With views of the sea, harbour and beach, this pretty cottage on the seafront in the picturesque village of Staithes is beautifully furnished and ideal for a wonderful seaside holiday

This is a beautiful cottage, nicely furnished and very tastefully decorated

It is kept immaculately clean. It has everything we needed for our stay. It was the second time I had stayed here (although I actually booked through a different agency). It has lovely views across the harbour

Layout

GROUND FLOOR

This is a charming cottage with lovely light and airy decor and stunning views of the sea, beach and harbour.

It has a wonderful large, open plan living area with beamed ceilings and great views.

This living space includes a sitting room with comfortable seating and a Smart TV/DVD - access your Netflix account and catch up on movies! - or to simply sit, relax and read - after all, isn't that what holidays are all about?

There is a dining area with a table and chairs to comfortably seat five; it's an ideal spot to enjoy meals together, whether that's breakfast as the day begins or dinner after a day's sightseeing - or to simply treat yourself to a sumptuous afternoon tea after sunbathing on the beach!

The immaculate kitchen has an oven, hob, dishwasher, fridge and microwave plus there's a separate utility room with a washing machine/dryer and freezer.

A useful cloaks/WC is located on the ground floor too.

FIRST FLOOR

Again with fabulous sea views, the master bedroom has a king size bed - where better to enjoy breakfast in bed? - an occasional chair, full length mirror and wardrobe with good storage space.

The twin bedroom also has lovely views of the beach and out to sea - how delightful to wake up to a glorious sunrise across the bay - with two full size 3' single beds and a wardrobe.

The third bedroom is really cute with a pretty day bed and wardrobe.

The stylish house bathroom is a good size and has a bath, a shower over, WC and hand wash basin.

You can drive right to the cottage to unload your luggage then park at the Pay & Display car park with the permit provided.

STAITHES

Roxby Cottage is on the seafront in the charming seaside village of Staithes, with its cobbled streets, pretty cottages, beautiful harbour and sandy beach. An artist’s dream, Staithes is picturesque and has lovely local shops including a general stores, traditional butchers, gift emporium and art galleries plus tea rooms and two great inns. In the 18th century Captain Cook was apprenticed to a draper near the harbour before his seafaring days. Today Staithes is a must for anyone visiting the Yorkshire Coast. This quaint seaside village is still home to an RNLI lifeboat station and a small fleet of cobles (fishing boats) landing fish, crab and lobster, with boat trips for fishing, bird watching and even whale watching available. It’s also the location of the popular BBC children’s TV series, Old Jack’s Boat. Staithes is a superb base for exploring the Yorkshire Coast, visiting the larger resorts of Whitby (a ten/fifteen minute drive) and Scarborough, the nearby seaside villages of Runswick Bay and Sandsend or enjoying the moorland villages of the North York Moors National Park.
