Silver Birches

The cottage had everthing we needed, very well equipped,comfortable and cozy.

Would have liked an enclosed garden but this wasn't a problem as our dog is older and didn't wander, lovely grounds and well kept gardens. We had some difficulty with the smart TV. Very comforatable bed.

We had a great stay at,Silver Birches.

We had a WOW moment on arrival. What a location. Great grounds, our son and dog loved it. It is a communal garden so dogs will mix. We had the pleasure of chilling in the evening and watching hares & barn owls, in their natural habitat. Plenty of pubs for food. We covered a 35 mile radius between Whitby to Scarborough and found plenty to explore. The North Yorkshire National Park is vast. One day we just followed the road and fell upon some lovely villages and coves. The steam railway is a must!

Beautiful cottage in a peaceful location.

Lots of thoughtful extras in the kitchen, books and games in the lounge and toiletries in the luxury bathroom. We would recommend the accommodation to anyone wanting a peaceful holiday, the landscaped gardens are amazing and well kept. Picnic benches and garden benches to relax on. Idea for dog owners too.

If you need isolation and peace & immerse yourself in the countryside.

this is the place. Spotless cottage one of the best we have been in everything you needed. Comfortable bed however settee soft thank goodness for the fireside chair. No DVD and the freesat didn't work at all. Didn't meet or see the owners we did contact several times during our stay. We have been before so knew where to park but would be a good idea for each cottage to have a named space as was some haphazard parking. Dogs beware ... no gate.

So good we are staying another week

This is such a beautiful location, so peaceful with wonderful wildlife.

The cottage was really comfy and it had everything we needed, I could have stayed for a lot longer. Delia was really attentive when there was anything we needed and we felt very welcome. We would definitely return again in the future.

Silver birches ticked all our boxes, we loved everything about it, especially its location.

We loved it so much we booked again for March, our jack Russell's also loved everything about it also. It's a very special place, and we have enjoyed every minute of our holiday.

This is a lovely cottage set in a beautiful location a place to really relax and unwind, we had a great stay and would highly recommend it.

The only slight niggle would be the shower lacks a bit of power. I realise this would be difficult as it's fed from a local source & it's fairly remote location.

A wonderful cottage in a quite and peaceful rural location within driving to coastal and inland areas. Fully equipped Cottage .Friendly people and I had the opportunity to speak to the owner who was very friendly and informative regarding the area . We visited the Witching Post In in Egton wonderful meal and welcoming community. Highly recommended all round .

A lovely and comfortable cottage.

Everything you needed was available. Footpaths straight from the door couldn’t have asked for anything better. Even the weather was good for us.

An absolutely amazing location.

Panoramic views from the property, with lots of walks on the doorstep. The dogs had a great time. Clean on arrival and very comfy beds with all of the amenities required. Would definitely visit again. Thank you

Brilliant location high up on the moors, quite isolated yet easy to visit various places. Wonderful garden for the dogs to explore. The whole complex is so well thought out and so carefully maintained. It was a privilege to stay in such a beautiful place. We could not have enjoyed it more and feel so relaxed. Just brilliant!

Silver Birches is a lovely cottage, its well equiped, comfortable and a place you could return to again and again.

The surrounding area is beautiful whatever the weather. It's a wildlife haven, we saw a barn owl every day plus deer and hares.

Fantastic location for a lovely cottage, beautifully fitted and comfortable.

The views from the windows and gardens are perfect, so peaceful except for the sounds of cuckoos every morning and evening plus all the other wildlife. Nearest pub about 2 miles most welcoming even with our 2 dogs food and real ale very nice. We will go back.

A very nice holiday cottage in a great position.

Lovely cottage set in such a beautiful location and it’s so peaceful and quiet there it is the most relaxing place we have stayed, the cottage is very homely and comfortable with everything you need and a lovely open fire which we really enjoyed.

There are plenty of things to do in the area for days out and the area is excellent for walking on the moors which the dogs loved .We had a brilliant time here.

Very good facilities and the cottage was very comfortable. Delia and Andy were very helpful and a pleasure to stay with. Great place if you have a little one or a dog. We got the train to Whitby from the train station in the Village and the local pub was really nice.

Superb property with everything you could possibly need, and everything in good working order.

This bungalow stands in an idyllic rural area with amazing wildlife visiting the garden and adjoining lands. The grounds are attractively landscaped and well planted. The owners are helpful and friendly. The nearby Arncliffe arms is very welcoming, and serves very good food at reasonable prices.

If you want peace this is the place to go.

The views are spectacular, the garden wonderful especially for dogs to race around ( it is not secure so you need to have well behaved dogs). The cottage was beautifully appointed with good quality crockery. We lit the fire one day as we didn’t have the best of weather and it was lovely and cosy. Whitby only 9 miles away and lots of other Yorkshire towns to visit. We drove down Chimney Bank coming back from Rosedale, the steepest road in Britain
