Little Venice

The Kettle needs replacing as it is a dirty brown inside, we had to buy a new kettle.

The stairs and upstairs were loud as in the creaking woke people up. The house was really clean though. We will not be going back there though.

Little Venice was a great place to stay in Whitby.

we will stay here again very close to the centre and great views from the cottage.

We have stayed in this lovely house a number of times.

The first thing we noticed as we opened the front door was how lovely and clean and fresh everything was. The house was immaculate, and we were thrilled to see the new, and very comfortable, sofas. We had some sunshine, so we were able to have a coffee on the patio, a perfect spot. It's such a bonus to have our own parking spaces and a short, and flat, walk into town. Really can't think of a better place to stay in Whitby.

Have visited on previous occasions so knew what to expect, Clean,Quiet,Comfortably and in an ideal location, very nice neighbours either side of property, Good to have private parking.

Little Venice is a great place to stay close to Whitby Town centre .

The property is clean and comfortable with a fantastic view of the river and Whitby. It’s a very short walk into the heart of the town. The property has its own parking bay with garage so enough parking for two cars. I would 100% recommend it

A fantastic place to stay in the centre of Whitby.

The property is in a great position with easy walking in to town. We only used our car if we were visiting other places. It is warm, inviting and immaculately presented. A home from home with everything provided that you could think of needing. Lovely to sit out on the back terrace and watch the river go by. We even saw seals in the river. I would recommend this property to any one and will certainly be going back.

We had a great time at Little Venice, although we have been going to the Whitby area for the past few years this is the first time we stayed in Whitby itself.

The views from the living room and on the patio were amazing. You could spend the day just watching the boats. Also it was only a short walk into Whitby to the shops and harbour. The car parking was an added bonus. It saved us money on car parks and there was no driving round looking for a space. We will definitely be back. Mrs J Harrison

This is a fantastic cottage Little Venice is very well placed for visiting Whitby a 10 minute walk .

A very clean property with great views of boats and the river Esk. the young people enjoyed watching the boats going past and being launched on the opposite side. We have already booked for next year.

We love Little Venice, it’s a beautiful house in an amazing location.

This was our third stay and we hope it won’t be our last. With private parking within walking distance of Whitby and a beautiful terrace to sit and watch the river from, it really has everything we could want.

Beautiful relaxing clean well equipped and quiet cottage in great location.

Loved seeing the boats and the steam train puffing along. Thanks for the crab nets..we had fun with the crabs. Tea and milk was good too. Would definitely recommend to friends and family. Came home a very happy little family. Thankyou so much.

Delightful clean cottage in an unbeatable position 5 min walk to the swing bridge with quality parking (which is difficult in central Whitby!

) Great views over the harbour and everything you could possibly need.

The location is fantastic, right on the harbour and a 10 minute walk to the old town. Being greeted by the ducks on the patio every morning was lovely, this is a fab location and we was a home from home. Thanks

What a gem of a place to stay, set by the river opposite a flotilla of small boats.

About a 10 minute walk from the center of town (harbour). A fish and chip shop just across the road if you don't fancy cooking. On our second day we got to see some of the wildlife that is on the river, King fisher and even a seal. The carpark is in the courtyard and is safe. Across the road adjacent to the entrance is a hill that takes you straight to the abbey, the car park as well as the abbey you will need to pay for. The Question is would I go back, simply yes.

The view from the living room is priceless overlook the river and the neighbours are friendly and helpful. Only a short walk into Whitby and a bonus is having a good private parking space.

Perfectly situated, a much needed parking space, beautiful view and spotlessly clean. It feels like a home from home and we'll soon book again for next year. One plea though, the sofas were uncomfortable last year, but this year they were even worse. It'd be perfect it you could consider replacements. Other than that, we'd score 9.99999 recurring out of ten!

Little Venice was in the perfect location, very clean & I would recommend to anyone.

Good location, loved the fact something was always happening outside (when the working quayside ended, the recreational one took over), loud floorboards, everything you needed except a toilet brush!

Our backs did not like the seating in the lounge (but we are pushing 70!). Would happily stay here again.

Fabulous location with parking, so important in Whitby

The owner always responds quickly to any calls or texts we have stayed here a number of times and would like to thank the cleaner for the hard work in keeping the cottage clean and fresh always inviting when you arrive local residents are friendly and helpful the town and eateries five to ten minutes away on foot the view across the river provides constant interest I can’t imagine staying anywhere else in Whitby and will be booking for next year shortly.

The location is perfect, just far enough away that it's quiet but close enough that everything is walking distance.

The view of the river is wonderful and we were lucky enough to be visited by a seal on the last day who spent several hours gliding around on its back.

Spacious patio with fantastic views over the river to the station and the steam trains! Short walk into Whitby where there are plenty of individual shops, fish and chip shops on every corner! Thanks Helen for the biscuits and milk-we will be back!

The cottage was spot less and in an ideal location.

finding a place with parking in Whitby was a bonus. Looking out of over the Esk and all that was going on added to the enjoyment. One of the best things for me was having a view of the steam railway. We will definitely be returning

Great on site parking enables easy exploring of this part of Yorkshire. lovely position backing right onto the river. Saw some lovely sunsets while enjoying a sundowner.

Little Venice is a perfect property in a stunning location.

The owners have presented a lovely, clean and well equipped property. The patio and full length opening doors on to the harbour make for an outstanding, calming and tranquil view. We highly recommend it! We can’t wait to return.

I have staid in Little Venice and another in the quay before over last 19 years and never get board with the view.

The cottage is very clean and kitchen very well equipped. It is well placed for town and just far enough away to be quiet went wanting to chill.

This cottage was perfect - very clean, ex facilities, lovely view, close to the centre of Whitby.

The patio was frequented each morning by a friendly flock of local turnstones looking for breakfast. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would love to return sometime.

We really enjoyed sitting outside and relaxing in the sun while watching the boats on thie river. Everything in walking distance.

The house was immaculate and very comfy.

A wonderful view from the rear waterside patio over the marina and down into town. The neighbours either side were really nice and friendly also, they even bagged up our washing for us when it rained!

I had a fantastic holiday.

The house was spotless when I arrived and clearly has been very loved. The south facing view outside onto the harbour was the selling point for me renting this property. I'd had a very emotional year and wanted to find a place I could relax peacefully and just process the years events. I definitely found it here. The friends who drove me to Little Venice were equally impressed and as commented on how peaceful it was. I think they would happily consider possibly booking in the future also. Thank you to the owner who was very kind and accommodating and always happy to help. I can't recommend highly enough I will be booking again in the future.

Little Venice is in a great location near not only pubs, cafes, restaurants and shops but a lovely beach also.

Good parking which is hard to find in Whitby. And very friendly neighbours, have already booked next years holiday at this lovely location.
