Clayfield Farm

Clayfield Farm sits in a semi-rural position with scenic views over the open countryside and Yorkshire Wolds, just a mile from the market town of Pocklington, East Riding of Yorkshire. This idyllic collection of buildings has been restored to a wonderful standard by the owners, consisting of the main farmhouse, a barn conversion and four shepherd huts, each with their own external showers. Accessed along a private road, there is a spacious gravelled area where guests can park up before finding their new abodes. Within the farm there are outside seating areas with barbecues and a pizza oven, whilst the farm is home to sheep, ducks, turkeys and hens, which are all very friendly and don’t mind being fed! Just a mile away lies Pocklingotn Town Centre, boasting a choice of pubs, bars, cafés and restaurants, along with a main square offering local shops, a post office and a supermarket, so you won’t have to go far to find the essentials. There is a network of walking and cycling routes nearby; explore the Yorkshire Wolds Way accessed in Pocklington, Millington Woods walk, the Pocklington Canal Towpath and several other dog walks in and around Pocklington. The coastal towns of Whitby, Scarborough, Filey and Bridlington are a scenic car journey away and offer quintessential seaside charm and sandy beaches, whilst the city of York is easily accessible along the A1079 and there is a good bus route from Pocklington. Avid golfers can tee off at the KP Golf Club before enjoying a meal and drink in the on-site bar and restaurant. For a memorable stay in this part of Yorkshire, look no further than Clayfield Farm.
