    “We really enjoyed our stay at Lazy Dayz Lodge.”

    On arrival the lodge was clean and tidy, the owners had been thoughtful in leaving a bottle of Prossecco chilling in the fridge, which was much appreciated. The decor was lovely, the bed was really comfortable and the hot tub was an added bonus, and very much enjoyed after long days out. The information book was very informative, and gave us an insight of where we could visit. The people who live, and those who work at the Snooty Fox are absolutely lovely, we were made to feel very welcomed ...

The people who live, and those who work at the Snooty Fox are absolutely lovely, we were made to feel very welcomed at the onside pub with everyone chatting to us. They really loved our dog, always welcoming her in the bar, making a big fuss of her, she was very spoilt with treats and loved all the attention. Nothing was to much trouble, which added to a wonderful weeks stay.

MALTON

York 18 miles; Scarborough 24 miles.

The market town of Malton has been the historic centre of Ryedale since Roman times, and has many interesting buildings including the old Corn Exchange and Assembly Rooms. A weekly general market is still held in the town, as well as livestock and farmers’ markets. The Yorkshire Moors are to the north, and the Yorkshire Wolds are to the south, making it excellent countryside for walkers and cyclists.
