“We stayed hear for 7 days from 12th June to the 19th June.”

We had a lovely stay the property is close to Filey, Scarborough and Bridlington and a 45 minute drive from Whitby. The kitchen is well equipped and beds are very comfy. On arrival there was a crayed carpet edve which was a trip hazard and a towel holder hanging off the wall I reported this and the issues where resolved quickly on the day of reporting. The shower was powerful and plenty of hot water but the shower is very slippery so needs a shower mat and could do with a hand rail as you come ...

The garden is great if you have dogs as fully secure. The property is lovely needs a little tlc as some of the skirting boards where not clean and the sofas have seen better days as they are to low to be comfortable for people over 55. I

“We were very comfortable and warm in the well equipped property.”

It was very clean. But could do with some maintenance and TLC. The front door was damaged when we arrived. A hinge pin hanging out of it. Our dog loved the secure garden and adjoining field. We will certainly be returning next year. Thank you Jacki John and staff at the Grange.

“We enjoyed a lovely few days at Puffin Cottage.”

Comfy, practical and aesthetically pleasing accommodation with easy access to surrounding attractions and beautiful scenery. A couple of little maintenance issues - frayed carpet threshold into the living room which could be a trip hazard; The shower was a great size and clean but needs some minor maintenance around the floor of the cubicle and door frame. Could do with curtains on the double bedroom window as there's a security light directly outside which stayed on all night and the venetian blind didn't block it everso well. Also, there was no hairdryer - only a very slight inconvenience. Altogether though, we enjoyed the stay very much!

“Lovely few days at Puffin cottage.”

Well equipped, everything you'd need, including dishwasher. Stayed at two other cottages on the site previously. Puffin is the best if you have a dog as only cottage with an enclosed outside area. Comfy bed but sofa's are very low for us oldies !! Lovely meals at the Viking hotel served all day. Two good fish and chip shops in the village. Hunmanby Gap beach dog friendly and lovely walk along the beach to Filey.

“Lovely place really comfortable and a lovely place to stay would highly recommend.”

Only thing I would suggest would be curtains in the bedrooms as the blinds didn’t shut out the light so if a light sleeper then the early sun rise did wake you. But really didn’t affect our stay and we would stay again if in the area

“I have emailed the owner twice since returning home to enquire about a dressing gown that I left hanging on the back of the bedroom door.”

I wanted to know how much it would cost to post it back to me. Unfortunately on both occasions my request has been ignored. I wouldn't mind but it was an expensive garment. They have not even bothered to let me know that it has been found. It is very distinguishable blue paisley design with Julie embroidered on the left side in pink. Was nice good for the dog being enclosed at the back should all be like that.Lovely beds and well equipped. shower too low pressure and door was sticking fridge was noisy at night so that disturbed sleep other than that we will return again as its a lovely peaceful place and parking a must.These are not complaints just things that need addressing .

“The property itself was much nicer than the photos showed.”

Lovely welcome pack, especially for the dogs. The main issue was with the shower. There was lack of shower pressure, and the extraction fan did not work in the bathroom. It was also obvious with the debris from the sill the front door has been an issue for a while. The door was very stiff to open and close, and likely to be damaged in the future if not rectified. Otherwise, a lovely place to stay, and highly recommended. Excellent communication with the owners before the holiday. Thank you.

“Stayed in the puffin.”

Ideally behind conifers in fenced off garden, to have a fence for additional security as my dogs learnt to go through them onto shared grass area. Also wifi went off 1 night for a short time tried to call numbers given around 7pm - no answer. Not sure if phones are covered only in the day?

“Excellent cottage and facilities and location.”

The welcome pack was really appreciated. We had a problem with toilet cistern but Adam and maintenance crew were on it immediately and sorted it whilst we were out enjoying the holiday. One improvement would be to extend the garden fencing where the conifers are. We had dogs from neighbours in our garden and our dogs escaped as well so dogs could not be let out into garden unaccompanied. But a wonderful cottage - Thankyou.

“We loved our stay at the cottage, it was extremely comfortable and we had everything we could possibly need.”

There was quite a lot of loose newspaper and rubbish outside the back door under the hedge on the afternoon we arrived but this was cleared the next day. We would definitely recommend the cottage though and return again as it was ideal for what we needed and very close to both Bempton Cliffs and Flamborough Lighthouse which are the places we were there to visit.

“Lovely peaceful break.”

The pretty village of Flamborough occupies a superb setting, perched on a picturesque peninsula on the East Coast of Yorkshire, 4 miles from Bridlington.
