Great location. House fully and thoughtfully equipped. Slight negative - external door locks worn and very difficult to operate. Roof leak in boot room. However, loved it! We look forward to staying again. Thankyou.
Mr Soar
We enjoyed being in Sandsend again with lovely weather. The house was very near to the beach which was the main reason for our booking and we had also stayed at this house in June this year. I did post feedback from that visit which mainly concerned the locks on the doors and windows which all need looking at or replacing. On several occasions we could not close the front door which resulted in us leaving it open when we went out. The other major concern for me was the car parking area which was the drive. This was another reason I had booked here as I know that Sandsend and this road gets very busy in summer and there is no where to park. I did not actually park on the drive as it is very narrow to enter due to the small wall for the bin storage which makes the entry point very small. Because there are no lines on the road cars park right up to the drive way entrance and also on the other side of the road which makes it very difficult to swing round into the drive. This was very disappointing. These were our too major concerns with this property. The property is looking a little tired and could do with a little attention but it is in a lovely spot and has all the basics you would require. We always enjoy Sandsend.
Miss Conlon
A lovely property in a perfect spot. It was so nice to just sit in the garden and enjoy the sound of waves so close by. With sea views from various rooms in the house, what is not to love? Thank you for a lovely break
Mrs Kearney

Mrs Floyd-wynne
Stayed here loads of times so look forward to coming back. Got everything I need, ideal location, lovely and clean, so near to the sea, lovely garden at the back. Love the style of the house, very homely and familiar. However the only thing that may put me off booking next year is the price, the price went up a lot after COVID and has stayed up, I fear that I may not be able to afford it next year which makes me really sad.
Mrs Goodwin
We enjoyed our stay as we had chosen the location to be close to the sea. As we do a lot of sea sports so have wetsuits and boards we were really pleased the cottage had a hose at the front for showering sand off and that there was access through the side door to the back so we did not go through the main living space in wet and sandy gear. We could also hang the towels on the line to dry. The main concerns were that the parking space was very narrow to enter the drive as the bin store took some of the entry space away. As there are no lines on the road to either side of the drive and opposite, it means that people park either side of the drive entry and opposite so there is not sufficient space to swing in. This could be resolved by either moving bin store and a little bit of wall away or white lines on the road. The other issue is the door and window locks are old and are very hard to use especially the back door which we had to leave open as we could not get it locked. It would be great if the parking could be sorted out. We enjoyed our stay.

We booked Seacliff cottage hoping that the reviews were overly harsh. The location is excellent near to the beach and facilities of Sandsend. The house itself is terribly dated and in desperate need of upgrading. It really needs new furniture and the beds are like sleeping on cardboard, even the towels are practically threadbare. You get what you pay for does not hold true in this instance as we paid a lot of money to stay there. Sorry to moan but i wouldn’t stay there again.
Mrs Corcoran
Had trouble with lack heating and hot water. No details of how to operate tv and dvd, never worked out how to use dvd. A laminated list would work as it could easily be wipe down. Furniture very dated especially in the bedrooms. No double glazing window locks iffy. I wish I had been more thorough reading passed comments before I booked With a little TLC it would be lovely, the garden and position in Sandsend are good. Disappointed especially for the price I paid.
Mrs Brown
The interior is very dated
Mr Walker
Welcome pack was fantastic thank you! Nice to have a truly dog proof garden so able to relax when they are out there. Fantastic being so close to the beach, the dogs loved it and it wore them out. Lovely to have views of the sea from the front windows and whilst lying in bed.
Cozens Party
The garden is great as we have dogs and the furniture is lovely - the welcome package is great and the dog treat is a bonus! Staff at Yorkshire Coastal Cottages were very pleasant and helpful - very good telephone manner too - 10/10
