Wasn't as welcoming as other cottage owners we have stayed with, just shown the note to say strip bed and leave in shower and then told this is your key then the owner left.

Wasn't made aware that there was a touring caravan on site aswell no mention of it on the web page, also single road to the farm off a171 with plenty of passing places but twice in the week we had actually stopped to let on coming vehicles passed, the pacing pullins the local people obviously don't use as one driver got very abusive and followed us back to the cottage and was even more abusive. The owner came around the corner but never came to see us and ask if we was ok. Got told yet another none local in our area. The worst holiday with skyes cottages we have had and we've used skyes for along time. There are no views of the abbey from the cottage either as all the cottages are behind the farm house and caravan field. We will not be going back.

We’ve returned again so, I think this says enough.

The barn cottage is so cosy, clean and has everything you need, the bed is so comfortable as well. The location is great for visiting places and the little hidden gems along the way. Have a dog? Well, there is a little field for them to do their business on and have a stretch. Turn left out the drive and you can follow the road to a farmers lane for a nice little walk. In a morning you may catch the deer roaming about, like I did. The view from the accommodation is lovely. The cottage is next to a farm which has cows and sheep, you hear the odd noise now and again if you’re sat on the patio area but, otherwise silence. It is the countryside so, you can’t expect any other really. The owners Kaye and Alex are great people to talk to and very welcoming. The guest book at the cottage has positive reviews so, what are you waiting for get booking, you won’t regret it!
