Humble bee cottage is fantastic exceptionaly clean and comfortable a Beautiful cottage in a very nice position to watch the ducks on the village green and the owner although not face to face Fiona is only a phone call away and any problems or questions is only to happy to help , I myself hope to return to Humble Bee Cottage in the future sometime.

Thankyou Fiona .

We had a lovely stay in Humble Bee cottage .

Everything you could think of had been provided and it was immaculately presented . We had a rainy week so spent a lot of time inside but we felt at home and comfortable so it was not a problem. A 5 star experience.

We had a lovely holiday, weather was kind to us but most of all the lovely house we got to stay in.

It was perfect, I can't think of anything we didn't like. Everything you could possibly need was in a cupboard or drawer. Alot nearer to Brid and Filey than we thought. Busy road at the front but surprisingly quiet. Would highly recommend.

This was our third visit to Humble Bee Cottage, as delightful as the first, a lovely, well equipped home from home.

Everything you could ask for.

This was our second visit to humble bee cottage and we will go again.

It is always very clean and welcoming. It sits in a quaint village with a lovely pub and a duck pond.

Our second visit to this delightful property and just as enjoyable as before.

A very high standard of comfort throughout with everything provided that one would wish for in a self-catering holiday. Lovely relaxing surroundings in the peaceful wolds. 10/10! T

Beautiful cottage in a peaceful setting, nice welcome pack & very well equipped, don’t think we have stayed in a cleaner place, would have easily given it 5 stars but for the beds being too firm for us personally.

A most pleasing property.

Spacious, comfortable and super clean. Humble Bee Cottage is a credit to the owner who upholds traditional core values that underpins excellent customer satisfaction. Thank you Fiona

Humble Bee Cottage, A very spacious, beautifully decorated home.

It is well equipped and very clean. It's in a lovely village opposite the village green and close to the village pub. We loved it. Thank you Fiona for the welcome gifts.

What a fantastic place this is, so cosy and friendly.

Loved our stay here, peaceful and cosy place. Will be back.

Humble Bee cottage was a beautiful place to stay.

It was extremely clean and had every thing we needed especially in the kitchen. The setting was delightful and it was perfect for days out to the coast and the King Charles 111 Coastal path and extremely close to the Walds Way walk. We are keen walkers. A pleasant friendly pub in the village, but only does evening meals on Friday, Saturday And Sunday. Would definitely recommend this cottage.

This is a lovely place to stay, really clean and comfortable with everything we needed.

We really enjoyed our stay there and would love to come back in the future. It's well placed and the garden is charming. Thanks again!

We had a great week at Humblebee cottage.

It is very light and homely with everything you could possibly need. The house was very clean and in a lovely, quiet location. The hand rails were also much appreciated.

Cannot fault the cottage it is perfect.

Everything you need is provided. Fiona was only a phone call away and was very caring . She provided a little welcome pack which was really appreciated. The bed was really comfortable as was the furniture in the whole house. Thank you Fiona for the loan of Humble Bee Cottage we will be back.

Lovely holiday cottage, felt like home from home.

Very clean and had everything that we needed for the week. Good communication from the owner regarding the cottage and the local facilities and places to visit in the area. I would recommend this cottage and would definitely go again.

Lovely house, nicely furnished and decorated.

The property is first- rate - very clean and comfortable and in a lovely peaceful location.

Fiona messaged us once during the week to ensure we had everything we needed. We would definitely stay there again.

Beautifully presented.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Would recommend. Lovely setting in a quiet village.

Just come back from a week at Humble Bee Cottage, it's the best cottage we've ever stayed in.

Spotlessly clean with everything you could want from a well presented, well placed cottage. Like a home from home. Excellent. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Fantastic property with amazing owners who made sure everything was perfect for our stay with small touches such as a welcome tray so we could have a cup of tea after our long drive!

We made use of all 3 bedrooms and all beds were very comfortable, and we used the cot provided and high chair for our 1 year old. Having the option to get this set up ahead of our arrival was brilliant as often travel cots have a nack to them and having to do it in a rush before bedtime would not have been fun! The kitchen was really well stocked and the washing machine worked well for us as a family group too. We played some of the games provided as well and enjoyed watching the birds in the garden too. Thanks so much, we would definitly recommend!

Bumblebee cottage is one of the nicest cottages we’ve stayed in it’s exactly like the photos that Sykes showed.

It’s very clean and very comfortable and Fiona left us a few lovely treats. We will definitely be going back to Humblebee cottage.

A beautiful cottage.

Our first visit but won’t be the last. Immaculately clean, and well furnished. Central for most places you would like to visit. What more could you want? The owner, Fiona, was in contact with us too, to make sure we were quite happy. Ideal!

Fabulous house!

Beautifully decorated, spacious and spotlessly clean. Very quiet village , just what we like! In a good spot, lots of places coastal and inland to visit within easy reach. Owner Fiona, contacted us on first day to see if everything ok, a lovely gesture. A very nice welcome pack too! Could not fault anything. A perfect stay for us!

We loved the property and it was fully equipped .

Only found the games cupboard on the last day as we took our own. Lovely location and the garden was spacious . The kitchen was very spacious and appreciated the extra cooking additions. Loved the gift kn arrival ❤️ would certainly stay again thank you

This property is exceptionally clean and well equipped.

I stayed there in may 2024 I would recommend this house to anyone, believe me you will not be disappointed. I also met Fiona the owner of the property who is a very nice person .

A wonderful property very clean and tidy superb size, and very thoughtful owner.

Most enjoyable stay in this wonderful home. ideally located for a multiple of venues for trips out.

House was immaculate and clean, felt so comfortable here, like being at home, Perfect location to travel to local beaches and market towns,Fiona and Keith so friendly and only a phone call away, once again we loved our stay and will be back.

John/Sandra.ps lovely village pub

Lovely property, very friendly and helpful owner.

Wonderful view, directly over the village green. 2 mins from the village pub. Easy to get to coast, situated in the beautiful Wolds, and other charming villages, pleasant walks (the Wolds Way passes not too far away, you can walk to it. Easy ride to Scarborough, York and other towns such as Filey, Beverley, Driffield, Bridlington.

Lovely cottage, very clean, very well equipped, quite, lovely village pub.

Excellent cottage with bags of space and all the amenities to facilitate our stay.

Bedrooms are spacious and very comfortable beds. We will definitely be coming back.

Excellent, cosy, well equiped cottage - highly recommended.

We had a lovely relaxing week at Humble Bee Cottage.

It was extremely well equipped and comfortably furnished to a high standard. It is well placed for visits to the coast and places in land. The welcome pack was much appreciated on arrival after a long journey. The owner was very friendly and helpful, and we look forward to staying there again.

Just returned from a 2 week stay at Humble Bee Cottage.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, both in the area and especially the Cottage. The property is very roomy, comfortable, thoughtfully decorated like a well-kept family home rather than a holiday rental with quality fittings. Fully equipped with everything we needed, especially as we needed to self cater more than most renters would. Met Fiona several times, very helpful and pleasant, nothing too much trouble, has made an excellent job of setting up the property for holiday rental. Nice location and we intend to return to the property and area.

beautiful cottage and surroundings.

everything you could want was there did not need to take anything extra all was provided.the welcome pack was much appreciated.would not hesitate to book again.

Everything about our stay Humble Bee was spot on, the owners have thought of everything to make it a perfect place to stay in.

The Cottage was extremely clean and modern.

Plenty of space & very well equipped. It was a good base for car journeys to Filey, Bridlington, Whitby, Scarborough, Robin Hoods Bay, Pickering & York. Plenty to do and see. The Hamlet has a pub which offers good value for money meals. There isn't a village shop, so the complimentary welcome items of food & drink from the owner were much appreciated on arrival. Would highly recommend.

Well equipt, comfortable, relaxing.

Owner very helpful with a couple of queries we had. Welcome pack more than adequate!

Fantastic the best property we have ever stayed in spotless everything you could ever need thank you Fiona & Keith

Humble Bee is one of the best cottages we've stayed at.

This was our third visit: the owners have maintained the property to a high standard... and made it even better!

We had a lovely relaxing week in this beautiful, spotlessly clean cottage.

The kitchen is equipped with everything you need ,the lounge so comfortable as are the beds . The cottage is in an ideal spot for visiting the many beaches and coastal towns in the area. Thanks again Fiona for the welcome treats . We would not hesitate to rebook in the future and will definitely recommend to friends and family.

This was the best holiday rental we have ever taken.

Clean, nicely furnished, well equipped, felt spacious, private garden. Only drawback - rather hard beds. I would thoroughly recommend this place.

We loved our stay at Humble Bee Cottage.

It was the cleanest property we have ever stayed in and everything had been carefully thought out. It was very comfortable and we had all we needed. Fiona was really helpful and left us a kind welcome pack. We wished we could have stayed longer! Great location too.

What a lovely spacious cottage in a great location.

Within walking distance of a great pub and good location for the coast and other day trips further in land. Fiona was really kind and nothing was too much trouble. If you’re looking for a cottage in a peaceful village location in beautiful Yorkshire look no further!

An amazing large house in a quiet, friendly location.

It is an ideal base for exploring the Yorkshire Coast and villages. Everything was first class and well explained. The welcome pack was a kind gesture. All in all it deserves a top award.

Wow!

! What a fabulous cottage. Exactly as described and spotlessly clean. It’s definitely the best cottage we have stayed in for quality, comfort and cleanliness. The owners have thought of and included absolutely everything needed to make it so cosy and comfortable. Every fitting and fixture is of such high quality, and the beds are so comfy. Bathroom is so big! All the rooms are so spacious light and so warm. There is a brochure with every single appliance instructions. Also a lovely safe garden and parking. It’s a beautiful village very quiet. A lovely welcome pack on arrival such a kind thought. Thankyou Fiona. Would 100% recommend this cottage to anyone, did not want to leave

Outstanding property.

Spacious and comfortable. Everything is provided for you. Coffee, tea, biscuits, milk and wine a nice touch on arrival. The local pub does very good food. Only 15 mins drive to coastal towns and Driffield so the property is a very good base. Will definitely be booking again.

A beautiful spacious property, well equipped with everything you may need during your stay.

Ideally situated for trips to Filey, Scarborough etc. Property set in a lovely village with a wonderful pub just a small walk over the road, delicious food and staff and landlady very welcoming, highly recommend a pint of wold gold. We tried to get in for Sunday lunch but it was fully booked - recommend booking in advance we certainly will be on our next visit. Fiona (owner of the property) just a phone call away if needed, nothing too much trouble, even came to say goodbye on our last day and to ask if everything had been ok and to ask if there was anything she could of done to improve guests stay - there wasn’t everything was perfect! Already booked our next visit in March, we cannot wait to go back!

What a beautiful house to spend our holiday in!

Super setting and we had everything we needed! Highly recommended from us!

Beautiful house lovely and clean

We had a lovely stay at humble bee cottage The place was spotless and the pictures do not do it justice The location was perfect and we enjoyed trips to Whitby, Scarborough and Filey The welcome pack was a lovely addition and if we needed anything Fiona was at hand to help Would definitely recommend staying at humble bee cottage

A beautiful house, very nicely furnished, spotlessly clean, very well equipped.

The cottage was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed.

Fiona was very helpful and extremely prompt in sorting a problem we had with the dishwasher. I contacted her several times and she was always willing to help and provide any information we required.

It would be great if you included a floor plan as it is better than the pictures

It was a beautiful clean and well presented cottage in a lovely quiet location.

Had all we needed. Host was welcoming and left welcome gifts which was a kind and thoughtful gesture. You really need to be able to drive to stay here as it is in a very rural location. Many places are nearby, by car like Scarborough, Whitby and York. The only downside for us was we found the beds very hard and struggled to sleep at first because of this. If you like a softer bed I recommend bringing your own mattress topper.

Property perfect.

Cleanliness excellent, everything in the property that you could possibly want. I have booked with Sykes for a few years now and this is the best accommodation we have rented. I would recommend this property and give it 10 out of 10.

Our second time at Humble Bee.

The cottage is clean, comfortable and homely. Well equipped with everything you need. Wold Newton is a peaceful village and a great location. Wonderful holiday cottage, hope to return!

Humble bee cottage is one of the best holiday cottages I, my husband, sister and brother in law have ever stayed in.

We traveled a long way to get there and immediately fell in love with it. Wold Newton where the cottage is situated is delightful, with its own 11th century church, and you can expect a warm welcome at the Anvil pub with its delicious home cooked food. Anyone who chooses to stay at Humble Bee cottage will not be disappointed. 5 star accommodation

Had a fantastic time at Humble Bee Cottage.

It was so peaceful, relaxing, spacious, comfortable and spotlessly clean. Fiona, the host had thought of everything you need for a perfect holiday. All Covid safety precautions were in place. Lovely quiet village, with only a public house, which we visited only once on day of arrival, good food. A shop was a few miles away. Close by were Filey, Bridlington, Scarborough and Flamborough Head. Would definately recommend to family and friends.

Extremely comfortable well equipped cottage in a very picturesque village of Yorkshire

We thoroughly enjoyed our week at this property.

It was very comfortable, well equipped and extremely clean. A real home from home. It was nice to wander around the village in the evenings and look at the geese and goslings on the village pond. We explored the surrounding area - beautiful beach at Filey and walked the clifftop paths at Flamborough Head and Bempton which is full of nesting bird colonies. Another lovely day out was to Sewerby Hall (gardens and zoo only due to Covid restrictions) where we caught a little train to Bridlington and walked back along the clifftop. A lovely part of the country and we hope to return. Apparently the village pub is very good but closed during our stay. Another reason to visit again!

The house was a lovely home from home with all the home comforts.

Will definitely book to stay again.

The cottage was absolutely stunning and clean with every possible Covid safety precaution in place.

Fiona was extremeley helpful before and during our break. The local beach was beautiful and quiet so I'd thoroughly recommend a visit.

Couldn't have been cleaner ,more comfortable, and better equipped .

Highly recommend Humble Bee Cottage in Wold Newton.

it was home from home we loved the cottage

The cottage was perfect.

Spacious and comfortable and very clean. We would love to stay there again.

The property was immaculate and everything was top quality!

Wonderful location, facilities and a friendly host.

Fiona was very thoughtful and provided everything we could with for. It was lovely to have a tray with tea and coffee waiting for us as it was a long journey! I would wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone!

Location of the cottage is great.

Close - by the places we wanted to visit. The village itself is very picturesque and very quiet. The cottage is immaculate and was lovely and cozy at night after our days out walking and exploring the area. All facilities you could want and a lovely welcome pack on arrival. Private drive-way was also a plus. Would definitely recommend to friends and family.

Wonderful cottage, very friendly host.

It was a pleasure to stay in this gem over Christmas.

Absolutely first class cottage.

Extremely clean, comfortable and homely.

The cottage was spotless and had everything needed for a comfortable stay.

Fiona was also a great host, nothing was too much trouble, giving us information about the local Pub and about local walks in the area when asked. I would definitely recommend to others and make a return visit in the future. It was cosy, warm, beautifully decorated and furnished too. The beds were comfy, there was lots of storage space in the bedrooms with lots of lovely touches and a great sized kitchen and eating space. A well thought out property. Thank you Fiona...... We will be back.

Humble Bee cottage was a great place to stay due to its location close to the beautiful Robins Hoods Bay, Filey and only 50 minutes from York and Witby.

Humble Bee Cottage itself has a very homely feel, warm, spacious and very comfortable. It has every thing you need for a self catering get away. Thanks to Fiona for the little treats, the kids loved the chocolates and biscuits.
