“Lovely property although very dark inside.”
The garden was very secure for a dog but as there are large trees you lose the sun just before 5 so after that the garden is completely in shade . Grass could have been cut earlier than on the day before we left. Owners as live directly across from the property so you don't feel like you have total privacy.
Here at Low Hagg Farm we're fully booked for most of the year across our 3 cottages- Grouse, Pheasant & Partridge and our reviews speak for themselves - just take a look! Many of our guests (over 50%) come back year after year, often 2 or 3 times a year, both with & without dogs.
Can't get a better recommendation than that!
What a pity you should choose to leave a negative review. I don't usually respond to reviews but this one is so unfair that I've decided not to ignore it. I'm sorry you were disappointed - if only you'd read Sykes's standard T&Cs.
A dog friendly holiday cottage is not a substitute for boarding kennels!
We did explain to you on arrival that we hadn't cut the grass, given the 30 degree heatwave and the fact that it was suffering as a result! Thank goodness for the shade provided by the tree!!
Thankfully after 10 years of operation I can still count the number of disgruntled guests on one hand and I'm confident anyone reading your review will be able to put it into context.
