Lovely house got everything you needed for your holiday not far to the beach plenty of shops and Lovely parks for dog walkers

The property was clean, well-maintained and comfortable.

It was well-equipped and had everything we needed during our stay. It was in an ideal position for the town centre, supermarket and beach. Nick, the owner, was very friendly and helpful. Considering the position and facilities, it was excellent value for money.

Had a lovely stay at Elizabeth House.

Plenty room for our family of 5 and pet. Perfectly situated for shops and plenty of places to eat. Park just across road for kids and larger park short walk around corner. Value for money and have already booked again for next year.

On arrival the house looked and smelt clean.

A lovely welcome pack of coffee, tea, sugar, milk and a double pack of chocolate biscuits. In the lounge a box of roses. The whole house was exceptionally clean. The furniture was very comfortable. The kitchen was very well equipped. The beds were very comfortable and the bed linen was of a very high standard. Bathroom spotless. There were fresh flowers dotted around the house which was such a nice touch. Parking was in the back yard i did not use it as I parked on the road but I could have got my kia ceed in there with no problem. The only downside was the front garden, some of the bushes were over grown which made getting to the front door a little difficult with the dog as the bushes were over growing the pathway, but that was the only problem I had. The park by the house was great for walking your dog and for getting to the shops. Overall the house was one of the most comfortable places I have stayed, it felt very homely and welcoming. I recommend Elizabeth House highly.

Parking a little tricky but manageable even with our small 7 seater. Addition of dog towels and bowls a nice touch for furry visitors.

This is our 4th stay here in past 8 yrs + We have always found Elizabeth House to be great place to stay.

Very comfortable and excellent location for families and pets to enjoy the local amenities. Everything is on the doorstep with pubs cafes restaurants shops parks and the beech all within walking distance. The owner Nick has always been available to contact and happy to provide advice on the area if needed.

Great place, had everything as described, very comfortable throughout.

Only possible issue for some might be parking, not always space nearby and none due to double yellows outside so shopping delivery needs thought. Perfect for dogs though with secure rear garden, owners have even provided a cupboard with poo bags, dishes, toys and treats in seperate kitchen cupboard near back door. Also provided was a welcome pack including lots of chocolates for the humans. Thank you for a wonderful stay, highly recommend.

We loved the property and have booked for two weeks next year.

The house was spotless, comfy beds and all the equipment one needs in a home. Nick is an excellent host who came out immediately to sort a problem for us. Would highly recommend.

Elizabeth House is in a good location just a short walk to the beach and the main street in Hornsea where there are plenty of places to eat and drink and most are dog friendly The house is very well equipped with everything needed for a relaxing stay and the welcome pack was 1st class Nick the owner even rang before the holiday to see if there was anything we needed very thoughtful we will definitely be coming back .

Elizabeth Cottage was the perfect location to enjoy a week away.

2 Adults and 2 dogs. House was spotlessly clean. Fresh flowers, tea, coffee & biscuits waiting for you on arrival. Beds super comfortable and a nice sunny garden. Located at one end of the Main Street and perfectly located to walk into town or thru the park to the beach. The people in Hornsea are so friendly and really helpful with ideas of places to visit. Could not recommend this cottage highly enough.

Excellent week in Hornsea.

Elizabeth House was located perfectly. spotlessly clean on arrival, fresh flowers in all the rooms and a generous welcome pack greeted us. The rooms were a good size and had everything we could possibly want or think of. Free parking on the side street and having taken 2 cars we never struggled to park up. We were able to reverse up a small rear drive to unpack. The area was perfect for exploring - 2 local parks (with playgrounds)for early morning dog walks. 15 minutes stiroll through the town to the sea. Excellent variety of interesting shops. The sea front was clean and dog friendly to the right hand side. 3 pubs and an excellent war bar on the doorstep. The Italian was great as was Mas Indian. The Mere was beautiful and we did the 10k walk around it. We explored and would recommend Spurn head ( no dogs) and Flambourgh head . The fish & chips at the lighthouse in flambourgh village were amazing, though Lilys in the town were also very good. A super week , fabulous house, friendly helpful owners - highly recommend

Our second visit to Elizabeth house, a home from home, convenient for everything in Hornsea .

Elizabeth House is the perfect holiday home, with everything needed to make it an enjoyable stay.

Our grandchildren loved their stay, come rain or shine and say 'thank you for the Easter Eggs' and thank you Nick for the thoughtful welcome pack and flowers. And, as usual, Elizabeth House and Hornsea gets a big thumbs up from us all !

Fantastic stay!

Very comfortable and characterful house with traditional furnishings and fittings, tastefully decorated and decent sized rooms. Centrally located with easy access to parks, Hornsea Mere, town centre and seafront. Very thoughtful welcome packages, especially for the children! Many thanks to owner, Nick, for his friendly advice and sound knowledge!

It's taken me such a long time to write this.

We absolutely loved our stay here. We hope to one day move to hornsea. Elizabeth cottage will hold a special place in my heart. Sadly my beloved dog decided it was Time To go to heaven on his holidays here,i hope hes running on the beach. The vets in the centre were amazing so anyone with a dog rest assured. The property has everything. I can't rate it enough.

Loverly cottage but bad for parking

This was our third year at this wonderful holiday home with our grandchildren and once again it did not disappoint.

With a lovely welcome pack awaiting us and beautiful weather to enjoy what more could we ask for. So once again, it's a big thumbs up from us all, including the dog who enjoyed her welcome pack too.

Lovely property a short distance from the centre of Hornsea.

The owner Nick was very welcoming and on hand if needed for minor maintenance issues such as a problem with one of the kitchen lights. The welcome pack was a nice touch, as was being told in advance what was in it so we needn't buy such items. The house is very well equipped and the beds comfortable. It was spotlessly clean and the small back garden nicely maintained. We had 3 cars and found no problem parking nearby on the street. Only Downside was the road noise as no double glazing but we had earplugs so still slept well!

Our first stay since 2018 and still as good as ever.

Lovely homely cottage in excellent location. Can't fault it and we will return if it's not already fully booked. I thought about giving some negative feedback so we can keep cottage for ourselves but that might have prevented other families from such a delightful stay Big thanks to owner Nick

A lovely clean and comfortable house with everything you could need.

Lovely fresh flowers and chocolates awaited us on our arrival along with tea and coffee. Thankyou very much to Nick. If I have one criticism it is just that the house is on a very busy main road and the noise is very loud from about 6am in the morning and as the windows are only single glazed you hear everything. It wouldn’t put us off returning though.

Weather was snowing but we had good time at this cottage.

Almost everything was of highest standard. We visited Hull and surrounding areas, went to Il Divo concert, we were so happy. Would have been better if the main bedroom had a bigger bed just for overweight couple like me and my wifey. Otherwise top class and good location. Thanks

The house was really clean and nice furnishings.

Very steep stairs to the second double bedroom but we were forewarned. No hair dryer which would have been appreciated, otherwise there was everything you could want. Very central three pubs within 2 minutes walk, easy to find perfect.

This was our second year at Elizabeth House and we couldn't fault it.

We had a lovely holiday at Elizabeth House.

We have stayed there before too. Very clean and comfortable. The house is very well equipped and in a good location. Close to the shops and a 10/15 minute walk to the beach. Would definitely go back again.

Well maintained Victorian property, plenty of space for 5 adults, the dogs loved it too, warm and friendly in the village large tesco close by, even got to try the local fish and chips last night of the stay, everything from extra lightbulbs to extra pillows and blankets with a thoughtful welcome pack and flowers.

We came on holiday with our grandchildren and we were very happy with the facilities offered at Elizabeth House.

It is a comfortable holiday home with plenty of room. With Hall Garth Park, a play park, Hornsea Mere and the beach all within walking distance it was a holiday the grandchildren enjoyed, which means it's a big thumbs up from all of us.

Lovely house with everything we needed.

However, we are not impressed by the builders gutting the house attached to us (row of terraced properties) This started outside mid week through our stay- noisily filling a skip at the rear garage 8am onwards, the following day banging inside the house and they also arrived on the Friday am and started work. We did not expect to pay over £1,000 for a holiday home to be disturbed by builders. We were unable to sit outside for those 3 mornings for breakfast.

Lovely house and great location.

Short walk to shops, pubs and the sea front. Owner was 10/10 with communication and very helpful. All tea, coffee and condiments were there for us which lasted the week and also enough toilet paper too!

There is strictly no parking at the back of the house and this needs updating.

Yiu can only use the back entrance for loading and unloading. It is on a busy road and the traffic is noisy. Double glazing would help, certainly in the front bedroom. Towels were provided but were rather small. Kitchen is well equipped. Owner helpful and allowed us to take three dogs.

There is no parking up the narrow alleyway at the back of the house.

This should be removed from the description. This is the only drawback to this lovely property which we have visited 4 times. We managed to get a slot up the nearby street but parking tight and we dare not move our car for the duration of the holiday.

Excellent location for park, shops, bars and beach.

Very dog friendly. No problem parking. Not used to road noise but soon got used to it. We would return again due to its proximity to everything you need on foot. Had great holiday.

It is our 2nd time at Elizabeth house and we love the area and the house is very roomy and comfortable.

It is great that we can take our dog and there are lovely dog walks round the corner from the house. We will be back.

The house itself is lovely and generally well equipped.

The kitchen had everything we could’ve possibly needed. One small but very useful addition to the property would be a clothes airer - the weather was so bad we couldn’t hang washing on the line. Well situated for the Mere and the town and only a ten minute walk to the seafront. A lovely welcome pack was provided and very much appreciated (great to have a cup of tea after a long drive and not even need to unpack) and it was nice to have the bird feeders in the garden that had obviously been filled before we arrived. We loved watching the sparrows have their breakfast whilst we had ours. The only disappointing thing (and it’s quite a big thing) is that there is no off-street parking. The listing suggests that this is available and it was definitely one of my criteria when looking for a holiday rental. I have an autistic son and off-street parking makes it safer for him and easier for me. We managed the situation ok but I really think this amenity needs to be removed from the listing - we were able to pull up behind the house to unload but then had to find on street parking and with double yellow lines in front of the property it meant trying to find a space in a side street, often a few minutes walk from the property.

This house is wonderful, lots of space, lovely and clean.

The owner had left us coffee, tea + milk plus lots of loo rolls and cleaning things which was very thoughtful. The property was very close to the town centre and an easy walk to the seafront. I would recommend this property to anyone.

Within walking distance of Hornsea mere and the beach Although we all really enjoyed the holiday I think the dog enjoyed it the most due to the location and all the fantastic places to walk Would highly recommend and will definitely be back in the future

Elizabeth House was a great place to stay in Hornsea.

Although on a main road, it wasn't noisy and was extremely well situated to walk into town, the park and the sea front. The house has every that you need, was spotlessly clean and very warm and comfortable ( we visited in January). Would definitely recommend.

Fantastic large, comfortable house in a great location.

Stayed here as a party of 6, 3 generations and the house suited us all perfectly. Plenty of space, room for us all to sit comfortably in the sitting room and round the table. Nice, big bedrooms. Very well equipped kitchen, not that you need to us it! So many pubs, restaurants, cafes and takeaways within 5 minutes walk. Hornsea really has everything you could want right on the doorstep of this house. It's not possible to park at the property but we had no problem parking 2 vehicles on the next side street only a minutes walk away. Our children loved the play park, skate park and zip wire in Hall Garth Park, and also visits to Bugtopia, The Deep and 10 pin bowling.

Complimentary tea coffee biscuits and milk and fresh flowers in the living room when we arrived.

Elizabeth House is a well presented property that made an ideal base for our visit to the area.

Hornsea, with all its amenities, is a short walk away - the best way to the seafront is through a park, ideal for the dogs. The only minor quibble is the curtains in the main bedroom let in too much light - but then we're used to a blackout blind at home... All in all an enjoyable stay,

Excellent accommodation but no designated parking you have to take pot luck up a side street nearby.

However Mr King did give us alternative parking nearby.

Lovely house, very clean, everything you could possibly need and Nick is friendly you only have to give him a ring if you have any problems.

The house is in a good position you only have to walk a few mins and your beside pubs, restaurants, butchers ,bakers,co op and a big Tesco is just up the road.

Perfect location for anyone without a car, everything is either a short walk or taxi away.

It was spotlessly clean , extremely comfortable and in a great place for beach , park and village . Four bedrooms , all well furnished and a kitchen with everything we could possibly need . There were fresh flowers on the dining table , coffee ,tea , biscuits and milk all there ready for us . Two TVs , games , dvds all available ..... all this and fabulous walks for the dogs . We would not hesitate to have another holiday in Elizabeth House and would recommend it to all comers . Thank you Nick xx

The cottage was big and comfortable and well prepared with every need catered for.

It was bigger on the inside than it looked on the outside. A veritable tardis !!!!!!!! A wonderful place to rest your weary head after a day out and about.

It was advertised as Parking for small car, but could not get my Micra in because of a clematis climbing all over the gates.

It either needs chopping down or parking removed from advert.

This cottage is excellent.

We were there over the New Year period and the Christmas decorations were a very elegant surprise. The cottage was exceptionally clean and had all the comforts of a family home. Great attention to detail by the owners.

The cottage was excellent, comfortable, dog safe, well equipped and exactly where we wanted to be.

The welcome pack was very much appreciated after a five hour drive, don't often get them nowadays.

What did we enjoy most?

So hard to say! The house was gorgeous; huge rooms, spotlessly clean, homely, full of so many kitchen implements - pots, pans, plates, glasses etc.... double what normally have so weren't always washing up - dishwasher anyway, welcome pack unexpected but very welcone after long journey. The setting was wonderful, so close to hornsea centre and seafront - walked everywhere and didn't use car for 4days. Beach beautiful, even swam in sea. In fact, we swam, jogged, rowed on the mere, walked and beach combed every day and all loved it. It was a delightful house which lead to a perfect family holiday. Can't wait to come again. The Wright's (Bristol), the Morgan's (Lincs) and the Hales (Herts).
