A wonderfully presented lodge set in the village of Runswick Bay. Open-plan living. Beach nearby. Idyllic scenery. Staithes 2.6 miles; Whitby 9 miles.

Hideaway Lodge was great - spotlessly clean, very comfortable, and equipped with everything we needed

We’d certainly stay again.

About

Layout

Hideaway Lodge is a luxurious lodge hidden in a small gated community in Runswick Bay, perfect for families looking to visit the Yorkshire coast as well as the North York Moors National Park. This pleasant base is tastefully decorated and furnished, and it has everything you need for a relaxing stay.

Discover the open-plan living area, the property's social hub, which features exquisite sofas, an electric fire, and a wall-mounted Smart TV for cosy movie evenings.

Grab your cookbooks and proceed to the kitchen, where you'll find a variety of modern appliances such as an oven, hob, fridge, freezer, wine fridge, microwave, and even a dishwasher, so you won't have to lift a finger when it comes to cleaning!

Gather around the dining table and serve the rewards of your labour, toasting to a long-awaited luxury getaway with a bottle of wine.

A hallway leads to the bedrooms, which include a contemporary twin with full size 3' beds and wardrobe, as well as a king-size bed and an attractive shower room in the master suite.

Start your morning with a long soak in the tub before heading to the decked area with patio furniture, which is ideal for an alfresco breakfast or a cup of coffee in the fresh air.

When you're ready to explore, the village of Runswick Bay has plenty to offer; wander the narrow passages and quaint streets, snap a photo of the only remaining thatched house on the Yorkshire coast, which was once an old coastguard's house, before settling down for a delicious meal at the Runswick Bay Hotel, or grab a beach snack at the Runswick Bay Café.

Put on your walking boots and embark on a 109-mile journey across the magnificent North York Moors National Park, taking in awe-inspiring scenery, harsh moors, tranquil shoreline, and a variety of attractive villages along the way. With a stay at Hideaway Lodge, you can enjoy the delights of North Yorkshire.

Hideaway Lodge was great - spotlessly clean, very comfortable, and equipped with everything we needed. We’d certainly stay again.
Ms Easthope
We stayed at Hideaway Lodge last summer and had such a great time, we booked it again for this summer. Last time we received a lovely welcome basket, which was a lovely touch, but there was just tea, coffee and milk this time. Standards have slipped slightly, it wasn’t as clean as it could have been, in particular, the kitchen cupboards were dirty as was the grill pan (there was some tin foil with grease on). Also we requested a high chair and travel cot which had been there last year but wasn’t there on our arrival this time, however one phone call to Sykes and it was sorted and at the lodge within an hour. However, the cot was very dusty and had a broken foot and the high chair needed a good wipe. Despite this we had a lovely week.
Miss Hindson
Lovely lodge, very quiet and relaxing site, ideal for our nervous dog, we loved it and hope to return.
Mrs Weir
Just that while running a,bath , the shower and light in the en suite came on , and the kettle was bit hit or miss coming on , other than that we have loved staying in Hideaway Lodge . Beautiful lodge and lovely peaceful site.
Mr Lever
Absolutely lovely place, can't wait to book it again.
Mr Owens
Very lovely & clean lodge, would highly recommend.
Mrs Mcdermott
Absolutely perfect location and perfect lodge. Great communication and a cute welcome package of milk, tea, coffee and dog biscuits was very much appreciated.
