    “The Cottage was clean and well maintained.”

    It had many great additions such as automatic lighting on the stairs, instant hot water, excellent shower, seating area with bird feeders and access to a hot tub. The location was ideal, in a lovely village and a pub within 10 minutes walking distance. We visited Driffield which is a pleasant town with artisan shops, Burton Agnes Hall which was extremely interesting with an eclectic art collection and lovely grounds and also Tophill Low nature reserve where we witnessed Kingfishers. All in all ...

All in all we had a very relaxing few days. I would definitely recommend this cottage.

The property

A delightful mid-terrace cottage, next door to the owner's home, on the edge of the quiet rural village of Kilham, mid way between Driffield and Bridlington in the Yorkshire Wolds.

A brick-built cottage with whitewashed façade and pantile roof, this character Kilham cottage boasts original beamed ceilings and a brick fireplace which houses a cosy woodburning stove.

There are two comfortable bedrooms in this Driffield cottage, one with an original brick fireplace and views over open countryside.

On the ground floor there is a sitting room with dining area and woodburning stove and a small, well-equipped kitchen which opens on to a patio leading to a lawned rear garden with hot tub and changing facilities.

Kilham offers one pub.

Further afield are the market towns of Driffield, Beverley, Hornsea and Hunmanby, all of which offer shopping and dining facilities, plus Bridlington has award-winning, sandy beaches.

RSPB Bempton Cliffs nature reserve is famous for puffins and gannets in the summer and Flamborough has wonderful limestone cliffs on view along the bracing coastal footpaths.

The Yorkshire Wolds Cycle Route is less than a mile from the cottage, and it's on the Hockney Trail, plus the historic resort of Whitby and the delights of York are both within an easy drive.

This Kilham cottage is ideally placed for a varied and interesting holiday.

The attractive village of Kilham is idyllically situated amidst the pretty Yorkshire Wolds countryside, 7 miles from the colourful town of Driffield. Once an important market town, the village today provides one pubs, a small shop and two churches The surrounding countryside offers excellent walking and cycling opportunities, whilst nearby Driffield provides a variety of shops and tea rooms together with a weekly market. Relax and unwind on the award-winning, sandy beaches that straddle the historic harbour at the bustling town of Bridlington, just 9 miles away, or enjoy a fun day out at Scarborough, with its colourful promenades. The medieval walls, celebrated Minster and interesting museums at the magnificent city of York are within easy driving distance and well worth a visit. Plenty to see and do, at any time of year.
