Luxury lodge with beautiful decor in this fabulous village of Runswick Bay A newly-built luxury lodge in a small gated community, decorated and furnished to a very high standard, a perfect base in this popular village with the lovey sandy beach and picturesque bay a five minute walk.

Really comfortable lodge

Slept very well in comfy bed & very quiet. Well equipped lodge, however could do with more storage space for food, as self catering. Really didn’t want to go out a lot, as the lodge was so lovely. I’d stay in the property again!

What a lovely property - a very stylish interior plus the advantage of outside space and private parking in this pretty village, approximately fifteen minute walk to the beautiful bay with its golden sands.

The lodge is on one level (with three steps up to the property) and has an open plan living area with a smart sitting room with Smart TV (why not log onto your Netflix account and catch up on those movies!), comfortable seating and a light and airy decor.

There is a dining area with a table and chairs to sit and enjoy meals together; French doors lead to a large veranda - perfect to enjoy the fresh air over breakfast or a nightcap under the stars before bedtime!

There is also a breakfast bar with seating plus a well-equipped and immaculate kitchen with an oven, hob, fridge, freezer, wine fridge, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine/dryer.

A hallway leads to the bedrooms; a smart twin bedroom with full size 3' beds and wardrobe. The master bedrooms suite has a king size bed and a closet plus an elegant shower room with large shower, WC and hand washbasin in a vanity unit.

There is a gorgeous house bathroom with bath, shower over, WC and hand wash basin.

The village of Runswick Bay is one of the Yorkshire Coast's prettiest destinations and has a wonderful sandy beach. Enjoy an afternoon beachcombing searching for shells, fossils and nearer the cliffs, pieces of jet that the area is known for. This lovely village has a two local inns that serves food and a café on the seafront to buy flags, buckets and spades or even a dinghy, together with freshly made sandwiches, toasted teacakes and cups of hot Horlicks!

Mr Freeman
Lovely lodge, clean, homely & well equipped. Enclosed decking area for furry friends. We will definitely be back!
Ms Fulton
Excellent location, very quiet and comfortable. Welcome pack was appreciated on arrival. If there is going to be a negative I would just say it wasn't clear to which gate you accessed the lodge through. Would highly recommend and will revisit.
Ms Peel
Hideaway Lodge is a 5 star holiday lodge. It is set in a lovely quiet area close to Runswick Bay beach and lots of lovely villages. The Lodge was very well equipped with everything you could need and lovely and clean. There was even a welcome pack full of goodies. I’d highly recommend booking Hideaway Lodge, I’ll definitely be back.
Miss Hindson
Hideaway Lodge is a lovely place to stay, it was so modern and clean, in a small gated cul-de-sac location which was so quiet. The lodge was well stocked with all the equipment you would require for your break. Beds were extremely comfortable and the welcome pack a lovely touch. Runswick Bay is a lovely village within easy reach of so many places to visit. We were extremely sad to leave and hope to return soon.
Mrs Carlisle
Excellent accommodation in lovely grounds and easy to reach other places of interest. Would have liked some area of enclosed garden as I have 2 dogs and couldn't let them out on their own but otherwise very happy.
Mrs Mainwaring
We enjoyed our stay in the hideaway Lodge at the pines in runswick bay. The lodge is very comfortable with everything you need. The welcome pack was a lovely touch too. Hideaway is clean and comfortable to a high standard, loved the shower. We are looking to book this lodge again in the future a wonderful place to relax and unwind. Our dog enjoyed her break too, the bay is amazing. Thank you. Linda, richie and Bella. Co. Durham.
Mrs Warwick
I think most people automatically leave the property clean and tidy without being asked by your company to do so.
Miss Ellis
Just returned home from 3 nights away at The Pines at Runswick Bay. Hideaway Lodge was lovely. Had everything needed for our stay away. I was away with my 87 year old mum and dog. Although some of the coastline was a little steep for mum, it was only a short car journey to find a park nearer to a beach. Definitely recommend to family and friends. We all loved our stay at The Pines. Thank you.
Mrs Forsdyke
This is a beautifully furnished lodge with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The site is well maintained and very peaceful, in close proximity to a sweeping, picturesque Sandy bay. Closely situated to the Cleveland way, with panoramic, dramatic views. This holiday was everything we’d hoped for and more. Perfect place to relax and unwind!
Mrs Mcnestry
The chalet was ideal and very tastefully furnished. The only thing we missed was an ice cube tray so we could have a gin and tonic....not the same without ice!! Otherwise perfect....and even had some nice weather. Good sunday lunch at Badger Hounds and nice fish & chip shop both in Hinderwell.
Mr Goodwin
Television signal was poor or lost on many occasions. Ariels on other units seemed to be higher up than the one on Hideaway. Guests should be aware that many pubs in the area shut Monday and Tuesday and don’t open until the evening the rest of the week and you may need to book a week in advance.
Mr Boulton
The main living area is much smaller than it looks like in the photo the main stand up beam is not in the best of places the way the room is set out with the furniture, but we still managed to have a great time, the bed in the 1st bedroom was about the most comfortable.
Mr Armitage
Really comfortable lodge. Slept very well in comfy bed & very quiet. Well equipped lodge, however could do with more storage space for food, as self catering. Really didn’t want to go out a lot, as the lodge was so lovely. I’d stay in the property again!
Mrs Russell
The Hideaway Lodge is perfect for a relaxing break. The lodge is fully equipped and tastefully decorated. It was our first visit to Runswick bay which is a lovely picturesque bay. We will definitely return however for us it would be during the winter months as we found the lodges to be too overlooked.
Mrs Newsome
The area with walks on the beach and the comfortable accommodation with excellent facilities. Disappointed about the request to refund £30 as we only brought one dog, not two as booked because of unforeseen circumstances
Mrs Bailey
An absolutely idyllic location with everything as described and better.
Mr Sims
First impressions of the property were very favourable, but there were too many maintenance problems which impinge on the holiday. For example an induction hob that didn’t work properly, the television kept pixelating making it difficult to watch, the internet kept failing, ill fitting toilet seats, no adequate dried food storage. Various people before us had mentioned maintenance problems in the comments book, but they hadn’t been acted upon. The property sadly didn’t meet its 5 star rating.
