    “The cottage was clean and the bed was very comfortable.”

    There were 2 areas that were lacking though, the kitchen could have done with a tray and some small bowls or ramekins for nibbles, so that we could carry drinks etc outside to the seating area. Usually there is a folder with details of the nearest A&E, Doctors and vets, plus details of pubs etc instructions for appliances. This was lacking, some instructions on recycling would also have been useful.

An attractive, stone-built, semi-detached barn conversion, situated in the hamlet of High Normanby, 2 miles from the old fishing village of Robin Hood's Bay.

This single-storey cottage has been sympathetically restored and renovated, providing a wonderful mix of character charm and modern amenities, and being tastefully furnished and decorated, this welcoming cottage makes a wonderfully cosy, romantic retreat.

Outside, a raised, decked area is the ideal spot to sit and enjoy a drink and relax, while enjoying views over the countryside towards Whitby.

From here, explore the many public footpaths in the area, including the famous Coast to Coast trail, and delight in the treasures of Robin Hood's Bay with its smuggling history, quaint tumbling cottages and traditional tea rooms.

A well situated cottage, perfect for discovering the North York Moors and coastal resorts.
