    “Lovely cottage, all that we hoped for.”

    Might be a good idea to provide a child gate to prevent sod (this was a misprint but still correct!!!) dog from running up stairs! A lovely stay, we will be back!!

The property

A charming, detached, stone cottage, in the centre of the small village of Appleton-le-Moors, near Kirkbymoorside in the heart of the North York Moors National Park.

This lovely cottage is set on the owner's complex, behind electric gates, the location is stunning, with outstanding views over open countryside, and ideal for family or friends to explore this lovely part of the country.

Inside this pleasant cottage is a cosy open plan living area which offers a relaxing ambiance and has a flagged floor, underfloor heating and a crackling open fire to toast the toes in the cooler evenings.

Head into the bright and cheerful garden room, where light streams in and doors open onto the patio.

Upstairs, there are two pretty bedrooms that share a modern family bathroom.

Relax outside in the sunny, sheltered and sizeable planted patio area which offers privacy and stunning views over to the Howardian Hills beyond the garden of the estate.

This area also comes with a barbecue and outside furniture.

Providing a very comfortable holiday home, this attractive cottage is surrounded by a wonderful network of public footpaths and trails, enabling walkers and cyclists to leave the car behind and just enjoy the fresh air and exercise.

Nearby, the historic market town of Kirkbymoorside offers all lots of cafes, pubs and restaurants, with a weekly market day and nearby golf course.

A little further afield, there are many attractions including Castle Howard stately home, Duncombe Park and Nunnington Hall.

Abbeys include Rievaulx and Byland and the magnificent city of York is within an hour’s drive.

This lovely cottage is in an ideal spot to re-charge the batteries.

With wide green verges, where the sheep graze freely, it provides a peaceful haven in beautiful countryside.
