“The Cottage was situated in a lovely village and was a good size for our party, the beds were comfortable, but I think guests should be made aware that one of the double bedrooms is located through the bedroom with the bunkbeds and this may not be suitable for their needs and the only bathroom upstairs is in that double room.”

The waste bin in one of the bedrooms had not been emptied and we also found items in draws left by previous guests, so obviously they had been missed. The cottage was not as clean as I would have hoped, lots of areas had been neglected, and tables etc. hadn’t been dusted there were stains on the carpets that could easily have been removed. The bathrooms where fine although I don’t think they had been moped and in the kitchen the cooker looked like it had never been cleaned and the grill only ...

The bathrooms where fine although I don’t think they had been moped and in the kitchen the cooker looked like it had never been cleaned and the grill only had one element working, so cooking a nice meal for the family was not an option. There were lots of DVDs and a dvd player buy unfortunately it could not be connected to the tv as they weren’t compatible, so it could not be used. The cottage was also full of flies when we arrived and took a while to get rid of, I appreciate we were in the country but we have never known this to happen before. Bute cottage is a great place to stay, I think is just needs more attention to detail, so your future guests can enjoy their stay. I hope you will take on board my comments.
