Sandsend View

This is a beautiful apartment with amazing views.

Welcome basket was very welcomed (thank you). Just a couple of niggles which I think the owners would like to be aware because the apartment is so good, although probably clean there were brown stains on both the duvet and mattress plus hairs on the pillows that were not ours. I also think adding a couple of toilet roll holders would be a good idea too. Simple cheap fixes. This is a great place to stay and I would recommend it to anyone, I would happily return. We thoroughly enjoyed our 1 week stay over Christmas.

The accommodation had everything we needed and was quiet with an excellent view over Whitby and up to Sandsend, along the coast. It was a pleasant gentle walk into Whitby with all the facilities there; example is 20 minutes to the Abbey ruins including the 199 steps up to it. Having a lift to our 3rd floor apartment was a real asset, particularly for arrival and departure with luggage & food etc. The smart TV has sufficient offerings to find something to watch amongst the Christmas TV programs. Security at the location is excellent and the property appears to be well maintained. An excellent location as a base for exploring the area. We used the good bus service to visit Staithes and Robin Hoods Bay, both less than 45 minutes away. The parking vouchers offered by the owners are a real plus too, so the car was immediately outside the front door. When returning to Whitby we will be very happy to book the same again.

Very well equipped and very clean and tidy on arrival. We had a really nice stay.

If only all apartments were like this—spotless and modern.

We would have booked a longer stay if it had been available. Two comments, firstly if like me you have an older car with a sat nav that does not have door numbers, the post code will take you to the other side of the Royal Crescent, and finally a fan would have been welcomed as it was still quite warm. - This was the only property we stayed at on out trip that did not have one. Would defiantly book again without hesitation.

First class apartment equipped with everything you need.

Fantastic views of the sea front and gardens below. Located 5 to 7 minutes walk to the town center which is always busy. Whitby boasts plenty of bars, restaurants and local shops along the many narrow interesting streets. We really enjoyed Whitby and the Sandsend View apartment made our week into a perfect stay. Arriving at the weekend just be prepared you may have to wait for a parking spot as it's quite busy. We drove around the block a few times and had a space within 10 mins. We will hope to return again soon to Sandsend view and can highly recommend it for a pleasant and comfortable stay.

We had a fantastic stay to the point that we tried to fit as much into the time we had that we did not read about leaving the linen and the towels on the bathroom floor and where to take the rubbish bag so please accept my apologies for not doing that,the apartment was lovely really clean and comfortable and the view of the sunset over the sea was brilliant all in all everything about our break was the best ever and Whitby is a gorgeous place with lots to see and do will certainly be visiting again in the near future.

Fantastic apartment, the best accommodation we've ever stayed in.

Super comfortable, incredible views and the facilities provided us with everything we needed for a wonderful holiday. The only downside was a few cleaning issues, some marks in the toilet on arrival, dusty surfaces, dusty blinds in the bedrooms as well as a couple of the towels having brown stains on them too. These things didn't detract from our stay but it would have been nice to have them not been there, I think they were so noticeable because the rest of the apartment was so spotless. A wonderful stay overall.

A lovely apartment that we would happily return to ( and we’ve visited 20+ over the years ).

Spotlessly clean and nicely furnished. Very “showroom” - we liked the lack of clutter / impersonality it has ie no ornaments / pictures etc. Nice to have two bathrooms and TVs in both bedrooms for lazy mornings. Kitchen area well stocked with pots and pans etc. all very new. Fabulous location and great views. It’s on the third floor ( there is a lift for those that might want to use one ). Lovely quiet building. A couple of improvements that would have enhanced our stay ; 1. The beds ( while having comfortable mattress’s with good bedding ) are incredibly squeaky which does impact sleep quality. 2. The dining table is far too small for 4. You can just about fit 4 plates on - but can’t eg lay out serving bowls. Nor could we play board games at it. There is space for a larger one so the current one seems a strange choice.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Sandsend View; pity about the weather.

Accommodation was lovely, really comfortable and well equipped. Loved the views of the lashing rain and impressive waves from the window. Managed to park virtually outside which was a bonus, as was the parking permit supplied. Location is ideal for exploring Whitby and the surrounding area; also ideal for helping us to keep fit due to the inclines and the 199 steps. All worth it.

The three of us thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Sandsend.

It was a blessing to find such lovely accommodation with such a superb sea view. The flat was very comfortable, squeaky clean and had all the equipment one might need for a self-catering break (all in very good condition). The public spaces in the building were also very well maintained and clean. The owner answered all queries swiftly. Our first trip to Whitby was a great success and we certainly hope to return both to the town and to Sandsend.

It's a lovely apartment.

Well positioned in resort, lovely sea views. The only real down side is the very hard mattress on the double bed, which is not conducive to a good night sleep, unless you like a really hard mattress that is ( which we dont).

A great flat for two couples conveniently located to enjoy Whitby and the coastal walks.

Sandsend View is an awesome space.

Felt like a brand new property but in the middle of the Royal Crescent. Lovely views over the bay. All the modern amenities that you need. Short walk into town. We loved it, didnt want to leave. I marked down the comfort as the mattress in the double room is very hard, we ended up buying a mattress topper from argos. However, we would still come again. You have to try this place!

I absolutely loved staying at Sandsend View.

The location is incredible and thankfully there were lots of parking spaces directly outside the property. The apartment was super clean, it smells lovely and the welcome basket was such a nice touch. It’s nice having two bathrooms and it’s been decorated to such a high standard. I would stay at Sandsend View again without any hesitation.

We stayed in the penthouse in November and wish we had chosen that apartment again.

Double bed very uncomfortable mattress hard and had pain in my hip and leg afterwards,the smell in the bedroom was foisted and we actually thought it was the shower room but it was the bedroom furniture what the smell was coming from,apart from this,it was a lovely apartment.

Super accommodation.

Everything you could want was there. Kitchen equipment really well thought out. Great to have 2 bathrooms We only used the one double room but both bedrooms were lovely…and spacious. I found the mattress too hard, but my other half liked it…kept meaning to ask if there was a mattress topper! Very polite and helpful owners. Thanks and loved the welcome basket.

Beautifully presented apartment.

Everything was the best quality. Great location and views. Brilliant to get a parking permit. Lovely to be dog free. No doggy smells. We parked outside while I went to collect the permit. Then unloaded the car. Lift is a bonus. Thank you for the lovely welcome pack. The apartment is a credit to you. We would definitely stay again.

Excellent property in perfect location for all amenities.

The apartment was fantastic, could not fault it is beautiful but the location is not suitable for anyone with any mobility issues, my husband was only able to go down to the main town 3 times as he struggled to get back up to where the apartment is located, I would not have booked if I had known exactly where it was.

Finding somewhere to park on the day of arrival was very stressful, drove round and round for ages then had to park across the road and struggled with luggage to get to apartment, paid £9 to stay for 24 hours as dare not move car again. When we did get a space we did not move car again all week in case we could not get parked again. When completing the permit be sure to do it correctly, my daughter missed something off, she realised when we were going up to the paddling pool and was on her way back to get a pen to complete, the traffic warden saw her and told her not to worry as long as she had scratched the correct dates so she left it, when we came back to the apartment we had got a parking ticket so had to pay £25, I was so angry that she had been assured it would be ok and then we got fined.

The people who own the property keep it to a very high standard.

Always a warm homely feeling when you get there . Fresh flowers and some goodies and milk in the fridge. We have been here before at this property and enjoyed it both times. Hopefully we will go again.

Great two bed apartment with views over West Cliff , furnished to a high standard.

No noise from other apartments , Nearest parking was £9 a day for 24 Hour Parking (summer season) , but was really close to the apartment . I'd recommend using the smart TV's Youtube channel to search for Videos of local Area . Walk with me Tim channel useful as well as the North Yorkshire wanderer. Apartment recommended

A short stroll to the beach and the town. Parking right outside with permit provided. Would definitely stay here again if visiting the area.

We have just had a wonderful 5 day stay.

The apartment is fitted to an extremely high standard and has fabulous views from the cliff top over the bay. Our welcome pack was very appreciated. The apartment had everything we required and it was a pleasure to stay there. I would certainly return. Thank you x

The accommodation was of a good standard however the lift to the flat was not working on arrival and the owners, who were aware of the problem, were unable to advise when it would be fixed.

No work was undertaken during our stay so its not clear how much longer the lift will be out if service. Given the flat was on the third floor, we found the 57 steps on a tight stairwell challenging and it's fair to say it spoilt our stay. Taking luggage up and down on arrival and departure was extremely difficult and no offer of assistance was provided. We feel the owners should have made us aware of the problem with the lift prior to our arrival so we could discuss our options. Because of this, despite the property being of being of a good standard, we won't return.

Wonderful sea view. Conveniant location, especially for Whitby Pavillon. The welcome pack is a nice treat and the parking scratch cards are very much appreciated. Wifi could do with a bit more range. Bandwith and speed no issue though. All in all highly recommended.

The property was finished to a very high standard.

It contained everything we needed for our stay. The coffee and food basket were a lovely surprise. The location was perfect for us. Beautiful views from the living room windows. So quiet too, we couldn’t hear any other guests. We parked in the nearby car park as permit parking was always full. But that didn’t affect our stay. We had a wonderful break.

Property is in fantastic order.

Everything we might have needed was provided. Views are beautiful,a very restful place. Very thoughtful welcome pack which we thoroughly enjoyed. We expected parking might be an issue with it being regatta weekend, but not so. The parking permits are key. We are frequent Whitby visitors and will definitely return (if available!) Just a thought, some coat hooks in the hall might be useful in winter.

The welcome pack was a surprise it had everything you needed biscuits sweets milk tea coffee bread and sachets of jam and butter.The location was perfect a short walk into the town.I would definitely go there again

Obviously only recently renovated so everything new. No problems with parking which can sometimes be difficult in Whitby.
