Description

Resting at the heart of the beautiful seaside village of Staithes on the North Yorkshire Coast is Bethel Chapel.

This unique and bright chapel conversion sleeps up to eight guests in four bedrooms, making it the perfect location for friends or the whole family to getaway to the coast.

Bethel Chapel is set in the centre of Staithes which is handy after a day exploring the ginnels and cobbled streets the village has to offer.

Enter into your home-away-from-home where a spacious and airy open-plan living space welcomes you; settle on the sofa as the woodburning stove warms the room, which is wonderful after a day spent in the brisk sea air.

Relax here or travel to the first floor sitting area which boasts a large TV, ideal for family film nights or catching up on your favourite box sets.

From this spot you can marvel over the railing as the designated chef of the group cooks up a storm in the fully-equipped kitchen which you can later enjoy together as a group or family at the large dining table.

Wander around the galleried area taking the property’s collection of beautiful paintings and sculptures many by local artists.

As the evening draws to a close, pick out your bedroom from either the two ground-floor doubles or the two first floor double rooms, all are furnished with plenty of storage to house your belongings but the latter have en-suite facilities that are great for washing away the day’s adventures.

Recharge your batteries in any of these rooms ready for another day of exploration in North Yorkshire.

Bethel Chapel is set in Staithes which is the perfect place to relax and enjoy the stunning views.

It is also home to the Captain Cook and Staithes Heritage Centre, where you can learn about the history of the area.

There are plenty of restaurants and bars to walk to on the nights you don’t fancy cooking, including the Cod and Lobster and Restaurant Number 20, and if you fancy a coffee or cake, the Barn Owl Cafe is the perfect spot.

This unique property is located just a stone’s throw away from Whitby, a historic fishing town located on the North East coast of England.

It is home to the iconic Whitby Abbey and 199 Steps, as well as the Whalebone Arch and Whitby Museum.

Whitby is also well known for its restaurants and bars, including Trenchers, The Fisherman's Wife Whitby, and Quayside, making it the perfect spot for a day out.

Or venture slightly further to the city of Middlesbrough and enjoy a picnic in its famous Albert Park.

Bethel Chapel is ideally situated for a memorable trip to the Staithes on the North Yorkshire Coast.

This is a spectacular holiday home.

Wonderful base for a birthday celebration and from which to explore the Yorkshire coast. Everything that could possibly be needed or wanted was there - from games and a library to great array of good pans and an ice-dispensing fridge. The dog even had dog bowls waiting for him. Owners and property managers both checked in to make sure we had everything we needed. We did. A memorable holiday of which Bethel, with its wonderful gallery of art, will be a major part.

Amazing accommodation; photos don’t do it justice.

A very relaxed place to stay, lovely light, varying through the day. Great artwork everywhere. Flexible space and wonderful place for family or friends getting together.

A lovely, quirky property.

We all enjoyed our stay, the proximity to the village centre and beach was perfect, the brilliant weather of course helped. We had everything we needed for the time we spent there. I feel it would have been helpful when mentioning the restricted parking to say that any other cars within the party, of which there are likely to be more than one, given the property size, would have to pay £10 a day for parking in the council run car park, Our party therefore paid an extra £100 on top of the holiday.
