The property

Positioned in the heart of the historic village of Hunmanby, a stone's throw from the glistening waters of the North Sea, rests this wonderful four-bedroom holiday home, Courtyard Cottage.

Enjoying close proximity to a wealth of must-see sights and attractions, including Flamborough Headland Heritage Coast and the bustling resort of Scarborough, Courtyard Cottage makes an excellent base from which to explore the delights of North Yorkshire.

Park up on the roadside and make your way inside this wonderful abode to begin your staycation, dusting off your sandy toes and unloading your belongings into the handy hallway upon entry.

A lengthy journey calls for rest, so kick back and unwind with a steaming cup of tea and a sumptuous spot in front of the television, gently warming your toes with the crackle of the woodburning stove in the cooler months.

As stomachs start to rumble, make your way into the well-equipped kitchen, where an elegant island takes centre stage, providing a sociable spot to share a glass of wine as the designated chef gets to work on preparing a hearty meal to be enjoyed in the adjoining dining room.

If you're not ready for the fun to end, carry the conversation outdoors and soak in the last of the evening sunshine with your favourite tipple in the enclosed rear garden, or head upstairs, pour in the bubbles and indulge in a blissful soak with a good book in hand in the bathroom.

Four well-presented bedrooms can be found set across the way, with two sumptuous king-size rooms, a twin and an intimate single, whilst an additional shower room is settled on the ground floor, ideal for larger groups!

Enjoying a central location within the village of Hunmanby, you'll find a wealth of amenities nestled on your doorstep; treat your loved ones to a bite to eat at The Cottage Inn, pick up a delicious takeaway to enjoy from the comfort of your holiday home at the Captain's Table, or stock up on goodies at the local Co-op.

For a unique experience, tour the Spirit of Yorkshire Distillery, where adults can sample Yorkshires first single malt whisky, whilst those who prefer craft ales may prefer a tour of the Wold Top Brewery.

Be sure to pack your trunks and head to the pristine sands to The Bay Beach, providing an idyllic setting to bask in the summer sunshine, build sandcastles or simply paddle the shores.

If you'd prefer to stay on land, travel north along the coast to Filey, where you can explore Filey Museum, enjoy a leisurely stroll through the vibrant grounds of Glen Gardens, or come face-to-face with wildlife from across the world at the Filey Bird Garden and Animal Park.

The bustling resort of Scarborough is a must-visit whilst you're in the area, with its glorious beaches, amusement parks and golf club, whilst the towering woodland of the North Riding Forest Park is a great alternative for those looking to escape the hustle and bustle.
