“We had a fantastic stay at Sandy Shore.”

The accommodation is in a brilliant location, right across the road from the beach, which was perfect for us. The private parking directly outside was a real bonus, especially as it was Race the Waves weekend and the area was extremely busy. Communication before our stay was excellent, with plenty of useful information provided, including details about road closures during the weekend. The lovely couple who run Sandy Shore live in the main house and were very friendly, welcoming and always ...

The accommodation is in a brilliant location, right across the road from the beach, which was perfect for us. Communication before our stay was excellent, with plenty of useful information provided, including details about road closures during the weekend. The lovely couple who run Sandy Shore live in the main house and were very friendly, welcoming and always happy to have a chat. The accommodation itself was lovely — bright, light and airy, very well looked after, and extremely comfortable. The large leather sofa and recliner were perfect for relaxing after a busy day. The kitchen was also a great size and very well equipped with everything we needed for our stay. Overall, we had a really enjoyable stay and would definitely recommend Sandy Shore. A great place to stay in a fantastic location!

“Very pleasant, spacious and clean apartment and very well equipped.”

Hosts were attentive but not intrusive and lived in the same large building. Very close, 50m away, to dog friendly south Bridlington beach with miles of sand. Northwards around town only allows dogs on beaches after end of September to April. Town within reasonable walking distance on the promenade. All in all excellent accommodation and good value.

“Fantastic stay, description was accurate about how close it was to the beach but still couldn’t believe it when we got there!”

It’s so close, was absolutely blown away (as was our dog!). Really well equipped and cosy, perfect size for the two of us and our dog. Bumped into the owners a couple of times who were both really friendly and welcoming. I think we’ll definitely be back, couldn’t have been happier.

We have stayed here before and loved it, so we had to come back again and we will again , it’s clean and spacious, with everything you need to make your stay comfortable, it’s right across the road from the beach , we had lots of days out going to York, Flamborough, Whitby, Hornsea , and of course around Bridlington , it was just wonderful and we’ll certainly be back again soon

“The accommodation was very good very clean Everything you really need.”

I suppose in the kitchen there could have been more glass bowls large kitchen knife. Bread knife. But that is just my thoughts.still a great place to stay. hosts are nice people. I would recommend this apartment to anyone

“Sandy Shore was in an excellent spot just across the road from the South beach.”

It was great to have off road parking and it was an easy level walk into Bridlington. The apartment had lovely large rooms and was well appointed with everything we needed for our stay. I would have liked softer pillows but that's my personal preference. We visited Flamborough North landing, Flamborough Head, Bempton Cliffs we saw puffins, seals a plenty and dolphins. We visited Bridlington animal park, Bridlington Priory Church & the Bayle museum & Scarborough. Our hosts were very accommodating in allowing us to check in early which was much appreciated. We really enjoyed our stay.

“Absolutely loved our week stay at Sandy Shore what a gem of a place.”

My husband has many health issues to be so close to the sea and walking very flat was fantastic for us. We felt relaxed the minute we walked through the door. Sandy has everything you could possibly need and very clean. We didn't meet the owners wished we had just to say thank-you. We came home knowing we will book again and our 2 dachshund had the best time. Definitely a 10/10 from us.

“I had a wonderful holiday and break at Sandy Shore.”

The communication before and during my stay was kind and easy with the owners who want you to enjoy your time there and relax. The location is fantastic, a stone’s throw from the beach yet quiet and peaceful too. Being a ground floor property was perfect for my needs with no stairs. The accommodation is spacious and extremely comfortable. It is furnished tastefully. The bedroom faces away from the road which is perfect for sleeping easily. There was a brilliant big smart TV in the lounge already into logged into Netflix for guests, which is a kind gesture. The bed is one of the most comfortable for sleeping you can wish for. Instant hot water and heating too - the time of year made that factor most welcome. There are full kitchen facilities, including a separate washer and dryer for clothes which is a bonus. I would love to return again now I’ve found Sandy Shore.

Hi, apologies that you were unhappy with some elements of the apartment. We were available at anytime during your stay and could have provided help and support. The right hand side French door needed pulling to and locking which would have solved the issue. In terms of the spiders, the property itself is over 100 years old and cellar spiders are something we are continuously trying to keep on top of. We will discuss this with our cleaning team so that this will no longer be a problem in the future. We also note that you had requested smaller glasses for “shorts” and a “smaller frying pan” in your feedback in the visitors book in property. We provide wine glasses, flute glasses and tumblers have found this has generally been sufficient. Thank you for your feedback. Property Owner

“On arrival i met my very friendly host, Paige.”

The heating and lights were on and it was lovely and warm. The facilities were outstanding, every appliance in the kitchen that you could wish for. ... dog bowls and towels are provided if needed. A big bonus for me was the bath and hot water at all times. Location,.... well,you could almost fall out of bed onto the beach, LOL. I use Sykes frequently 10 out of 10 ti them! Xx

“Second time staying here, once again found the apartment very clean upon arrival, easy check in using key safe, we had a dog with us and there was even bowls and a towel provided for him.”

It is in a great location, literally straight over the road to the seafront which has a great promenade and dog friendly beach. Apartment is a good size very comfortable lounge area, and very comfortable bed too. Great that it has off road spacious parking area, and whilst we we staying some of our family visited for the day and Paige the owner let them also park on the drive which was much appreciated. Wouldn't hesitate to to stay here again.

“Sandy Shore is a real home from home which included everything you need while holidaying there & the only thing that spoilt it was last 3 days of our weekly stay quite a few channels on lounge tv lost their signal due to a common problem around Bridlington where we couldn't watch our favourite programmes but apart from that I highly recommend!”

Thank you for your kind review and apologies regarding the television. As you say this is a common problem in the area when there is high pressure in the atmosphere (usually in extreme weather). To combat this, we do pay for a Netflix account and you can access your own accounts on other streaming apps too. We’re glad you enjoyed your stay otherwise. Property Owner

“Lovely presented apartment ideally situated next to the south beach which was perfect for dog walking.”

Bridlington town was only a 15 minute stroll along the prom. The apartment is very comfortable and well equipped. We spent the evenings looking out to sea and saw the dolphins on most nights. Would highly recommend and would book again.

The seaside resort of Bridlington lies on the east coast of Yorkshire, south of Scarborough and Filey.
