What guests are saying
Lovely Property in a quiet location.
Easy to visit Whitby, Scarborough, Robin Hoods Bay etc.
A stunner of a cottage.
Plenty of space and plenty of Yorkshire character. Very close to Whitby, the local train station and bus stops. There is a lovely coffee shop within a 5 minute walk just over the river which is very handy. We had an issue with the dishwasher and the owners arranged to have it replaced without delay. With the hot weather the property would really benefit from some fans in all of the room and summer duvets for the bed rooms.. We had no fans and very thick winter duvets. Other guests have commented on this in the guest book. This would be a very small investment to make and this is why I slightly marked the property down on comfort. We will definitely come back, but hopefully there will be some fans.
We had a lovely stay at Hazeldene.
The facilities at the house were excellent for two families with small children. The house is less than a minute’s walk from Sleights train station which made it the perfect location to easily get into Whitby without having to worry about parking. There was the occasional steam train coming past which the children loved. The proximity to the train station did not cause issues with noise which is good, and we quickly got used to the peacocks who lived just over the road! Boggle Hole was our favourite beach to explore during our stay. We would recommend this house to others for a holiday.
