“What a place - classy, classic, comfy and cosy, yet mere feet (less than 100 yards!”
) from the Minster and Goodramgate. Quiet, peaceful, beautifully maintained (and huge thanks to the property manager, Janette, who cheerfully answered a few questions we had before we went). The courtyard is a bonus although it doesn’t get much sun! Living room is huge and cosy, kitchen and diner is massive and fitted with high end equipment. Main bedroom is huge with lovely en suite, main bathroom is huge, the double on the 2nd floor is smaller, but the other bedroom up there, with twin beds, is also huge - might benefit from a bit of a swap around there if two couples are staying. The whole house is spotless and manages to mix cosy with contemporary. Everything is within easy (I mean really easy) walking distance from the front door - and the dedicated parking space is 3 minutes walk away and invaluable, worth its weight in gold, York is a hugely busy place. We’ll definitely return, not only to see more of the wider area (thank you again, parking space!) but knowing this is such a brilliant, comfortable and central spot.
