The Beach Retreat

Absolutely beautiful property!

The care and details the owner has put into it are clear as it’s well maintained and gorgeously decorated. All amenities have been thought out so that it’s a home from home experience. Will definitely be staying again!

Well what can I say from the start to the finish brilliant.

It was a last-minute booking and the lady who owns the house sent all the details and gave lots of useful information and couldn’t have been more helpful. She was very informative and very friendly now for the house. It was beautiful from the moment I stepped in the door it was spotlessly clean well equipped with everything you need very spacious very modern but very cozy. We really enjoyed our stay and maybe we’ll come back again one day but we’re planning on getting a dog. I would recommend to anybody and have done to all my friends parking was close by and it wasn’t a problem. This is how it should be done great from start to finish and such a friendly owner thank you caz for everything big a shout out for the cleaner you did a fantastic job. Denise and Terry.

We had a lovely week at the Beach Retreat, everything was as advertised and the additional information on the house and local area was great.

The property has everything you could need and was very clean and well presented - would definitely love to visit again in the future!

Our party of 6 (multi generational) were all impressed with the property.

The house was well equipped, clean and modern. The welcome pack was appreciated thank you. The on-site facilities, including a heated indoor swimming pool, a steam room and sauna were included at no extra cost. A 10 minute walk from the beach. Caroline was an excellent host and communicated really professionally, providing a lot of local information and guidance. Happy to recommend and may well return in the future.

A wonderful Easter Break at the Beach Retreat, The Bay, Filey.

Absolutely excellent accommodation, everything we could wish for and what a lovely touch from the owners Caroline & Nick leaving Easter Eggs for the Grandchildren in our welcome pack, together with a nice bottle of wine for the adults! Ten minute walk to the beautiful beach, onsite facilities were great and the children swam in the indoor pool each day. Filey never disappoints and we will definitely be back to stay at the fantastic Beach Retreat. Thank you very much!

We had contact from Caroline and Nick helping us to find the cottage and very interseting things about the house and the Filey area which was appreciated.

. When we arrived at The Beach Retreat it was just as we expected - very clean and very well maintained. We also found it to be very comfortable and everything we required, even down to the binoculars for looking out over the fields to the back of the cottage. The bedrooms were very cleaqn and comfortable for us all. Lots of space downstairs for a family of 6. The area behind the house was ideal for everyone especially for the grandchildren to have their own space and then to explore along a path for a very pleasant walk to the cliff top and then to the beach. Thank you for allowing us to share your Beach Retreat. Very much appreciated. If we require a place for all our family in the future we certainly will return to Beach Retreat. Keith, Margaret, Rachel and grandchildren.

The property was exactly as described, and was one of, if not the cleanest property we have stayed in!

The owner contacted me personally to confirm that we could have early access if required (excellent). We will definitely return.

The owners were so welcoming, introducing themselves before the trip and giving very useful information about the property, the complex and the area around.

The property is lovely, in a great place on site, 2 mins from the pub, shop and swimming pool complex, and a lovely walk down to the beach. We had some mixed weather with rain in the evening, but great sunny days which made the stay even better. The beach is beautiful with miles of sand to walk on. Thank you C and N, its a lovely home from home.

I would like to say we had a bit of trouble with the dishwasher on the last day I loaded it with pots put a detergent table in and switched it on but it failed to clean the pots.

so we had so we left the dishwasher full of pots . I do not know if it cleaned them .we had no trouble with it previously so it did not Spoil our perfect holiday hoping to book your cottage again. I would certainly recommend the cottage. Terry.

The Beach Retreat has everything you could wish for in a holiday cottage.

The description on booking was exactly as we found it and it has the advantage of being part of the Filey bay resort which is first class. A brilliant location and base for visiting all the main resorts on the Yorkshire coast.

Upmarket holiday village with high quality houses.

Nice to be near pool and tennis courts which can be used for free. Beautiful beach and coastal walk on doorstep. Owner very friendly friendly and helpful

The property was ideal for us, 4 adults & two young children.

The property was very well equipped & a stair gate was provided for the little ones. Highly recommended.

Had a lovely week at The Beach Retreat.

The property is well outfitted and very clean, instructions from first contact were accurate and timely, owner was very helpful when required. I would definitely recommend this property and would visit again.

Absolutely amazing holiday home, loved our stay here - spotlessly clean, assortment of games, books, Nintendo switch which the kids enjoyed.

We will definitely be booking again. Thank you so much

A real home from home.

Everything we needed was there to make us feel at home so we could concentrate on a great week of family time

This was an excellent property to visit.

Before we arrived the owner made contact and ensured we had everything we needed . She even guided us towards the local events in the area tht week. On arrival at the cottage it was warm, clean, feaures and fittings were of a high standard. there was everything that we needed in the cottage for a 3 generational family. We all felt comfortable and as though we had gone away to a little luxury. The welcome pack was greatly appreciated. The area was within walking distance of a beach and close to other local attractions and amenities. Thank you

Well located close to beach and leisure facilities.

Owner was helpful when we had difficulty erecting a travel cot. Property was clean, well presented, parking close by, and very quiet location. Would recommend this holiday property.

If you're looking for a beautiful, comfortable, clean holiday home with amazing views and a quiet spot, you'll love The Beach Retreat.

Our second visit and we can't wait to go back!

Excellent accommodation.

Only problem no instructions for washing machine etc.

First class accommodation lovely and clean well thought out felt like home it’s our 2 stay will be booking for next yr.

We took our grandchildren to the Beach Retreat for a week.

The house was well equipped, clean and very close to the beach. Our grandchildren, aged 4 and 8 loved it. They couldn't believe how close the beach was. The owners, Caroline and Nick let us know when the property was ready for us and checked we had everything we needed. We would definitely recommend the Beach Retreat and can't wait to stay there again.

This property was spotlessly clean and really well equipped.

When there was an issue I just contacted Caroline and it was sorted immediately. I would recommend this property to anyone. This is an outstanding property! We will be back!

Where do I start.

We had a great time staying in this home from home. We had a lovely warm welcome and Caroline is so helpful. The house was very clean when we arrived and downstairs is such a great space to chill, cook, watch movies or play games. Having access to the leisure centre was great and all the facilities are a stone throw away. It's a lovely walk down to the beach and a very pleasant walk into Filey. I can't rate the Beach Retreat enough, I've been in a lot of homes / cottages through Sykes, but this has to be up there with the very best. I would happily stay at Beach Retreat again. Thank you Caroline for making our holiday perfect! See you again sometime ❤️

A lovely property with three spacious double bedrooms, a well-equipped kitchen and French doors opening onto a south-facing patio and communal lawn, not overlooked at the rear.

Caroline, the owner, is very helpful and provided a welcome pack that included a bottle of very decent white wine. The house is just a two-minute walk from the on-site pub (very good meals!) and shop, and three minutes from the leisure centre. The beach is maybe a ten-minute walk away, but it's worth the trek - miles of sand, and a couple of WW2 'pill boxes'. The towns of Filey, Scarborough and Bridlington are within easy reach, by bus as well as car. Four adults and a four-year-old boy had a great week there.

We really enjoyed our stay at The Beach Retreat.

The host, Caroline, was most helpful & accommodating; the information about the very well equipped property (including binoculars!) was accurate, the cleanliness was exceptional, and we’d certainly consider staying again if revisiting Filey with our family. The only disappointment was we didn’t see any puffins, so we probably will have to stay again!

Brilliant property

We've just returned from a last minute break at ' the Beach'.

The property is very well equipped and warm and welcoming. Having access to the leisure activities was great and we made good use of the pool. Beautiful location, lots of lovely beaches and places to explore. The owners give lots of useful information and are really responsive if you've any questions. We can't wait to go back and would highly recommend this property.

Very well equipped and comfortable

A lovely home away from home.

A fantastic property with great facilities, had everything you could possibly need and more. Fantastic location, just a short walk to the beach and lovely views out the back of the house and so many things to do and see in the surrounding area. The owners were extremely helpful and friendly throughout.

We had an amazing stay at The Beach Retreat.

Such a lovely house - clean, bright and well equipped. Perfect spot, close to the beach, the meadow/fields and with a lovely view. The owner is very helpful and provided everything you could need. Sad to leave and return to the city......we'll be back!

Had a great time at The Beach Retreat, lovely location within The Bay with fab views out the back.

Would definitely visit this cottage again.

Absolutely amazing place to stay for the weekend.

All mod cons, really was like a home from home. Will definitely return

Just returned home from a weeks stay at The Beach Retreat atThe Bay, Filey.

This house is home from home, it has everything you could possibly need. Fantastic kitchen area, beautiful living room with plenty of seating for our family of 6, games and Nintendo switches. The 3 bedrooms are lovely, and are so comfortable, the en-suite in the front bedroom is a good size too. Lovely views at the back of the house, and very convenient for the pub, activities and beach. We had a lovely holiday, and we can definitely recommend a stay at The Beach Retreat. We will definitely be back. Thankyou Carole & Family

We arrived back yesterday after a 12 day stay at the "Beach Retreat" the house is lovely and so well equipped with everything you need to enjoy your holiday and when we walked in we were delighted with all the rooms and how clean and fresh (lovely smelling) everywhere was.

There is a lovely view from the back bedrooms over a wildflower meadow and the beds were really comfortable, good wardrobe space with plenty of coat hangers ( Thank you) The new owners are lovely, when Sykes informed me the house had new ownership I felt a little bit concerned but I had no need to be, we received a really nice introductory text and Caroline and Nick could not have been more helpful, sending us information on the house and the surrounding area....we will definitely be back!

We have just returned from a lovely stay at the Beach Retreat.

The house is beautiful, very clean and smells amazing! It is well equipped and the owners have thought of everything you could possibly need for your stay. The games consoles are a great addition for keeping the teenagers amused. The owners are lovely and sent us lots of information of things to do on site and in the surrounding area before our holiday. The Bay is a peaceful, well kept site with access to the beach. We hope to go back again soon.

This is a modern, airy and well provisioned accommodation in an excellent location for access to the Yorkshire coastline and is located very close to Filey.

The site is well maintained and has shop, pharmacy, indoor swimming pool and tennis courts. We had a family holiday and although the weather was a bit mixed, we had a very good week taking in Filey, Scarborough and Bridlington and the brilliant Fairground Museum just down the road. We also enjoyed a couple of very good evening meals at the on-site pub. The accomodation owners were extremely helpful and provided very good communication and information about our stay. A great accommodation for a traditional British seaside holiday. We will definitely be back.

The new owners communication prior the the holiday was detailed and enabled us to settle in quickly.

The house is spotlessly clean and very comfortable, making it home from home - particularly welcome was a the games consoles to keep the children entertained when the weather took a turn for the worst. The all important beds were extremely comfortable and the bathrooms hygienic clean. All in all an outstanding property in a lovely part of the country.
