Stone's Throw

We had a lovely stay at stones throw.

Everything we needed was there, even down to a washing line and pegs. Lots of lovely places to eat close by and the beach and the park to entertain the children a few minutes walk away.

We had a lovely week at Stones Throw.

It had everything we needed, including off street parking; We enjoyed being minutes walk from the beach and town centre while at the same time enjoying peace and privacy after a hard day of sightseeing. We would recommend Stones Throw to all ages.

Another lovely holiday at Stones Throw so comfortable and convenient, no doubt we will be back again !

Stones Throw is a lovely cottage.

Great kitchen (we cooked a Christmas meal for four no problem). Washing machine was really handy and there was plenty of room for everyone. Thank you for a lovely stay.

This is our second visit to Stone's Throw, last visiting in 2021.

We will definitely be back! The property is situated perfectly to walk into Filey town centre, the beach or onto the coastal walk. Lots of shops and restaurants within a few minutes walk so no need to use the car. Close to town centre, but quiet. The house itself is clean and warm, has everything you need with a well equipped kitchen to cook if you'd rather stay in, washing machine and clothes line or airer. Comfortable sofa to relax watching TV. Handy downstairs toilet in addition to the main upstairs bathroom. The outside rear area is gated and can be bolted from the inside so secure and a sitting area outside the back door if the weather is nice. In a nutshell everything you need - a home from home for a relaxing break.

The house is always spotless, comfortable and warm in the cold months with everything you could possibly need during your stay. The location is perfect for a short walk into Filey and to the park or beach. Also, for travelling further afield and there's always plenty to do for all ages and abilities. It's a real home from home, so comfortable and warm. Perfectly located, just a few minutes stroll into Filey with all the amenities and a few minutes to the park or beach. Lots of places to visit close by by bus, train or car. We'll be returning soon. Thank you

Lovely mid terrace house.

Having 2 parking spaces available is great. Very close to town and the gardens / sea. We loved our few days away.

It is a cosy and very well equipped property located near the centre of Filey. It is within a short walk of the beach, Glen gardens and the shops. Superb !

Stones Throw is ideally located for exploring the east coast just a 5 minute walk from the bus service serving Bridlington and Scarborough a 45 minute ride away .

The property was well equipped with a very informative property information book . Another plus is the 2 parking places with the property a boon in a busy resort like Filey . Would defiantly recommend Stones Throw its clean well equipped and comfortable all you need in a holiday let .

Really nice place,homely and warm.

Everything was top class,a very warm house without having any heating on. Good to be able to park off the road behind gates. Honestly one of the best places we have stayed at.

Lovely property and a great location, only yards from the entrance to Glen Gardens and minutes from the sea.

The enclosed car-parking at the rear of the house meant it was very family-friendly, with a small garden area for the kids to run off any spare energy at the end of the day. Very well equipped kitchen meant we had everything we needed for cooking family meals. Good selection of books for the kids and games for all was a nice bonus. We had a visitor join us for a day and so the second car-parking space was vey much appreciated. We hadn’t realised there wasn’t a dishwasher in the house, which was a shame, and the lack of a smart TV downstairs was slightly disappointing, but neither of those things would put us off booking the property again and we had a great week.

Stone's Throw is by far the best accommodation that we have stayed at.

It really is a home from home..... So comfortable! The house is spacious, sparkling clean with great fixtures and fittings, with everything you need. Perfectly situated, just a few minutes walk into Filey but situated in a lovely quiet area near the park and a few minutes walk to the beach. So many places to visit and see within short distance by car or bus, such a beautiful area. Will definitely be back again, thank you.

A few things would make it even more comfortable please fill the hand soap dispensers in the downstairs loo and kitchen a shelf in the shower for shampoo etc would be useful Some cushions on the sofa would be great! Thanks for a great stay

Our 2nd visit to Stones Throw with 4 adults and a 4 year old .

House very warm and cosy , winter duvets on the beds ( which was excellent as weather was very unpredictable) Very clean and tidy Kitchen well equipped Car parking very welcome as we brought 2 cars. Location perfect for park / beach and easy walking into town . Plenty to do in Filey and would recommend going to the animal and bird sanctuary Can’t wait to return next year

Our third stay at this fantastic property, lovely house, couldn't better the position, parking, sitting out area, absolutely everything you could need is provided.

This is a lovely place.

The house was light, bright, clean and very well equipped. Two parking spaces in such a good location were a real bonus. Five minutes walk to the shops and cafes, and really close to the front. It would be difficult to find a better place to stay.

The property owner could not have been more helpful.

Unfortunately we had to cut our holiday short because Filey is not suitable for elderly visitors without a car.

Just returned from our 3rd stay at stones throw, the house was as clean and comfortable as ever, looking forward to returning in August for another week.

Stones Throw is the perfect holiday accommodation.

Clean, comfortable and warm...sadly we needed heating with cold weather we had! The milk, biscuits and supplies were very welcome after a long journey and a lovely touch. Perfect location for town, gardens down to the promenade and for the bus station for trips to Scarborough, Bridlington and Whitby. Cannot fault a thing and is a beautiful home to which we definitely plan to return to.

Stone’s Throw is a lovely house, we had a great week staying there.

It was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed. The parking is so good, no worrying about spaces is always a bonus. The shower is fantastic. The owner Sandra sent a nice message to check we were ok. Can’t fault anything. 5 stars.

it was perfect for us. The property itself was so clean and comfortable and in a great location........and with parking! just a few minutes walk into the centre of Filey and all its amenities and the beach and park is just at the end of the road. We've stayed in and around Filey for years and in our opinion this was the best by far, a real gem. Our welcome gift of milk, tea, coffee hot chocolate and biscuits was a lovely touch, thankyou. We will definitely be returning.

Absolutely everything provided for, parking such a bonus. The house literally is a stones throw from everything ! We will be back again.

We really enjoyed our stay at Stones Throw but the house would really benefit from a toaster and some comfier pillows.

The only thing i missed is not having a dish washer in the accommodation but that wouldn’t put me off going back which we will

It has everything you could possibly need. It is close to the centre of Filey and also the beach. Private parking is a bonus. We have already got two further weeks booked. Highly recommend

Clean & very comfortable. All the amenities you could possibly need for a relaxing holiday are provided. Short walk from town centre, beach, pubs, & bars. Plenty of information provided by owners to plan a variety of days out. We had a lovely stay again.

A stunning home which is in central Filey, two parking spaces provided and within 5 minutes walk of the beach and the town.

The house is spotlessly clean, beautifully furnished and with a fully equipped kitchen including a Nespresso coffee machine ! There was a lovely welcome pack from Sandra, the owner, and also a text from her to make sure we were happy with everything. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely return. I would highly recommend a stay here.

The downstairs TV was difficult to operate and i had to ring the owner for help, which was given.

I didn’t need a TV upstairs but would have preferred a better one downstairs!

A very clean comfortable holiday let.

It was nice to have good quality home from home kitchen equipment. Really appreciated the dishwashing liquid, handwashing liquid and small supply of loo rolls. The coffee machine with a good supply of pods and welcome tray of drink sachets, biscuits and milk in the fridge was very welcome. Thank you for the email prior to our holiday which outlined all of the above and some good recommendations for local eateries. We went to Ingham's and San Marco's, which we would also recommend. The only thing that disturbed our sleep was the squawking of the seagulls; the beds and quilts were very comfortable. We would definitely recommend.

Had a fantastic holiday and besides having accommodation second to none we were also blessed with very good weather for the time of year.

A bonus is having safe exclusive parking at the property. Spotlessly clean and within an easy stroll to the beach and town centre. Nice welcome pack too!

Very happy with the standard of accommodation at Stones Throw including the well equipped kitchen for those who wish to cook, the welcome pack was very much appreciated able to have a hot drink on arrival without having to go to the shops also the downstairs toilet is a blessing will be looking to book again next year if available

We liked being so close to the beach and not needing to use the car very much.

We tried out some of the eating out suggestions in the guest information which was emailed before our visit. It was handy to be able to make bookings before we arrived and before they were booked out.

The house is lovely - we stayed as a family of four and it was comfortable and clean, with a well equipped kitchen.

Very short walk to the beach makes it a perfect base for exploring Filey and the surrounding areas.

A lovely immaculate house, everything you could want was provided.

Also within very easy walking distance of all amenities. Plenty of room for parking car at rear of property. Would not hesitate to visit this house again.

We had a brilliant holiday in Stones Throw.

It’s a perfect house in a perfect location. Literally 5 mins for beach and park , which was ideal for our granddaughter (4). Property was so clean and modern with everything you need ( perhaps a mirror in double room would be good ) Owner kept in touch which was thoughtful. Filey is a lovely family resort and will definitely be back.

The accommodation was new, large, clean, uncluttered, functionally perfect (apart from no mirror within range of plug socket to dry hair).

The location was perfect, very central and had secure parking. We had a lovely stay and lacked for nothing in either the accommodation or location. It was very relaxing. Filey was small but beautiful and we had a lovely time.

The owner sent me an email with suggestions for eating out and other extra information. She obviously takes a real interest in guests and ensures they are comfortable and have everything they need.

Spotlessly clean. All the furniture & furnishings were top quality, from bedding to crockery. Everything looked new and well cared for. Couldn't fault anything about our stay. Filey is lovely, small but has everything you need & a perfect base to visit surrounding areas and costal towns.

It was ideally situated for a perfect family holiday with our grandchildren aged 13 months and 5 years. A 5 minute walk to the beach, park and the town centre. We would highly recommend thus property.
