“Thank you for the welcome pack.”

It was very comprehensive. The house was lovely and we enjoyed looking at the photographs of the refurbishment. Everyone said their beds were comfy. Location was very central. the bedrooms on the front of the house being on the main road, were noisy compared to the back. Earplugs had to be purchased for the second night as it was warm and we needed the windows open which didn’t help. The other thing that affected sleep quality was just having blinds and no curtains meant there was a lot of ...

It was very comprehensive. The house was lovely and we enjoyed looking at the photographs of the refurbishment. Everyone said their beds were comfy. Location was very central. the bedrooms on the front of the house being on the main road, were noisy compared to the back. Earplugs had to be purchased for the second night as it was warm and we needed the windows open which didn’t help. The other thing that affected sleep quality was just having blinds and no curtains meant there was a lot of light. Luckily I had taken my eye mask. Perhaps this is something you could provide? The kitchen was well stocked with plenty cups, glasses, plates etc. Our group tended to congregate in the kitchen dining area - I imagine other holidaymakers did too as the barstools and seatpads on the dining chairs were really grubby and stained. They really let the house down. Bathrooms were clean and towels aplenty and nice quality. One observation was the bath tub could do with a grab rail and a non slip mat. Final observation is having only one set of keys and no doorbell proved problematic at times! Overall we had a really good time and the hot tub was a nice touch.

It catered for all and we were a party of 12 ranging from 3yrs to 71. The only thing we would recommend is curtains in the bedrooms as the light woke the young ones up otherwise perfect. Would recommend to others.

“We had a lovely week at Station House.”

This was our second stay there as a family (8 adults, 5 children), and if anything was even better than last year’s. The house is tastefully decorated, well equipped with everything you could need, and spotlessly clean. The bedrooms are spacious and bright, the beds comfortable, there’s plenty of room for 14 people to eat together and to socialise in the evening, and the little games area with beanbags by the stairs was particularly well-used by the boys! Nice to have the hot tub as well. It’s so handy for the SJT and the station, within a decent walking distance of both shores and the town centre, and there are three large supermarkets close by. All in all a perfect base for a Scarborough break. We had good communication from the owner, Jaime, and knew that any problem would have been quickly sorted. We also appreciated the generous welcome pack. Perhaps we should be thinking about next year…..?!

A beautiful property, well considered, spacious, great location and parking, would come back again for sure! The welcome hamper was a great touch too! 9/10 Helpful points below: Shower in one of the bedrooms only ran boiling hot water (broken knob?), which was a bit of a problem. The mattresses for the cots were too thin to let our babies sleep on them for the night, so we had to go out and buy a mattress each - which was unnecessary as we had travel mattresses at home, if only we knew. A few black bin bags would have been handy. Something to differentiate between the 3rd and 4th floor, I kept walking into a friends room, yet I was the floor above. The rooms could have done with curtains to keep the light out, but I’m a light sleeper and things like this wake me up.

Absolutely perfect for 11 of plus a birthday party exactly like the photos could not fault it ,the only niggle was no where to hang 11 plus coats downstairs tough if you forgot yours and had to go 47 stairs plus,all in all perfect for beach entertainment and much more

Plenty of mugs though which was nice. The extra freezer could be a fridge freezer, food for 14 is difficult to fit in one fridge. Welcome hamper is a nice touch and the cleanliness of the place was second to none. Ideal location, thank you for a wonderful stay.

“Overall it was a pleasure staying at station house facilities/area/comfortable the only thing I would say is it needs painting as some walls marked etc to give it back the WOW factor!”

It needs an extra fridge - a separate dryer as the current washer dryer is rubbish! Lastly the locked gate needs sorting not ideal when locking as not correctly fitted lock I broke my nail one day which wasn’t a good experience and te men folk struggled as was very difficult All in all we want to book again hopefully Thankyou I had a cracking birthday holiday Nicola Crisp

HI there Sorry for the delayed response. All of your comments were very helpful. As you can imagine the property is full all year round and we do our best to repaint when we can. However this usually happens at the start of the year. We have just finished it now but again by october sometimes it can have marks etc depending how people treat the property. We have added another fridge in the laundry room with a separate tumble dryer plus another fridge in the cleaning cupboard. The lock and gate have been replaced which agin is down to simple wear and tear but again it has been sorted. Glad you enjoyed your stay! Property Owner

“The house is amazing, ideal for the whole family.”

It was very clean and very well stocked with towels, hand soap, all kitchen facilities together with a lovely food hamper on arrival. Location is great with only a 15min walk to the front and most activities/attractions are walking distance. The only negative, the hot tub area, the description of outside furniture. The furniture consisted of 4 metal chairs with a plastic seat - not really in keeping with the rest of the house. We had a brilliant holiday, thank you

Only a few minutes walk to the town and supermarkets. 10 mins to the beach and opposite the train station !. I would highly recommend this property for a large group. “12 of us spent 3 nights at Station House celebrating my dad's 70th birthday, the youngest being 5 years old.”

The house was perfect for our needs. Well laid out, plenty of space, very clean, kitchen very well equipped, best hamper we have ever received at a holiday house (and we have visited a few!). Jaime (the owner) was very accommodating and responded quickly and with good grace to all of our enquiries. The hot tub was the icing on the cake. One of the party commented that he felt like he was in a hotel with his bedroom and ensuite being so lovely. Would definitely recommend and would also love to return. Thank you Jaime.

“The property was good, the space was just right for our party of 13 and exactly what we expected from the pictures viewed, the welcome basket was a lovely idea.”

The property was close and in walking distance of the town, it was warm and all rooms apart from the loft had a tv. Parking at the back was perfect and easily accessed. The property was clean and tidy and did have more kitchen facilities provided for washing, cooking and cleaning up than anticipated. The Wifi was a good connection. The only issue we had was that we didn’t use the hot tub, the jets wouldn’t turn on and the loft room didn’t have a mirror to get reading in but mirrors were available in all the others so it wasn’t really an issue.

The hot tub was a great addition and the Xbox area under the stairs was also an extra that makes life a little easier with older children. Great location and plenty of parking. We were a family of 11 including grandparents, teenagers and an infant and it was perfect. The only thing we thought could be improved were a few kitchen items (better knives, tin opener and colander) but this was probably because we ate in a lot due to such comfortable surroundings. 10 out of 10 and would definitely return.

Great layout, great location and comfy! Not much room in the fridge with everything for Xmas, ideally the second freezer could have been a second fridge. Could have also done with a masher and some sharper knives for prepping veg, etc, they were quite difficult to use. Probably only noticed so much with it being a lot of Christmas prep. A balloon, a birthday card and an empty pesent box were found behind two pieces of furniture in the play area and lounge so cleaner could be a little more thorough but clean otherwise and appreciate it's a big house to get through! The tree/decorations/hamper were a lovely touch, would definitely recommend! Thank you for allowing us to make some special memories in your beautiful home

Such a relaxing and lovely place really appreciated the welcome basket and the rooms being so well presented. The kids enjoyed the "X-box under the stairs" which resulted in Harry Potter jokes whilst the adults enjoyed relaxing in the hot-tub, we all enjoyed watching movies on the large sofa's and silly games and meals around the big table. And great bedrooms with lots of space to have quiet time to yourself too.. ... wonderful ! We will be back again.

“This house was perfect!”

It has a modern interior with huge bedrooms that had everything you needed (hairdryers,tv, irons etc) beautiful white ensuite shower rooms or a spacious bathroom with a roll top bath. We were left all the basics needed for our trip ie cleaning products, hand wash, dishwasher tablets etc even washing tablets for the washing machine! We also had a surprise hamper left for us full of basics like tea, coffee, cereal and goodies

.. it was absolutely amazing... this was the first time we have ever slept all understand the 1 roof... the house is absolutely perfect.. we all sat round the kitchen table during the day and all snuggled in the massive livingroom to watch a movie at night... you instantly feel so at home as soon as you walk through the door...would 100% recommended this house... it's also walking distance to both north and south bay.. we had great fun while in Scarborough... its going to be very hard to top this house next year...
