The welcome packages were a great touch and my son was very pleased with the sweet treats. Very well equipped with most things that we required. Very strong WIFI signal which is a must for us with teenagers. Atwick is a great base for exploring the coast and has a lovely little pub that serves great food. Mr Moo's Ice cream farm nearby was a big hit with my son. The dishwasher wasn't working in the cottage which would of been a problem if we were there longer. Also the master bed wasn't very comfortable, It was quite rocky so we could feel every movement every time either of us moved. Although we are quite spoilt with a very good bed at home. Over all this was a lovely place for a short break and will recommend it to others.

The private enclosed outside space was great for the dog and owners alike. Located in a pretty village with the adjoining small camp site gave it a real holiday feeling. Our hosts Bob and Lil made us feel most welcome, well done to them for providing a super holiday.

The holiday let was fabulous nice clean and bright , the owners Bob,Lil were very helpful and attentive to our needs, lots of personal touches ie bread ,milk eggs butter .

Beautiful bungalow spotless and so peaceful with lovely private enclosed garden for dogs. Loved that they left us milk bread jam eggs and some goodies what a lovely thought. We’ll definitely be back and recommend this property to anyone it’s pristine and a credit to Bob and Lil. Don’t worry about the campsite it’s a small one and it no noise at all from it. Great place and not far to go to Hornsea and Bridlington and can even have Whiteheads fish and chips Delivered here too. The property was clean and very comfortable in a quiet location but easy to access local amenities.

Wonderful little bungalow, completely dog proof, in a quiet, peaceful location.

Some beautiful places to visit nearby and up and down the coast. Bob & Lil were the perfect hosts and went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. Would recommend, Sam, Pam & Socks the lurcher.
