First class little cottage in a picture postcard village.

Stayed at this cottage for the first time this week ,we had stayed in this lovely friendly ,quaint village a couple of years ago ,The cottage sits on the edge of the pretty green just as you enter into the village .

everything was exactly as advertised it was so cosy ,comfortable and homely it had everything you would need (and more)for your stay . Lots of interesting information on the cottage ,village,surrounding area and beyond. We met the owners which was nice they are lovely and very helpful , we had a great break and will definatly be back, sometime this year.hopefully

It's a lovely warm and welcoming cottage, with an enclosed garden for our dog. Great location in the village as it's very quiet and there's parking at the door. Hutton Rudby is well-placed for exploring other areas.

Beautiful village. Cottage was clean, spacious and well equipped with comfy beds. We enjoyed the DVD selection and loved the yummy treats in the generous welcome basket, thank you! Our daughter was very happy with her room and absolutely loved Barnaby the singing Halloween cat. Would love to visit again in the future. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

It's in a great location within the village. Very quiet with nice views over the green. It's warm and comfortable with an enclosed garden for our dog.

This is a little gem of a cottage in a village which would make the cotswolds look shabby.

The Wheatsheaf sells first class beer and the shop sells everything else! Recommended.

Already booked our next stay! Lovely place, spotlessly clean and well equipted even down to dog bed bowls and doggy towel. Lovely quiet quaint village with lots of lovely walks about. Owners are fab and friendly. Comfy beds and fluffy towels, nicely decorated and furnished. Lovely welcome pack even down to dog treats.

An excellent property, amazing kitchen with so much equipment, so you can prepare food so easily, which can be unusual in some properties.

It's a spacious property inside and out for a cottage, absolutely spotless, cosy, very comfortable, masses of hot water, and very easy parking. The owners are so helpful if a problem could arise, and the decor is to a high standard, great choices of everything. No wonder this cottage is always booked, we're hoping to return one day if it's actually vacant, which could be a miracle, which shows how good this property is, just desserts for the owners efforts to present such a lovely place in a delightful village which has a good shop and pleasant pubs. A perfect situation for exploring and visiting different venues. We've used many properties in the area, approx 10 miles round about from thus venue, and it's exceptional.

Lovely property and beautiful location.

Only one slight criticism, only 4 mugs, plates etc, so constant washing up! Otherwise, a well thought out kitchen.

We love this cottage.

Location and facilities are both excellent. On this occasion we did find the lounge door handle needed repair, but we had no other problems whatsoever.

Beautifully presented cottage with everything you need for a great holiday base.

Located in a lovely village with a great pub The Wheatsheaf serving good food 100 yards away & a large local Spar supermarket with petrol station a short distance away in the opposite direction. Pet friendly secure garden & off road parking right outside. We will certainly return!

Two pubs and a shop within walking distance. Locals seem to be very friendly and welcoming. Plenty of places to visit within an hour.

Wonderful holiday, house immaculate and spotless, comfy beds quality linen, fluffy towels.

Everything for the dog bed pad towel bowls even a pack of treats. Lovely welcome hamper and milk in the fridge. Safe enclosed rear garden and an outside bonus toilet. Neighbours are lovely as is the host Kim.Situated perfectly as a base saltburn some 20 miles away guisborough 12miles lovely forrest walk on the way there. Helmsley is lovely walled garden is worth a visit but closed mon tues. Stokesly lovely aprox 3 miles away. Fish and chip van visits wed aprox 5pm food is great. The chinese in stokesley the china wok we didnt enjoy and wont go again but thats down to our personal taste you may like it.. already booked our next holiday here.

We had a lovely holiday at barnaby cottage, helped by having great weather.

The cottage was spotless, very well maintained with good quality fixtures and fittings ensuring you had everything needed for a comfortable cosy stay. It is located in a charming village with two nice pubs, or local church cafe, opening in the afternoon, a good shop (spar) with petrol. There are walks around the village, national trusts nearby, and a nice ride to the coast if preferred. All in all a perfect cottage for a nice break away in north Yorkshire. The only thing I would suggest is blackout curtains/blinds in the bedroom. Well done to the owners, and would fully recommend.

Barnaby Cottage experience has been a wonderful break for us, providing everything you could possibly need ( and more) in a very comfortable holiday let.

Perfect for 2/3 plus dog in a really picturesque village location of Hutton Rudby. Parking available outside the property and lovely views over the Village Green. Plenty of outside space to the back of the property which was fully enclosed and so ideal for dogs!! Walks on your doorstep and plenty of towns and villages nearby again for walking/ sight seeing. Drive to the coast in less than a hour :Redcar, Marske and Saltburn and not much further to Staithes ,Runswick Bay and Whitby. The property owner kindly left us a lovely welcome hamper and was on hand should we have needed her ( which we didn’t) One of the best rentals we have visited and will look to return .Thanks

The village was extremely pretty and everyone very friendly both village pubs were very good especially the Wheatsheaf were we had dinner twice Friday steak night was excellent value and good quality food

A very warm and comfortable stay in Barnaby Cottage, perfect for our visits to family.

The owners were very welcoming and even left us a Christmas card!

Barnaby Cottage is really cute (people who know me know that I can give no higher compliment to a girl, a car or a place) and it's in one of the prettiest villages in England.

The cottage is a few minutes easy walk from two pubs, both warm and cosy and both serving real ale, and the village Spar type shop has all you need. It's less than 10 minutes drive from Stokesley, a bustling market town with 'real' shops and all the usual facilities. We shall return!

The standard was very high, very well equipped and so comfortable. It was a pleasure to stay here and the coffee and cakes at the Hob across the village green was wonderful as well.

We had a lovely few days at Barnaby Cottage - the cottage is beautifully maintained and lacks for nothing in respect of amenities.

The hamper was a kind thought too. The enclosed garden was also ideal for our dog. Thank you, we hope to be back!

Absolutely loved our stay with my fiancé Kerry and Spaniel Bailey.

It was so relaxing and comfortable, exactly what the doctor ordered even the dog was relaxed for a change. Photos don’t do the cottage justice, lovely furnishings with some lovely touches by the owner Kim including the best welcome basket which was really appreciated. Comfy beds and sofa! Large spacious bedroom and kitchen, good Wi-Fi connection and lovely sun trap garden, Hutton Rudby Is just a lovely peaceful area with a good spar for essentials which was a 5-10 min walk away and a couple of nice pubs on your doorstep. a few other pubs In Nearby villages including the lovely friendly Black Horse in Swainby done brilliant food with generous portions and was dog friendly. Will definitely be back and was a great base for knaresborough, Whitby, Saltburn and Harrogate just a drive away. Just wish we had booked longer but had an amazing time. A lovely, well equipped cottage in a beautiful village.

It’s perfectly situated to visit lots of places, and superb dog walks from the front door. Everyone we met in the village was very friendly and parking just outside the door was a bonus. We had a fantastic few days and would definitely go back.

It is very cosy and comfortable and has everything you could possibly want. Hutton Rudby is an ideal location for touring the area with the Coast and the Dales an easy drive away. All the local towns (Stokesley, Northallerton, Yarm etc) have some great shops and are all worth a visit. I would definitely recommend this cottage and will certainly be back *****

We stayed here for two weeks whilst building work was being completed at our home.

It was perfect for our needs - warm, cosy and with everything we needed. Would definitely recommend to others. Nice welcome hamper and lots of information for local walks.

Hutton Rudby is a quiet friendly village with access to excellent local walks and within easy driving distance to the North York Moors, coast and local market towns. The cottage exactly matches the description on your website and we (and our dog) especially like the enclosed garden. We also appreciate the parking space immediately outside the front door.

Warm and very comfortable.

Having had many rental cottages during the last thirty years or so, I have little doubt this was the best.

The setting was superb with a lovely view across the village green and parking right outside the door. The village itself was served by three pubs, a well stocked Spar shop and a petrol station. The scope for local walks appeared limitless not to mention the possibilities within a short drive. The property was in excellent order, clean and very well equipped. Our bed was really comfortable as were the chairs and sofa in the living room. The heating was efficient and hot water was abundant. The welcome hamper was a lovely touch and greatly appreciated. Having looked through the visitors book in the property I fully understand the desire of several guests to return again and again. I feel we may well be one on them in the not so distant future. Thank you for contributing to a memorable stay and maintaining such high standards.

Appreciated the welcome hamper- a very nice touch! . Great base for visiting nearby towns and the coast. We were there for a family wedding so a perfect location for the church and Rudby Hall.

A very comfortable cottage in a beautiful location in a very friendly village.

Lot of thought gone in to what guests (and dogs) might need, our dog chose the dog bed provided above his own! During the extreme temperatures we stayed in to keep our dog cool and safe, the wonderful assortment of books kept us occupied on the hottest days. Lovely walks (short or long your choice), the owners have provided lots of information on the village and surrounding area. We would definitely book again.

Property spotless and lovely and comfortable.

Every possible requirement in the kitchen and thank you for the foil, washing up liquid, and welcome pack too. Only “negative” was main bed was a bit low and a bit soft - but that is personal preference and also cold draft through front door which in winter will make hall and upstairs very cold. Needs a better fitting door. Otherwise, we would love to come back and stay.

The holiday cottage is really well thought out and had everything we needed.

There were only a couple of niggles - the toilet seat needed securing as it moved a lot and had rough edges that cut our daughter’s skin as she slipped off it several times. Also, the mattress on the king size bed sank in the middle, nothing significant but it’s just a shame it isn’t more up-to-date (it wouldn’t stop me staying again!). The cottage is in a lovely, friendly village with easy access to lots of places, including the seaside. Parking was easy, the local pubs and shop were great. We had such a lovely time, thank you.

This is a great property in a great location; how nice it is to walk around the village and to be greeted by the locals.

It's a great base to get around the region (more here than people might expect!) but it's also a comfortable bolt hole if the weather's not too great. Warmly receommended.

We loved the cottage, it gave us a home feel.

It was well equiped in a nice, quiet village location. It was the first cottage so far, where the room temperature was just right, we never felt too cold or too hot and it was really clean. Lovely cottage to stay in.

Everything was very clean. Kitchen was very well appointed. Bed was very comfy. Kim was on hand if any problems.

Amazing week in superb accommodation there is nothing that could be improved everything you could ever need is provided.

The cleanliness of the cottage is faultless. The area, the neighbours all very friendly and happy to help. I would return in a heartbeat no wonder the place is already booked up for the foreseeable future

Location in village and geographically was very good.

Facilities in the cottage were mainly very good but could be improved by better lighting over, particularly bathroom, mirrors and a shaver point.

A lovely cottage in the middle of a quiet village.

On road parking was available outside the cottage door, the village green is also right outside the door so although the garden has no grass there is plenty of grass to take your dog on if you have a dog with you. Cottage was very clean and well equipped, bed, towel, bowls, poo bags and treats all provided for dogs! A nice little basket on the table on arrival with information booklets, biscuits, tea, coffee and hand sanitiser. There was also milk in the fridge. The Wheatsheaf Inn does lovely food and is very close by. We had such a lovely stay and would definitely recommend this cottage!

This is a brilliant cottage in a friendly village.

It is very comfortable and well equipped. Good internet and a nice space outside for eating! It is an excellent location for walking a section of the Cleveland Way! Highly recommended

It was very clean and well equipped. A peaceful location on the attractive village green. Much of the equipment was new. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Excellent walking in the area and we were able to see our family.
