“Great location with stunning views when walking on the costal path to Whitby and Sandsend.”

Pub across the road had views of the golf course and sea and served great food. We didn’t experience any noise from the pub. All 4 double bedrooms comfortable. Didn’t use the bedroom with the bunks but can imagine it would be a bit of a squeeze- probably ok for younger children. First floor bathroom a little dated and shower can only be used when seated in the bath. Ground floor bathroom very narrow and some of our group found use of the toilet a little difficult to use due to the limited space. However, the shower was great. Lounge was comfortable and just large enough for our group of 6 adults and one 20 month old. Kitchen was spacious and we were able to cook without difficulty for our group. There was always plenty of hot water and the property was very warm. There are several steps down to the rear garden from the kitchen door and this might be difficult for the less physically able. The little garden was lovely and we just loved the amazing hot tub. Games room with table tennis was also great. We didn’t use the basement TV room. Great that there was a high chair and travel cot available. The owners were very responsive and quickly resolved the issue with the cleaners when we first arrived. We had a really lovely stay and the attention to detail such as the few board games and welcome pack were lovely touches. We would definitely consider staying again when visiting Whitby

Thanks for the feedback. We are aware of the slight compromises in the bathroom facilities and have planning permission that will more than fix these - it does require substantial roof rework though! The bunk bed room is a very popular children’s room, with fantastic sea views - its adult use compromises are clearly described in the booking description… Property Owner
