We’ve had the most amazing week at the stunning Sally’s Berth.

From the moment we arrived, we felt so warm and welcomed. The owners have truly thought of everything and catered to everything you could possibly need — it genuinely felt like a real home from home. The accommodation was warm, welcoming, comfortable and had everything we needed for a lovely, relaxing stay. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to spend our week, and even the kids didn’t want to go home! We’ve made some lovely memories here and we’re already hoping we can return again in the future. A huge thank you to the owners for making our stay so special. We honestly couldn’t recommend Sally’s Berth enough! Thank you so much — we absolutely loved it!

The owners met us on arrival to hand over keys which was lovely, the house is in a great location with the beach literally 5 mins walk away, close to arcades, shops and food places.

Being able to park the car in the garage is a great advantage, the house is beautifully maintained with everything you need for your stay, would definitely book again if we were visiting Scarborough again. Would also recommend to others looking for somewhere to stay

We had an amazing stay at this house would recommend it from start to finish.

The house was spotless and had everything we could need. Our car (an audi a4) fit in the garage without a problem meaning we never had to search for parking when returning home. We were in walking distance of everything in Scarborough and only used our car twice. The host were also brilliant and made us feel so welcome and left us milk so we could have a brew when we got there which was very much appreciated. Cannot recommend this house or hosts enough, we would definitely visit again.

Once again the owners met us as we arrived, the property was very clean and well presented, we both slept soundly on the comfortable beds.

The welcome pack was excellent and got our break off to a good start. We look forward to another visit to Sally's Berth!

Lovely property in a great location with friendly helpful owners, a very short walk to the beach, castle, town and train station.

Regular buses and trains run to other locations if you wish to explore further so no need to use the car once stored in the garage. The property is very clean and has everything you need for an enjoyable stay.

We have stayed twice this year. Owners are really friendly and are happy to help out. Property ideally situated for the seafront. Bonus is the property has a garage. Very clean property and comfortable.

The accommodation is in an excellent location, 2 minute's walk to the seafront and 2 minute's to the town centre.

It is extremely clean and very comfortable. He house has everything you need for a self catering stay and a garage to park your car in. The owners are a lovely couple who are available to help with any problems should they arise. We had no problems whatsoever and really enjoyed our stay here.

Lovely accommodation.

So good we have booked to come back again in May. Everything you could need and spotlessly clean. The owners are lovely . Could not fault the accommodation. Was a garage to fit small/medium car. We never used our car was so close to the sea front that we walked everywhere. Was an Xbox and games for the children. Books also if you fancied a quiet read. Would highly recommend this accommodation.

The house is very attractively appointed and comfortable.

The location is good and it was quiet. The garage has a fairly large interior but the doorway is narrow as is the gate access to the very short drive. We consider it only suitable for a small or medium size car. Access is made more difficult because the street is narrow and vehicles are parked all along the opposite side of the road to the property. The owners provide permits for road side parking for 6 nights, which if the visitors are prepared to park a distance away from the property removes this difficulty. However as my husband is disabled and needed the use of his motorised scooter this did make things difficult.

What a lovely place to stay clean and with everything you should need.

Lovely owner has met me when I arrived. Help me put my car into the garage and showed us around the house and was contactable showed anything have happened. I will certainly be booking again as it’s location is ideal.

Great location, close to everything needed and garage parking is a massive bonus (even if it was a squeeze to fit the car in lol), excellent cottage and welcome basket was very welcome.

My wife and I, plus 10 and 14 year old grandchildren, had an excellent one week's stay at Sally's Berth.

We very much appreciated the warm greeting on arrival by the owners and had everything explained. The property was spotlessly clean, beds very comfortable and the kitchen more than adequately equipped with all we needed. Sally's Berth is perfectly located for a holiday stay lying a mere 5 minute walk from the seafront in one direction, the town's high street shopping in another, and the castle in a third (albeit up a steep hill). The off-street parking was a huge bonus being so close to the town centre. Finally, the location is in a quiet side street enabling a complete separation from the noise of the seafront (and the seagulls). I would highly recommend Sally's Berth as the ideal place to stay in Scarborough.

A Perfect Scarborough Retreat.

Sally's Berth is an absolute gem, and our recent stay there was nothing short of fantastic. From the moment we stepped inside, we were struck by how lovely the property is, It genuinely felt like a home away from home. One of the biggest draws of Sally's Berth is its fantastic location. We were thrilled by how incredibly close it is to the beach. Just a short stroll, and you're right on the sand. As well as all the shops and restaurants within walking distance. Sally's Berth offers the perfect blend of comfort, style, and an unbeatable location. We wholeheartedly recommend it.

The owners met us as we arrived, helping to guide my widish car into the garage (due to some inconsiderate parking over the road), gave us a tour of the property and even took our luggage upstairs (we both have some mobility issues), for which I am extremely grateful.

My husband and myself had a wonderful stay at Sally's Berth, the property was spotless.

,and so comfortable. We were greeted warmly by the owner Sue, on arrival,and given a quick tour before leaving us to enjoy our stay. After a much needed cup of tea following our journey, along with a biscuit from the very generous welcome hamper provided, we unpacked our cases and went out to explore. The seafront is just 5 minutes by foot from the house but far enough away to be peaceful. The beds at Sally's Berth are really comfortable, we had no trouble dropping off to sleep after a day's exploration out and about.

Great location close to beach, shops and other attractions.

Garage parking is a real bonus in town. Good decor, very clean and well equipped, this is a lovely house with everything you would want. The conservatory dining room off the kitchen is a great space for relaxing meals. A great choice with a warm welcome from the hosts.

Lovely cottage.

Spotlessly clean. Well equipped. Friendly and accommodating owners. Welcome hamper and milk in the fridge were a kind touch. Situated 5 minutes walk to the beach and harbour and 5 minutes stroll into the town centre. Had a wonderful week. Definitely recommend.

Wonderful holiday made stress free due to the accommodation having everything we needed.

Great location, didn't need to use the car once. Plenty of space and comfort. Everything was either new or simply worked properly, from a great shower to a quality cooker. The place was spotlessly clean. Met by the owners who were wonderful and helpful. Would highly recommend this as great place to stay.

Sally’s Berth was a great place to stay and in a central location to everything.

Very clean and comfortable and has everything you may need. A short walk to an indoor market that sells lovely fresh produce. The beach is a 5 minute walk and the town shops are a 2 minute walk away. The train station is at the top end of the high street (no more than 10 mins walk). Good for day trips to York or if you want to travel to your holiday by train. We had a great time and would recommend Sally’s Berth to others.

The owners were very helpful and were on hand to guide our car into the garage as we arrived. The property is ideally placed for the beach, seafront, castle and the town. It's very nice to be met by the owners who explain all you need to know about the accommodation. The added bonus is being able to park in the garage adjoining the property a rare find in the centre of Scarborough. It is a very comfortable house with everything you need for a relaxing holiday. It is also very convenient for all the attractions of Scarborough. 5 minutes walk to the beach and a short walk to the shopping centre. The market hall at the top of the street is the place for breakfast and the fresh cream cakes. We have had a lovely holiday at Sally's Berth. Thank you Sue and Nick

Sally’s Berth was the cleanest and best maintained of any cottage we have stayed at (24 years).

Thank you for meeting us and helping us into the garage. Thank you for the wonderful welcome basket. The only downside was parking as the road is quite narrow as is the entrance to the driveway and garage ( you must park in the garage) but by the end of the week we had totally mastered parking.! Don’t let that put you off it’s a super property. X

Great communication with welcoming owners. Modern fixtures and fittings. Spacious. Great attention to detail. Clean, neat and tidy. Parking available which is a rarity in Scarborough. Well worth the cost of the holiday. Would definitely book again.

Lovely house near to beach and attractions,off road parking.

It was clean and tidy inside ideal for staying in the town.

Everything was new, clean and working, with comfortable beds and plenty of storage.

The location was great, being within walking distance of both beaches, the castle and very close to the wonderful market with its fresh fruit, veg, meat and fish. At the same time none of the noise of the seafront reached the property. Having guaranteed parking was a godsend, although it was quite tight for a Honda CRV! All in all, excellent!

The Perfect holiday home, spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated and furnished.

Only a few minutes walk from the bustling seafront or town shops. Our Ford EcoSport fitted into the garage if you want a guide to size. We will return!

What a lovely house it was a perfect location very homely and equipped with everything we needed.

The owners could not have been more helpful nothing was too much trouble it was a amazing holiday and would definitely go back and stay there again.

Stayed with our 3 grandchildren aged 12, 10 and 5 and had a brilliant week.

The location is fab for beach, town, castle and Peasholme all within walking distance. The house had everything we needed (and more!) for our weeks stay and was spotlessly clean. I was worried before our arrival about the car parking as it does say suitable for a “standard” sized car and we have an SUV but the owners were there on arrival and guided us in with no bother - perfect! The owners take pride in their property (rightly so) and l clearly listen to any feedback and make changes if needed as evidenced by the bath mat and change of patio furniture.

Great location for the beach. The owners were extremely helpful going over and above, helping us to get top box off the car to get it into garage. Also putting it back on for departure. We would certainly recommend Sally's Berth.

What a lovely house a real home from home.

In a great location minutes from the seafront, town centre and the north bay. So good to not have to use your car. Lovely meeting the owners and have them show us around and the goody hamper was very well received. Will definitely recommend and use again.

Overall score would have been 5 stars had it not been for the relative difficulty in getting the car into the garage and the very small patio with uncomfortable chairs.

The location of the property is excellent with most attractions within easy walking distance, although hills are involved.

Everything about our stay was perfect.

Any minor problems were dealt with quickly and rectified. The owners were extremely hospitable and nice,and couldn’t have been helpful.

The house is exactly as described in the listing.

It's comfortable, fully equipped and was immaculate, having been recently redecorated. The owners were very friendly and helpful especially as we had a delayed arrival. The location is excellent. a few minutes walk from both the beach and the town centre in the other direction. The only thing to be aware of is that most places to eat along the seafront do close very early for dinner, 5.30 or 6pm even. Ask Italia is open much later. There are some more restaurants and a Wetherspoons in the town centre which open later. We found Gianni's Italian and Lezzet Turkish/mediterranean very good, but you need to book. The local buses are very good we went to Robin Hood's Bay and Whitby using them and did some lovely coastal walks and there are good walks around Scarborough itself. all in all a very pleasant week.

A newly refurbished delightful house right in the heart of everything in Scarborough South Bay with the added bonus of a garage for the car!

The South Bay Beach is just a 2 min short walk. We’d happily stay here again. The hosts were lovely and always available if required. Cracking holiday home!

Had a really nice stay,photos don't do it justice ,sue and husband were there to meet us,welcome hamper was a nice touch,nice having breakfast in the conservatory,only down side was the toilet /bathroom being downstairs,but more an inconvenience than a complaint especially during the night,excellent location and having a driveway was a bonus,would definitely stay again

The photos do not do justice to this property - the house has been nicely renovated and provides a home from home whilst in Scarborough.

The owners were there to meet us and show us around, and left us a very nice welcome pack, that was very much appreciated. The bedrooms, kitchen and living area were very nice and comfortable and the conservatory an added bonus in warmer months. The location is excellent, especially the indoor market 100m away for a beautiful full english breakfast.

This is a real gem of a property by the coast.

We were a family of 4 visiting Scarborough for the week and we loved staying here. The property has been freshly decorated and furnished beautifully inside which made it a lovely place to stay. A very nice kitchen, conservatory and lounge with wifi and smart TV. There were also some books, games, DVDs, books available should you choose to use them. The property also benefitted from private off street parking which is rare in Scarborough! Location was absolutely perfect, barely a few minutes walk to the South Bay or the centre of the town for shopping. Once we arrived I didn't need to use my car at all. We were the first guests to ever stay at this property through Sykes so it was lovely that the owners greeted us on arrival and made us feel very welcome. They were also available by phone with immediate responses when we had any questions. The owners were very helpful and lovely towards us. We really enjoyed our time here and would highly recommend it for family holidays.
