Beautiful cottage spot less has everything you need location a bit to far out for us but would recommend the cottage

Nice enough accommodation but the house is joined to another.

In the main bedroom you can hear the neighbour using and flushing the toilet in the night, not ideal. Also the tiny concrete yard in front of the house is shared so if you have a dog you have to walk it up the (extremely steep) road to let them do their stuff.

This was our 2nd visit to Narnia Cottage and same as the first time we had a great stay and have already booked to come back next year.

The cottage is lovely and has everything you need for your holiday. It is lovely and clean and only 10min walk to the beach and town centre. It also benefits for having parking at the side of the cottage. There was also nice touches with the chocolates and dog treats. Would definitely recommend the cottage for a stay in Scarborough.

Narnia Cottage is situated in good location,for the beach(5min walk,)town centre (10mins walk).

The property also has it's own parking space,which means you can leave your vehicle there and forget about it. Inside a well equipped kitchen, cosy living room and dining area.Only used the double bedroom which was very spacious and very comfortable.We will return.

Just got back from a lovely stay in Narnia Cottage.

We stayed 12th - 16th of April. Great base for visiting Staithes, Robin Hoods Bay, Saltburn-by-the-sea, Marske-by-the-Sea, Sandsend

Walkable to the beach. Large lounge and a separate dining room. The bed was huge and the shower very efficient.

This is an awesome place to stay, the cottage is immaculate every thing you may need us supplied.

The stay at Narnia Cottage was a very pleasant one.The only downside was we couldn't get the tv in the bedroom to work.We all enjoyed our treats after the journey. Thank you.

Had a fantastic stay with my dog. So easy to walk to south beach and then in to town. Would definitely stay again if in the area.

The property is one of the best we have had with Sykes it is convenient for town or beach it is also well equipped for dining in.

Overall it was a good cottage.

Microwave oven was a bit iffy and a winter duvet in mid-summer was a tad too much. The cottage itself was in a great position and nice and quiet. And good parking for our car. Well equipped cottage. And the owner left some treats for our doggie which was a nice gesture.

The property was in an excellent location to access the shops , beach and lovely costal walks .

The property was clean and tidy. fully equipped kitchen , and bathroom . Tastefully decorated throughout the property . The next comment is a suggestion : to supply kitchen trivets when taking things from the oven . long brush for the laminate flooring . maybe , something at the bottom of the stairs to stop dogs from following you upstairs . Narnia cottage is beautiful and in a really good location with only a ten minute walk to the beach .

The cottage itself is tucked away in a lovely quiet corner with no noise whatsoever and I’ll certainly be returning here .

We stayed at this lovely cottage during August and had a great time with our two boys playing on the beach and riding the open-top bus between the bays.

Everything was very clean and the kitchen was well-equipped. It is set back a bit from the road and we found it very quiet at night. Our boys our very young so we moved some nice furniture to avoid damage and used a couple of chairs as an improvised stair gate - but nothing we wouldn't have had to do elsewhere. We did have some worries about the parking since we have just got a bigger car - but, actually, we didn't have any problems. Although the turn off is on a fairly steep hill, you can then take your time reversing. We would love to return some time. Thanks!

Excellent property in a good location for the town & beach, 10 min walk.

We were a family of 4 including teenagers and a dog , and the size and rooms were perfect. The property is furnished beautifully and has all the comforts of a home from home

Beautifully spacious and comfortable cottage.

We seemed to find a new 'thing' to look at each day. Parking could be an issue if you have a large vehicle. A lovely walk down to the seafront from the cottage.

Very basic property located off a steep hill.

Shared parking is difficult unless you have a small car and excel at reversing. The seaside theme throughout the house is a bit OTT especially as the property is a long way from the beach. Expensive for what it is. The mattresses and pillows urgently need renewing.

We spent a lovely week at Narnia Cottage.

It certainly was a home from home. The house was decorated beautifully, especially the second bedroom which our 4 and 5 year-old boys loved. The beds were so comfortable that they slept all night! The kitchen was extremely well equipped. I cooked most days and there was everything that I needed. The location was excellent with only a 10 minute walk into the town. There was a steep incline, but the house isn't very far up the hill and didn't cause us any problems. The only problem we had during our stay was getting woken up at 6am everyday by the neighbour getting ready for work. The neighbour's bathroom was next to Narnia's main bedroom and the walls were paper thin and we could hear everything! This would be the only reason why we wouldn't stay here again as the house was perfect in every other way.

The cottage was stunning and love our stay there.

Would recommend to our family and friends.

Everything you need for a holiday. Big and fluffy bath towels. Comfortable beds and a lovely family house. The decor was lovely and reminded us of all the wonders of the beach.

The cottage was very nice clean and everything was there.

My husband uses a wheel chair for walking a long way. The hill the cottage was on was very steep so I found that I used the car a lot more than I would normally. I didn’t think much of the bed and the plastic under cover made us sweat. I wouldn’t book this cottage if you had any walking difficulties. We did have a good holiday

This was our third holiday at Narnia Cottage.

The property is well equipped, clean, comfortable, and spacious. We wouldn't stay anywhere else in Scarborough. The Easter egg on arrival was a lovely touch.

Stayed at Narnia cottage for a few days.

We really enjoyed our stay. The cottage was spotless and had everything we could possibly need. It was located very near to the beach and was a good base for travelling further afield. All in all it was one of the best mini breaks we have ever had.

Although the property itself is very comfortable and in a decent location there are issues around parking if travelling by car.

There is a huge gradient to the street outside and a tight driveway space not really suitable for purpose.

Would definitely return to Narnia Cottage, tucked away in a quiet and prime position with it's own parking space, in walking distance to Scarborough town centre and the beach, a gem of a find, would highly recommend.

Just got back from a fab week at Narnia Cottage.

The Cottage is spotlessly clean, comfy and cosy. With only 10 minute walk to the South Bay and 10 minute walk from the Town Centre this is in a great location too. We will be coming back for sure.

We had a lovely week at Narnia Cottage.

It is clean and comfortable with lots of storage space and in a good location for walks along the coastal path. The only downside of the holiday was going out for a meal or drinks just isn't the same at the moment but that's no reflection on the property. We won't hesitate to book again when things become more normal (hopefully!).

The cottage is in a really convenient area - 10/15 minutes walk to south bay and 10/15 minutes (uphill) walk to local amenities such as mini supermarket, chip shop and bakery.

The cottage itself was very comfortable and we had everything we needed for a week long stay. The cottage is up a steep hill but it was only for a short part and we knew about it from previous reviews but it caused us no issues (with pram and dog).

Narnia was clean, compact but with plenty of space for the three of us.

In a town where parking is obviously at a premium the off road parking was a worth it.

Friendly neighbour and nice outside space for when the weather is fine. Very spacious cottage, even the bath had lots of room! Only a 10 minute walk to the beach and 15 minutes to the train station/ edge of town. Nice park down the road. Only £6 in a taxi to town centre for an evening meal if you've done enough walking for the day.

This is a really comfortable cottage, well presented and has some very nice touches.

A pleasant surprise - Netflix - and the WiFi was superb. The cottage was very clean and milk, a box of chocolates and cereals, left by the owner, were a lovely thought. The thing that spoilt it was the claim that it was only ten minutes from the beach and no mention was made of the steep hill leading to the cottage. I booked the cottage with the claim it was only a ten minute walk, but it took at least 20 mins, with the return journey uphill nearly all the way. This caused problems for me. Again I wouldn’t have booked the cottage, knowing it was on a steep hill. Also there is parking just outside the cottage, but the entrance drive to the cottage is very narrow in places. With only an average sized car, we found it difficult. With a big car nearly impossible,and you cannot park on the main road as it is disc parking only, and you are liable for a fine. Our little dog enjoyed herself though, and with the garden being fully enclosed, it was perfect for her. Though, because of the points mentioned, I would not go to Narnia again, but our stay was nevertheless enjoyable.

Great secure and quiet place to stay with friendly immediate neighbours that share gated enterance.

The house is clean and comfortable. It cost £7 from town centre in taxi. If walking there are some steep banks which wasnt a problem for us but may be for people with mobility issues. Milk, cereal tea etc already there for our use also a box of chocolates. Great communication from host, self check in and out with no issues. We will be looking to book again in the future. Thanks

Narnia exceeded our expectations, a home from home.

Comfortable, clean, modern and we didn't want for anything. Our boys loved their room and having Wi-Fi, they loved the quietness of the cottage and comfort. We were superbly located to walk to the beech and also to the local park at Falsgrave. Off street parking was a bonus. We will definitely be returning.

This is the fourth time we have booked our holidays through Sykes and each time has been brilliant, the accommodation has always been clean and very cosy, we will be booking again very soon.

We were very pleasantly surprised when we arrived at Narnia cottage.

It was well furnished with comfortable sofas and beds. The facilities were well appointed with everything catered for. We arrived on Friday 2nd November and settled in immediately until departure on Monday 5th. The cottage is a good place to explore from and nice to get back to. Though the cottage isn't entirely secluded, with it's small courtyard, it felt like it. The only drawback is the steep approach to the cottage. It might be advisable to make this apparent in the description. People with mobility issues will have problems walking to and from the cottage. Overall,a very pleasant short break and we would certainly consider going back and recommending it to friends and family.

Came in with linens during stay. Presume she would have come in if I had not been in the building and felt very unhappy about that. Also, neighbours doing diy late at night and noise carrying the cottage.

I appreciated the efficient cooker , straightforward microwave and good sized fridge and freezer.

..............along with ample work surface it made catering away from home very easy.

The cottage is beautifully decorated and furnished with seaside-themed mugs, pictures etc.

The lounge is very comfortable and spacious and like a show home. We were surprised by the attention to detail and the kindness of the owner who provided bread, milk and biscuits for our arrival. We had a great time and will go back as soon as we can.

Extremely spacious and tastefully decorated to a high standard. Short stroll to the beach with all its amenities. Even our little dog didn't want to leave!!!

As soon as we walked into Narnia cottage our holiday began, the entrance opened into a dinning area comfortable for four adults sitting to eat.

The home away from home comfort factor, continued into the sitting room which was large and contained 2x3 seater sofas and still left plenty of space to move around. The galley kitchen was well laid out with lots of storage space and adequately equipped for 4+ people. The holiday themed décor was bright and was a cheerfull reminder of why we were there. The 2 bedrooms were lovely the main one containing what I'm sure was a kingsize bed and still had plenty of space to move around to access the bedroom furniture. The second bedroom had 2 single beds that were well positioned to take advantage of the size and room layout. The bathroom bath /shower layout worked well because as bathrooms go it was larger than average. My wife and I were very impressed overall and it made our holiday as good as it gets.
