Lottie's Cottage at Broadings Farm

This was our 3rd visit to Lotties, perfect location always lovely and clean,and comfortable,the kitchen is well equipped, secure parking and a lovely patio area to enjoy the views and perfect for the dog.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Lotties cottage, really couldn’t fault it at all.

Lovely well equipped and very clean cottage, superb views and only a few minutes walk to the park and ride so we didn’t need to use the car. Excellent private parking too.

Loved Lotties Cottage.

It was perfect. Everything you need is there. A nice walk into Whitby and easy to visit other places. Highly recommend Sykes holidays.That good we have booked again for next year. Same Cottage. If I could find 1 fault it needs a new hoover. Other than that no complaints from us . Thank you again

We had a lovely week in Lotties Cottage, it was very comfortable, it had everything you would need in the cottage, easy walking distance to Whitby, the owners were very friendly.

Our only problem was the busy road, very close and busy the whole time.

Great little cottage, great location, had a fab week, only criticism is I'd have liked a dustpan and brush for floor, hoover was very smelly.

But otherwise had everything we wanted.

This cottage is amazing all appliances are the best quality no cost saving exercise here.

Beautiful, quiet, we wish we had booked longer. 5*

Unfortunately we had to leave early but we were impressed by Lotties Cottage and the access to the fields for dog walking.

We hope to return soon.

Lotties cottage is a home from from home very modern and well equipment, very clean and well managed also the site itself is ideally located for a short skip into Whitby we have been going to Whitby for over 20 years and this is the best for location and an ideal base for us and the dog as there is very well kept dog walk in fields in front of the cottage and reception staff lovely it’s a definite great find this one

The best accomodation ever .

Loved it. Comfortable, clean, and everything you need in it. Home from home. Will be back next year.

Great location (just a walk to Whitby). Great accommodation, clean, tidy and well equipped. We will be back again next year.

Needed a good clean toaster did not work dust on all skirting boards shower not clean sofa needed good hover under cushions kitchen doors not clean dust on lamp shades really bad clean

Very nicely appointed accommodation.

Everything new and good quality with the exception of the cheap black plastic toilet seat in the bathroom. The site itself is a bit of a building site and there are no footpaths on the road from the farm so you really need a car to get around. But for the price it was excellent value and we very much enjoyed our stay.

No clothes airer ,could do with a bedside table next to door ,really good accommodation ,would book again

Lovely cottage.

Nice and cosy and warm inside while snowing outside. Dogs loved the dog run.

Very warm comfortable and well equipped cottage fantastic location to visit all of the surrounding area and it's attractions, good access to road systems and a few hundred yards up the road is park and ride facility,Whitby town centre is approximately 5 minutes in the car with plenty of parking that mainly seem to be operated by Ringo best to set up the app on your phone prior to needing it then very easy to use had a great stay thankyou very much to owners and staff

Absolutely gorgeous, we loved it so much we booked while we were there for next year.

Everything is there, pots, pans, oven gloves, washing up liquid and cloths etc. It was really warm, the heating is fab and just controlled by altering the thermostat. It could just do with some hooks for coats and dressing gowns and maybe a basket in the shower to put soaps/shampoos etc. Take a torch for walking to/from Whitby at night, there's no proper footpath for 1st 100 yards, just a grass verge but after that there's a great pavement. All in all a fabulous cottage and we'd highly recommend. We loved it.

Lovely cottage & very well equipped.

Comfortable & clean. We couldn’t access the WiFi despite multiple attempts but didn’t affect our stay. Could benefit for hooks for coats, especially in wet weather. Appreciated being able to let dog run in nearby field.

This is one of the best properties we have been in.

Although small it was very spacious. Everything about the cottage was of a very high standard and nothing was forgotten. We spent a very pleasant comfortable week in the cottage and will probably be back

Our first impressions of the property were very positive-modern, clean and comfortable, and well maintained.

The property is situated in an ideal position for Whitby and the surrounding area, although you are next to a busy road with a lot of traffic noise. All fixtures and fittings within the property are of a high standard, the bed and bedding, are extremely comfortable. There is a dedicated grassed area on site to exercise your dog, and the garden area is enclosed, with a parking area also.

We had a lovely stay here.

There was just one hiccup that we understand was out of the owners hands. This being due to lightening striking the establishment a few days before we arrived there was no internet connection throughout our whole stay. This may have altered our decision to stay here at that time as I was needing internet to complete some work but was unable to do so.

Lovely stay here had everything we needed apart from oven gloves and washing up liquid, small details I know, otherwise perfect.

Only a small complaint that could be looked at Nowhere to hang wet coats in the cottage could do with a couple of hooks on back of door had to leave soaking coats on back of chairs in living room no hooks anywhere in cottage

A beautiful cottage in a perfect location, spotlessly clean and well cared for, we had the best holiday

This is a lovely place to stay for someone like me - retired widow with 2 little dogs.

It is a great base to travel down tge East Coastal resorts and also to drive around the beautiful North Yorkshire Moors and villages. Ideal location. Lovely cottage.

one word describes all aspects of the cottage - superb

Everything was OK until the morning we left.

A few times during the week my wife was bitten on the leg during the night, didn't think anything about it. We were asked to put bed linen and towels in a black bag provided. When the bedding was removed there were dog hairs all over the mattress and the bed protector was covered in mould. Think there was some infestation with wife being bitten

This is the 3rd time we have stayed at Broadings farm and the cottages are excellent.

The only reason I didn’t give it a 5/5 on facilities & maintenance is we had a problem with the TV, it’s a smart TV that kept losing its WiFi signal, I did report it but it didn’t improve.

The Cottage was very nice it has everything you need that makes for a good holiday,very good cleanliness and comfortable this is one of the best cottage’s we have stayed in and will definitely go back

Amazing cottage & location.

The cottage has been built & furnished to a very high standard. It was our first visit and we will definitely be returning. The owner was very friendly & helpful. Loved it.

Absolutely beautiful cottage.

We had a fabulous stay. Cottage position was ideal for us to walk into Whitby & perfect for exploring the surrounding area. Cottage was modern, bright & tastefully decorated. Absolutely perfect. We would definitely recommend to others.

Wonderfully well appointed cottage.

It wants for nothing. Lovely lounge area with a high ceiling and a country view out of the patio doors. Well equipped kitchen with washer and dish washer. Spacious bedroom with plenty of storage. Nice size bathroom with separate shower. We had a great stay and will be looking to book again. Thanks and Well done.

We had a lovely stay at Lottie's Cottage, what an absolutely beautiful holiday home!

The decor is modern but comfortable and the cottage has all of the amenities you could want. The site was very peaceful and we had a lovely view of the sheep from our windows. It's a great location for visiting whitby (5mins drive) and the towns and villages surrounding sneaton. The only adjustment that would improve the cottage would be the placement of the washing line. It's location means that the bottom of the washing blows on to the flowerbed and gets covered in mud!

Lovely little cottage.

Great location near to whitby, beautifully decorated inside. Would have liked some salt and pepper in the pots and maybe some kitchen spray so we could wipe the worktops down. There was small amount of road noise in the bedroom but not enough to bother us. Had a lovely weekend all in and would stay again. One negative was the shower on Saturday morning. The shower itself is great comes with 2 heads a waterfall type one and a regular head both plenty of power. But on turning the shower on the smallest of the heads instantly drenched me much to my surprise. My immediate reaction was to close the door. I then had to open the door to try and turn it off and ended up soaked to my skin, water all over the walls and floor and soaking the toilet rolls. My wife though it was hilarious me not so much. I tried to dry out my Pj's For the night time but they were still wet. Not the best start to my day!

The cottage was lovely and provided everything you need for a nice relaxing break.

The Cottage was lovely and cosy, everything you needed was available, very clean, only thing we thought was missing was a second bedside table, other than that it was perfect.

Beautiful cottage in a lovely setting, close to great restaurants and only a mile from Whitby.

Perfect stay and very comfortable.

The only problem we had was a loose toilet seat.

Lotties Cottage is an amazing holiday let.

It has the wow factor as soon as you open the front door. Everything is catered for in this modern let. It is very clean and decorated to a high standard. It was a pleasure to stay here. This is a dog friendly let and you cannot tell. No smell of dogs at all. Definitely recommend this property.

Excellent cottage, home from home.

Location Brilliant for the coast. Would love to come again. Really recommend this if you are a pet owner who wants accommodation of a high standard.

We’ve had such a pleasant and cosy short break at Lottie’s Cottage.

Although the cottage is a row of cottages it felt very private and relaxing. Our Boxer dog loved his holiday so much and so did our 10 month baby. They spent so much time looking out of the patio doors. The only very minor downside I would say is the noise from the traffic at night time. We didn’t expect it to be as loud as it was but we did get used to it on the second night. Would definitely come back and recommend the cottage for anyone wanting to explore the moors and Whitby.

By far the most immaculate and up to date property we've ever stayed in .

Beautiful decor, everything new, spotless modern kitchen and bathroom and the cottage was very warm and comfortable. I walked in and literally went..."wow". All modern appliances and really happy and comfortable here for our short break. Good to be on one level too and parking space so close to property as one of us has mobility problems. Also some pleasant outdoor space and furniture , also washing line with pegs and iron and board all provided. The dog walking fields are fantastic too as I could literally just take her a decent walk from the door. Only gripe was I found the proximity to main road difficult as the noise of traffic was an issue for me but not my partner who it didn't bother at all....to be fair I should have realised this but it was a busier road than I was expecting. Also walking to the Spar is a little bit scary as no proper footpath but it is literally only 5 minutes walk which is brilliant. Very minor issues with cottage were absence of a bottle opener/Cork screw but friendly lady at reception helped us with that and said to leave it in drawer in cottage which we did. Also some salt and pepper either in sachets or in the empty cruet pots in cupboard would have been really welcome. We had to buy dishwasher tablets as not one provided ...but we left half a dozen to help the next occupants. But these are minor points and just our experience....not criticisms just niggles. Overall though honestly this cottage was pretty spot on and well located for touring area and highly recommended!

The cottage needs a gate to the side to make the front area totally secure when having dogs with you.

Some comfortable furniture would also be nice to be able to sit outside. The inside is immaculate and very comfortable....
