“Just returned from our second visit to this lovely quiet cottage set in open countryside just outside Malton.”

Perfect for a couple and dog, our Labrador would have spent the whole week in the huge, well kept, paddock if we had let him, but we managed to drag him to the beaches at Whitby, Scarborough, Filey and Bridlington too (numerous other places of interest also nearby!). Thanks again to Kate, the owner, for a warm and friendly welcome. Hope to see you again in the not too distant future.

About the location

MALTON

York 18 miles; Scarborough 24 miles.

The market town of Malton has been the historic centre of Ryedale since Roman times, and has many interesting buildings including the old Corn Exchange and Assembly Rooms. A weekly general market is still held in the town, as well as livestock and farmers’ markets. The Yorkshire Moors are to the north, and the Yorkshire Wolds are to the south, making it excellent countryside for walkers and cyclists. The impressive coastline is just 24 miles away, whilst the historic city of York is an 18 mile journey. A perfect base for touring the attractions of North Yorkshire.
