“This is an ideal location for a family holiday.”

Four of us and our big dog stayed and my sister, her family and their dog had Forge cottage across the way. There was plenty of room for us all to eat together and hang out in the evenings (ours was a bit bigger with some garden space although theirs had the sea view). It was nice for my teens to have separate bedrooms and their own bathroom. A lot of places for 6 are really for 4 with 2 extras crammed in but this is properly spacious. The cottage was well equipped with everything you could need ...

The cottage was well equipped with everything you could need and it was all very clean. I can confirm the new mattresses are very comfortable. The owners are friendly and helpful but not intrusive (Our shower curtain fell down and Alan fixed it right away). The views from the cottage are amazing and there are lovely walks from the door. It’s an easy 30-40 mins downhill walk on the Cinder path to Robin Hoods Bay which is absolutely charming and you can walk along the beach (if the tide is out) or along the cliffs to Boggle Hole. The only real downside is that the track up to the farm is steep, unsurfaced and very bumpy. We would not have wanted to attempt it in winter or after dark but that didn’t limit us much on a summer family holiday.

hi Good news We have laid 30 tonnes of stone on the track up to the farm to make it less bumpy( laid last week, glad you all enjoyed your stay Property Owner
